The Rogue Method . Regenerative Agriculture
All one needs to invest in to get started is many different seeds and sow them by the fistful, then only the best will aways survive. Include nitrogen fixing cover crops for fertilisation.
Harvest only half of what you get and let the rest go back to the soil, then for the next season you won’t even need to sow, it’ll all just sprout by itself from the seeds that went into the soil from half the harvest you left there.
The seeds will sprout at different times, so even with rough weather early on there will always be those that sprouted later that’ll survive. Or vice versa, you may lose the later sprouts while the early sprouts thrive.
Walking paths can be created throughout the land in geometric patterns with a thick layer of bark/wood chips mixed with a variety of mushroom mycelium. Mycorrhizal species can be selected for maximum yields, since they entangle themselves with the roots of the crops, creating a symbiotic relationship with the plants and the soil life. They feed not only the plants but also the bacteria and other microbes necessary for the cycle of life.
Mycorrhizal fungi provide the crops with an array of nutrients and water which they absorb like a sponge, very much acting like the nervous and circulatory system of the soil. Fungi thrive on carbohydrates, which are provided by the fruitbodies from the crops that are not harvested and instead are left behind to feed the soil life.
When left alone, life creates more life.
It’s so simple and easy. Every new generation of crops will be stronger and more flavourful.
After sowing once, all that is needed, is to harvest only half, for the rest of your life, and your children’s lives, and their children’s lives… That’s it.
You’ll leave behind a legacy of fertility and food security along with an increase in fertile soil and stronger genetics, adapted to the local soil and weather.
This method can also provide peaceful and safe jobs for the traumatised and depressed.
Very beneficial for children as well and anyone who desires to establish a closer connection with that which created us, that which feeds and nourishes us.
The creative intelligence that is living organic soil.

"Shaming food goes hand-in-hand with shaming the people who eat them. Historically, those people have been low-income, indigenous and African descent groups, marginalized and oppressed under Spanish colonial and post-colonial systems."          "However, as we are now starting to recognize, their local, heritage-foods were much more nutritious than the alternatives later introduced from the United States through the modern food industry, which continues to be recommended by western medical authorities," writes Pilar Guevara @raspando_coco in the latest post on the blog.          Traditional foods and recipes have been perfected over millennia to be not only the safest and most delicious foods, but they're also rich with experience and culture.          As Pilar says, shame and guilt don't benefit us - they only benefit big industries as we, the consumers, become more and more afraid.          To read more about how we can honor traditional foods, dismantle obsolete beliefs that block our knowledge and intuition in food, and help transform our broken food system using heritage and age-old recipes, visit the link in my bio to read this blog post.                  #culturalfoods #regenerativeag #traditionalfood #supportlocalfood #foodculture #foodrecipes #oldrecipes #eatlocal #eatcultural #grandmaskitchen #localfarming      https://www.sacredcow.info/blog/in-defense-of-traditional-foods https://www.instagram.com/p/CDFyp4ZjOIWUoOG_u6VrKInoP3kFGCxnt2WeZE0/?igshid=1nrmt6hhsd7uh

#sundayscience Why we need to 👀 at every element and functions to serve many uses? Nothing exists to perform a one single task, imagine how 🐔🐓🐔🐓 does scratch under a forage garden or forests and its litter provides manure and also regulate 🐛🦗, their feathers makes soil improvement. In the longrun they produce 🐝🦋🐦🕷️ of species that helps the system. At Nateete 🇺🇬 with your donations we're ongoing to make an awareness about the importance of elements that serve many uses especially with tippytaps and indeed to create self reliant ,mitigate climate change and sustainable communities.Good design link each output in such a way that it becomes an input somewhere esle in the system. Every product, service can be potentially be harvested eliminating waste and every behavior if effectively managed can become a part of the overall output of the design. "many hands make work light". Repost from @farmersfootprint To be a truly successful regenerative farmer, you have to also be profitable. Caring deeply about human health, climate change, and holistic agricultural practices alone is not enough to sustain family farms and ensure their long term success. But the good news is, regenerative agriculture is the best way to have a farm that thrives financially. And even large companies are catching on. Last year, @GeneralMills committed to supporting the transition of 1 million acres of farmland to regenerative by 2030, “By fostering natural nutrient cycling, regenerative agriculture practices can reduce the need for expensive chemical inputs. Regenerative agriculture practices can also build whole farm fertility and resilience over time, supporting healthy yields and reducing the resources needed to combat system stressors like pests, natural disasters, and diseases.” From small to large scale, it’s our mission to both educate and help support our farmers as they make the transition into regenerative farming practices. We must let farms know that they can not only make a difference for future generations - but that they don’t have to do it alone. Help us support our regenerative farmers at the link in our bio @farmersfootprint . . . . . . . . #farmersfootprint #lovethyfarmer #regenerativeagriculture #soilhealth #heartyourfarmer #yourfootprintmatters #farmersfootprint #regenerativeag #urbanfarm #groworganic #humanhealth #soilscience #regenerativeag #farm365 #regenerativeagriculture #sustainableagriculture #smallscalefarming #urbanfarm #supportyourlocalfarmer #agriculture #grazing #livestock #nogmo #livingsoil #urbangardenersrepublic #foodindependence https://www.instagram.com/p/B8PiCpzgFdz/?igshid=16srtztdis7ji

#Repost @zachbushmd • • • • • • This is an influenza virus particle. Before you get the flu vaccine, consider this… The public health system is telling us we need to have a vaccine that will protect us against 5 or 6 virus strains out of a possible 10,0000000000,0000000000,0000000000 that exist today. Every breath you take, every nook and cranny of your bloodstream is full of viruses, living in synergy with your biology. On top of that, there is no requirement for pharmaceutical companies to show safety or efficacy of flu vaccinations. The NIH did a Cochrane review (a meta analysis taking all the clinical trials done on the influenza vaccine) and here’s what they found: There is no evidence that the flu vaccine reduces transmission of the virus or prevent complications like pneumonia and hospitalization. There is no measurable health benefit for children or the elderly (the population you most commonly hear are in need of it). The only population that benefited was males 45-65 males and what they found was that this group didn’t contract any less cases of flu, the only benefit was a reduction in their symptoms by 6 hours. 6 hours less symptoms in one segment of the population, and we’ve somehow justified a multi-billion dollar, taxpayer-backed program that is lining the pockets of pharmaceutical companies. We’ve been indoctrinated with a fear paradigm around viruses, not based in science, and there is no proof of safety or efficacy. Tips on ways to really boost your immune system in my story today. "Don't get didactic, don't get dogmatic, it's a relationship not a dictation. Because really you'll just drive yourself into the ground that way because nature will buck at every corner. In that process of observation is really attuning yourself to feedback in a way that moves beyond just saying I recognize this, but moving toward it in a way that reorients your own posture to say I understand this and here is a way I can positively interact with it." - Fields without Fences This amazing #wisdom speaks for itself thank you Johann and Lindsay. 908-996-0525 [email protected] http://www.fieldswithoutfences.org/ https://www.facebook.com/fieldswithoutfences #regenerativeag #regenerativeagriculture #polyculture #permaculture #deepecology #lifewisdom #wisdom #biomimicry (at Kingwood, New Jersey) https://www.instagram.com/p/BuZZHyQHkcU/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1jvmu3kipc5yo

Trump and the corrupt government (sorry not sugarcoating it) may have pulled from the #ParisClimateAgreement but there is direct action we can all take at home and it begins at your doorstep! We can start by taking easy steps like ; * regrowing kitchen scraps * composting and rebuilding organic soil matter to support necessary fungal life (will help retain climate change accelerating gasses in the soil) * providing habitats for wildlife in urban and unprotected areas * planting native flower and tree species * restoring watersheds * turning lawns into edible or native landscapes * cleaning up beaches * eliminating the use of toxic chemicals like #pesticides & #chemicalfertilizers * recycling * Limiting car & plane usage when ever possible (take a bicycle, carpool or take public transport instead) * eating local meats or eating less meats or eliminating meat from your diet all together (keep in mind even "pasture raised" cattle farming is adding to the land usage problem which is another leading cause of deforestation) * eating less soy and palm oil (both are major causes for deforestation of not only the #amazonrainforest but other endangered habitats as well) * voting with our dollars (supporting a green economy) * getting more involved in politics on a local level * peacefully protesting * Getting educated and into the work force to boost the #greeneconomy * Banning fracking * Pressure government to divest from fossil fuels and move towards renewable energy * Implementing permaculture/ regenerative agriculture practices into our lives We need to be having open discussions about climate change and what we can do about it. We can all offer solutions... permaculture is only one design method out of many that offers us easy solutions to our growing list of global problems. Permaculture is a system of agricultural and social design principles centered around simulating or directly utilizing the patterns and features observed in natural ecosystems. The term permaculture was coined by David Holgram and Bill Mollison, in 1978. And since then has grown into a global movement consisting of teachers and students, working the world over to regenerate damaged landscapes into fully functioning food forest. Once started, a permaculture farm can take as little as 6 months to a year to implement (depending on man power and scale of the project). It does not take long to bear witness to the fruits of your labors. There are a wide variety of fruits and veggies that can produce food in as little as 30 days time. Permaculture IS a proven and practical design practice that can be implemented any where, in any climate. For more resources on permaculture you can join groups on Facebook for free or visit : * https://www.openpermaculture.com/ * https://permaculturemag.org/ * https://permaculturenews.org/ * http://www.geofflawtononline.com/ * http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/seeds-permaculture/ * https://www.permaculture.org.uk/research/top-ten-permaculture-books * https://www.facebook.com/groups/Permaculturestudies/ * https://foodtank.com/news/2015/07/sixteen-successful-projects-highlighting-permaculture-use/ * http://inhabitfilm.com/ * documentary Green Gold - Hope in a changing climate - https://youtu.be/YBLZmwlPa8A *
