30'000 plastic bags, 16 ventilators (2010) by Zimoun Zimoun uses daily, easy-to-find objects and replicates their effects, amplifying the scale and impact of his installations. 30,000 Plastic Bags, 16 Ventilators plays on the relationship between motion & sound. If one were to listen to the soundscape and observe the flow of the plastic bags, they might be reminded of waves crashing by the beach. The interaction in this case is not one of physical interaction, but more of psychological, one that deals with the memory of the viewer. His work provokes thought about the use of everyday things and everyday sounds; the repetition of the same setup creating an almost orchestra-like performance.
