Who created Why-man? Not made on Earth
I'm 95% sure that why man (Medusa) wasn't created by a human.
Tumblr media
After finishing the manga I'm not satisfied with the ending. Is there going to be a sequel to it? When they questioned why man about its creator it said that it doesn't know... just like how humans are not sure of their origin. So is the thing self made or sent by aliens? These pages are enough to confirm that whatever made them is not human.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It talks about humanity as "your kind". It is disappointed in human for rejecting it's offer. It cannot empathize with humans. It also talks about going to other planets to interact with other intelligent life forms, hinting that it knows life exists in other planets. Its intention was to take over human bodies if they prove to be worthy. If made by a human, it gained consciousness, surpassed the human mind like Viki in I Robot.
This is not a cartoon so there must be an explanation like how all the inventions in the manga has science behind it. My theory was that it's Senku's dad, the real dad who's behind all this ever since it's revealed that why man has Senku's voice. I thought maybe he made a robot or something and sent it to the moon. From there the robot steered the wheel. But this thing actually had a mind of its own, can have individual opinions too like the one that came with them back to earth. To create something sophisticated like this requires a masterbrain. It could only be Senku who time travelled in his attempt to save humanity from the future. If not senku some other guy like Xeno. Because I did not expect Xeno's arrival. I thought Senku will be the one and only genius in the stone world. So maybe there could be someone out there... Senku's father? Or alien...to test how humans will survive for some type of selection...in one of the illustrations senku is reading Rendezuous with Rama by Arthur C Clarke. It's a story about aliens. when covid 19 hit I first thought it was sent by aliens to test our survival abilities...so these things will definitely have a brain behind it. Maybe on earth or other planet. Why man said his team will invade other planets so it's possible that in other planets there's life. I just want to know who created why-man so if anyone really knows from the author or extras please share.

Even in the twenty-second century, no way had yet been discovered of keeping elderly and conservative scientists from occupying crucial administrative positions. Indeed, it was doubted if the problem ever would be solved.

Reading classic sci-fi can be such a frustrating experience sometimes, like this afternoon I started reading Redezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke, and I was really enjoying it, this book has a very engaging plot and I’m very curious about what is going to happen next, and then out of nowhere comes this sentence:
Tumblr media
In english for those of you who don't speak portuguese:
Tumblr media
And it’s not said by a character presented as a chauvinistic buffoon but by a character that so far appears to be one of the heroes of the story.
I really don’t know why this type of casual sexism seems to be so much more common in sci-fi than in other books written at the same time, like this is a book published in 1973 for fucksake. Maybe because sci-fi for so long was erroneous considered a literary genre for men that the authors thought it was okay to be misogynists because they thought almost no women would read their books so who gives a fuck.
And I was so immersed in the story, but finding this sentence made me pause and start to think about sexism and about what the author thought the world more than a century ahead would be and what he might have thought about the feminist movements of his day and etc.
I will continue to read this book because I’m still interested, but I’m much more guarded now and it sucks.

I love a line in a book that is completely negated by the title. For example:
