Okay,,, listen,,, Kun deserves better, SM bring him out of the dungeon. I’m patiently waiting for NCT China’s debut,,,, 

It’s hard finding Kun fanfics, so here’s a list of some good ones! I hope you like them too. Kun is an angel, change my mind.

So, we’ve got a side dish of good ol’ JaeWin, but JohnKun is the main ship, I swear! It’s super cute, though the summary kinda made me skeptical, I thought it was really cute! There’s a minuscule amount of angst, but its backstory “when I was a young boy this crap happened” kind of angst. It’s adorable, though.

There’s some angst, but no relationship angst. I thought it was really, really cute, and also Kun’s there, so that’s a box checked already :,,)

Even though the title mentions a Mina, there’s no Mina in the story? Unless I’m forgetting something. But it’s a really good, cute one. Just TaeKun being domestic and adorable, and Taeyong making a ton of food. It’s really good, go give it a try!

This one is hilarious? Or the part where they meet in the bathroom is. It’s really short, not much too it, but it’s cute and fluffy with no angst.

Summary: Kun is the nicest neighbour Johnny and Yoonoh have ever had. He never complains about the noise, isn't noisy himself, and most of all, always gives them leftovers of whatever food he makes. Really, how could someone not fall for him?

This is exactly what Johnny wonders as he bites into a slice of (gluten free) chocolate pie, totally not falling for his Chinese neighbour.

This is an amazing one. Like, 10/10 love it, go be a confident gay Kun, I love this one a lot. It’s one of my favorites. I can’t really explain why, but you’ll like it too! hopefully... It’s, I’m pretty sure, angst free.

Another Doyoung Kun from sunnyjeno! It’s a cute one, but it’s open ended, so they don’t get together (though it’s implied they do) but it’s overall really cute.

Oh boy, do I have a lot to say about this. I’ll start this speech off by saying that whoever lunalius is, they’re amazing and I would die for them. I’ll continue it by saying this is an emotional rollercoaster. It’s Angst with a Happy Ending in a nutshell with that perfect bit of humor. It’s beautiful, it should be printed and sold and I would buy it and read it every day, that’s how much I love it. It’s a lengthier one, almost 15,000 words (which isn’t the longest I’ve read, but it’s still lengthy for a one-shot). I should mention that it’s a JohnKun story, too. It’s beautiful. Like, 100/10 good. I really, really liked it.

My God, here come all of the lengendary fanfictions. Two favorites in a row. This one is funny, with only a little bit of pining angst in it. It’s hilarious and also includes a gat, which is always amazing. It’s a rarer pair, JaeKun, but I enjoyed it, and, it’s honestly just amazing. It’s super cute.

Winwin is a model and beautiful, Kun works for him and is also beautiful, the rest of the ‘96 liners show up, it’s beautiful. Also a bonus, pretty minimal angst.

Guess whose back.... back again... lunalius is back.... tell your friends.... This one has minimal-ish angst. I say -ish because its between minimal and medium angst, so. Forewarning. It’s very cute, Kun’s son is Chenle, and it’s beautiful. There’s not much I can say without giving everything away, but it’s also a good one.

He made sure to consistently remind Chittaphon and Kun that he, at most, tolerated them. The thing about Sicheng was that everything needed to align perfectly for him to really enjoy something. He had to have a good mood, be around Kun or Chittaphon, and be doing something not silly. That led to to the question: What was Kun trying to accomplish?

Length summary, lol. It’s a really cute, fairly short one full of terrible puns (that gives a little too much away, though). No angst, just Sicheng being tsundere.

Soulmate Headcanons!

(Your hair colour changes every time your soulmate dyes it)

You were born a little different.

Unlike other people you never grew out of thinking about why the clouds would shape like bunnies or appreciating the smell of fresh cotton sweaters.

When you were seven you convinced your parents to dye a streak of your hair with some koolaid dip dye.

And of course since they appreciate you expressing yourself they let you pick any color you wanted.

So your hair was dark red. While it wasn’t the colour you wanted you were content with it for now.

7 year old kun didn’t like the new hair colour on his head.

It wasn’t blue, black or white, his three favorite colours.

So he would continually scrub and scrub and s c r u b at his hair but the colour would never go away.

So when little whiny Kun approached his mother about his new hair colour, she pulled his cheeks and told him about soulmates.

He appreciated the dark red a little bit more after.

Kun entered SM entertainment in 2015 at 19 years old.

It was his dream to become a singer and he couldn’t wait to share his dream with the world.

The training process was long a difficult but he was finally announced to be part of SM Rookies.

In 2016 he released his own single, in Chinese of course Without You

A solo project that not many rookies can say they had done, especially when they’re training to be part of a bigger group such as NCT.

So 2017 came around.

And it was barren.

