My art entry (and first year participating) for the @tf-bigbang ! And because this was a "Mini-Reverse" version, I took the opportunity of illustrating a very BIG COMPLEX picture of my fav TFA rascals of course 🐦🦡💚

🌟 And I matched with @ivycorp as a writer pal! She did such an AWESOMESAUCE job portraying them in this dynamic! Practically a 1:1 of how I see them personally: lots of funny, endearing, bantering, and even somber moments plus a delightful of descriptions that's like taking a sip of a tropical drink 🍹

✨ Please, give it a read! Or if you know someone who likes this pairing, recommend it! We tried to make something that can be enjoyed by many without the need to support them as a pairing and I think this will be one of the few SFW fics on AO3 of them LMAO that was a plus goal achieved.

Under the cut, I'll keep babbling about my piece because... this had quite THE journey of a process for me, enjoy!

I usually don't render this refined because I don't use textured-pattern-ready brushes but work stroke by stroke on the canvas like an old oil painting. Most of the time I render all in one layer (or merge various layers at the end). So it ends quite taxing, but so rewarding to look at!

It got quite the amount of rearranging and redrawing of scenes to fit better in each place, so that was another factor that burned me up slowly, I guess...

Sadly, I didn't take into account how much time these took, and because I'm not the same person from years ago with free time to sit down and focus for more than 3 hs on a pic (these usually demand between 6 to 8 hs of attention without counting extra corrections) I ended cutting down half the planed scenes :')

But hey! Probably I'll go back to them and finish them to set everything how originally was supposed to be. But for now, I'll take a good rest (my wrists are still trembling a bit) and bask in the beauty of my pal's work too... and bless the admins of the event FOR BEING SO PATIENT WITH ME orz

In honour of The Mandalorian season 3 coming out, I decided to do a redraw from a piece I did a year ago (march 5th)!

It is so jarring seeing both the drawings side by side, the old one really was the beginning of my journey of drawing old men ahahah and you can really see how far I’ve come in a year!! Not only the face, but also my way of doing lineart, and the colouring too!!

It really makes me proud of myself for giving myself the space and time to learn 😌

Also I am still hoping we get to see at least one (1) keldabe kiss from them, do it Filoni don’t be a coward 👀

what art pieces are you most proud of? ✨ show and tell time✨

It's a bit if a tricky question, because i rarely draw full finished illustrations, but here are my favorites from past few years.

Traditional art:

First picture features my OC Charlie, who's like my main oc, mostly because her level of gremliness makes it easy to put her in Situations. I like this piece bc of the perspective and because i dont draw backgrounds often, so im double happy with how it turned out. I even overcame my allergy to references for this one!

The second one is a fancomic i made to a supernatural fanfiction i read longlong time ago. It was a roleswap sabriel fic, where Gabe had a kid and lived in a post-apo universe and Sam fell from heaven (if i recall correctly lol)

Here, the first picture is a screenshot redraw from a Clone Wars episode! I cant remember which one it was tho, and i long lost the og picture, so no comparison, but i really like how it came out even tho if i drew it now Rex would probably look less show-accurate and more actual-20-sth-old-accurate :d

The secind picture is a piece of art i couldnt describe if i tried, and truthfully it belongs in an art gallery, not my sketchbook. The lines, the position, the composition perfect for the genre's standards, my opus magnum /j

When it comes to digital art, i think my favorite piece rn is the art i drew for the fem!dnf week which you can see HERE :)

✨ OLD ART REDRAW ✨

For an in-class assignment, we had to recreate one of our old artworks from beyond 3 years ago. I've wanted to redraw this particular piece for the longest time as I absolutely hated it back in 2018 so it was a no-brainer choice for me 😩 This is Spider-verse's Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman/Spider-Gwen! In my recreation, I was inspired by the graphic Spider-verse art style and tried to emulate that. Only did a half body because we had to complete this ideally within the 3-4 hours we had of class time, although I did continue to refine it later. Overall happy with the results ❤️ Process: Sketch > Flats > AO > Ambient Influence + Key Light > Extra Details + RGB Shift > Screentone Overlay Storytime behind the original piece: Spider-verse had just been released in December 2018 and I was working at my part-time job at a physical IT fair where the company (won't be named for privacy) booth happened to have a banner promoting the movie. As I was a demo artist, my job required me to showcase any sort of digital art while utilising the company's products live. I was inspired by the Spider-verse banner and decided to try drawing Gwen, because I loved her in the movie. While I was busy drawing, a crowd of businessmen in suits along with a camera guy and an emcee came over to describe what my company's booth was showcasing. They then circled around me to watch me draw while the emcee explained what I was doing. For that brief few minutes I panicked as all eyes were on me working on that exact 2018 piece in the first image 🙃 One of the businessmen asked if he could take a photo of my work (appreciate his courtesy for asking me first), to which I obliged but tbh I couldn't say no in front of an audience like that 😩 I'm used to people watching me draw at events but not in that sort of situation being filmed ahah. I was told beforehand that those guys were coming but the actual situation was more overwhelming than I anticipated :’) SOCIALS: Linktree