Being locked in the SM dungeon, practicing hard to release music. Stylists coming in every day to appeal to the board for him to debut officially and managers asking for him to be on their team.

Because SM would be stupid to waste his potential.

But Qian Kun couldn’t take the pressure any longer.

Being talked about in the same room as if he were an object to be placed on a pedestal, as if he wasn’t there

Have people poke and prod him with etiquette training,

And finally attending college classes because what else can he do with the time that was promised to him as a singer

Breaking down in the dorms, silently crying as his roommates who faced the same dilemma tried to hush their own shallow breaths.

Crying yourself to sleep was never fun for Kun.

When he woke up that next morning.

He had bright platinum blonde hair.

He smiled to himself in the mirror, twirling the soft strands in his fingers

At least someone was having fun.

25 years old and you had watched Legally Blonde at least 2685875874 times in your short life span.

It was your favorite movie that inspired you to major in international economics. A major which was crowded by men who thought they were always correct no matter the situation.

And of course you decided on a whim to go abroad for a semester.

Because unfortunately your little thembo head is a little slow when it comes to other things but accounting, you messed up on the forms

So you got placed in South Korea!

Except, you don’t know Korean!

Fortunately your roommate is a Korean exchange student

Who only teaches you the basics because you have one month till your flight!

Landing in South Korea was exhausting, especially with your limited language skills

But that didn’t deter you!

Fortunately your roommate who sympathized with your situation decided to take you out for coffee

Along with giving you the ins and outs of culture and how the difference in educational systems would be like for your stay

They also told you to stay away from anything that remotely looked like a scam

When they took you to the college campus you stared in awe at the buildings.

« This looks like a kdrama my previous roommate always liked to watch! »

Anyways after you toured around for a while you decided to go to bed, it was a tiring long day for you

When you woke up the next day you couldn’t believe what you saw in the mirror

Your hair was light brown!

You frowned at the new hair colour because you were planning to go for a nice pastel combo you found on Pinterest

So you scheduled a hair appointment an hour from now.

Kun was not happy however with the pastels in his hair. The lavender, baby pinks and blues blended together in the bright blonde strands left a wonderful glow in the sunlight

However the stressed out look on his stylist who he had just seen was not something that he could tolerate

« I’m sorry, » a diplomatic smile graced his face as the older woman glared at the colour. « I think it’s my soulmate connection. »

The woman sighed before rubbing her temples. « I should explain this to the department. They’ll most likely put a wig on you for promotions. » Kun gave a sheepish smile and bowed once she had left.

The first day of college was ending, you had made quite a few friends and improved your Korean just a tad.

And since the first day was ending it was time to get chicken and beer.

So here you were, sitting happily as people made conversation around you.

« Hey everyone look! » One of the guys from the close knit group had pulled another one with him.

« I stole Kun! » He grinned.

Your roommate nudged you in the side but you didn’t understand why.

The brown haired man gave a nervous chuckle as he slid into the booth with the others.

« Hello. » he mumbled shyly in your direction.

He looked at your hair in surprise. Shock registering within him, as it had been the colour his hair had once been.

« I like your hair. » he smiled.

You blinked owlishly and grinned wide. « Thank You! »

The afternoon faded into the early evening and your friends were getting drunker and drunker.

Since you were deemed the person who should be the most sober to help your roommate get back to the dorms, you didn’t drink much.

Kun didn’t either.

He didn’t want to miss the opportunity to talk with his soulmate.

Even if it was a little chaotic around them.

The silence was comfortable between you two as you played with your food, shaping the pieces into butterfly wings.

But the the mood was eventually ruined.

When some drunk guy walking passed accidentally BOPPED kun in the head, making the wig fall off to reveal the pastel pink, blue and purple strands mixed with blonde.

You gasped, « We have the same hair colour! »

Kun panicked as he scrambled to place the wig back on. The man who bumped into him apologizing as he went.

« I guess so. » He blushed.

You grinned wider, « I guess that makes us twins! »

You were soulmates.

Your roommate had explained it to you after Kun had embarrassingly let out a shaky « y-yes! » out of surprise about your statement

Eventually he got used to you being a little oblivious to everything that wasn’t focused to your major

a genuine sweetheart and goofball

not only does he say what he thinks/feels, but his whole body reacts

you’d know exactly where you stood with him (though he’d be a little more gentle than the rough Slytherin stereotype)

if you come for one of his sons (NCT Dream) he will fight you

in the most dramatic way possible, because he’s a diva

surprisingly he could have been Ravenclaw

he’s intelligent and seems logical

idk he seems like someone to rationalize things before doing them, even if those things make no sense

certainly creative, how else do you explain his crackhead behaviour

I also love his sense of humour, he’s witty yet ridiculous like how can someone be so smart and so adorably dumb

he’s got some of Gryffindor’s boldness and leadership skills as well, but he’s too rational for brash Gryffindor
