Game rant <3
I was gonna make this yesterday but decided against it for some reason?? Whatever, here I am again, ranting about about a silly little game, with my silly little brain 😍
The game I'm talking about is Killer frequency and MY GOD is it absolutely AMAZING!! The game is such a good mix between horror all while adding some assets of mystery and humor, and sometimes even just chilling because MAN, Is putting on a Record and sitting there talking to Peggy somewhat relaxing! Its such a good game with such a great concept that just keeps you wanting more of it, and oh boy do I want more! ( Little side note, I LOVE how the game can be scary without much jumpscares, since it has scary parts in other ways! )
For those who don't know, Killer frequency is a game where you play as a late night radio host / talker ( Idfk what there called?? 😭 ) named Foresst Nash ( I'll talk abt him later ❤ ) who is forced to take on the role of a 911 operator after an unexpected return of the " Whistling man " occurs. Just throughout the night you save people and solve mysteries and do other stuff all while trying to stop this killer. Isn't that such an interesting concept? Because oh boy do I think it's interesting!
AND THE CHARACTERS OH MY GOD, I LOVE THEM SM! I know some of them are side characters we never see again but I don't care, there all amazing and I love them! ESPECIALLY FORESST BRO- He by far my favorite ( very original aren't I? ) because I just love how he acts throughout this entire thing, he's calm but gets the job done. NOT TO MENTION HE IS SO BABY GIRL CODED 😍😍 / Hj...Moving on, I also love Peggy! She's an energetic person, yet so laid back as well! Plus, I love how she helps us so much even if she can't exit her area! She's honestly enjoyable so I'm so glad we have two enjoyable main character like characters ( Well, Foresst is the main character.. WHATEVER IDC )
Honsetly the game is amazing so if you can watch like one gameplay of it! There should be a no commentary version, but if not, you can just watch some random youtuber play it! It's an amazing game, and if you can play it, even better!
So uh yea..I'm obsessed 💀 Definitely drawing some of the characters soon though, I love this game sm not to!

(for the wip challenge) woah they sound interesting thanks! im really curious about the joshneku detective au, twewy dystopian au, jns fantasy au, reaper au, love, shibuya outline, and twewy the feels. hope its not too much at once?
*rubs my hands together* It's certainly not too much at once!
JoshNeku Detective AU
This is an AU I pitched in the Dead God's Boytoy server and then a bunch of us developed it together and I decided I wanted to write it because I'm just absolutely in love with what we came up with.
Neku and Joshua are detectives working together to investigate a string of murders with a similar MO but no apparent commonality between the victims. Joshua has been working the case for months with almost no leads, so the agency assigns Neku--who just returned to work after a year-long leave--to be his partner in hopes that a fresh pair of eyes will help them crack the case.
I'm probably going to be focusing on this once the bang ends, and I'm so excited!
TWEWY Dystopian AU
I talked about this one here, so I'll share a snippet! This is the very beginning of the fic.
Neku breathed heavily beneath his mask. The alleyway he’d chosen smelled disgusting, and there was an open bag of trash spilling garbage at his feet, but it was secluded and, from what he’d gathered while observing for the past week, almost nobody ever came here. Which might defeat the purpose of the whole thing, but this was just a practice round. He needed to get used to this.
He knew it was dangerous, doing this without a lookout, but… he was willing to risk it.
One hand pinned the stencil against the wall, the other held a spray can in a trembling grip. The stencil was paper, easily disposable, with nothing tracing it back to Neku Sakuraba. He took a deep, steadying breath, and pressed down on the trigger.
JNS Fantasy AU
Neku is a sorcerer with ghosty powers, who runs a shop and offers seances, using his ability to make doors to the ghost world to let people speak to their dead loved ones. One day, Joshua comes into his shop, asking to speak to his father--typical stuff. Except it turns out that he's an exiled demon prince with plans of regaining his full power and ending the world. Neku, in a bid to save himself, offers to help Josh do this in exchange for his survival... which was what Joshua wanted him to do, so off they go, on a quest to bring about the apocalypse. Meanwhile, Shiki, a witch in a cat mask, is trying to stop them, for obvious reasons.
Shenanigans ensue. It’s a goofy JoshNekuShiki fantasy romcom, and my favorite bit from my notes is the line, “I can’t destroy the world without Neku. 🥺”
Reaper AU
I talked about this in detail here, and I put writing it on hold because of the bang but *vibrates at a frequency that can shatter glass* it's so GOOD! I haven’t written very much on it, though, so there’s nothing I’m comfortable sharing as a snippet, unfortunately.
Love, Shibuya Outline
This is a sequel/companion fic to “dear shibuya (end of my life)” by ryyves. It's a canon divergent AU where, because of the events of the first game, the Higher Plane decides to punish Joshua by making him Shibuya’s Producer, stripping him of his control and ability to directly influence the city. He can't get out of it, but he manages to convince them to let him choose the new Composer--and who better for that position than Neku?
We developed this AU together and it turned out they were interested in writing Neku’s storyline and I was interested in writing Joshua’s, so it worked out perfectly. EXCEPT IT'S BEEN LIKE A YEAR AND I HAVEN'T WRITTEN MY PART YET. 😭 In my defense, it is huge, like the fic doubles as a “the Wicked Twisters play the Game normally” AU but from Joshua’s perspective as an outsider, so it’s like... really intimidating? And I’ve only planned like the first two days. 😭
TWWY The Feels
Yes, the misspelling is in the file name lmao I'm too lazy to fix it. But it’s an edit to “The Feels” by Twice, and also a high school au! Nothing fancy, just the characters reflecting on their high school years right before graduation, with a focus on JoshNekuShiki because I'm me. It's made entirely in After Effects using fanart (used with permission from the artists) to tell the story, and has some of my best candy-style editing ever.
I used the song literally just because I like it, it’s cute, and I kept trying and failing to join MEPs with it (either the hosts were ignoring or rejecting my applications, YouTube was eating all of my comments, or some combination, idk) so I eventually just said fuck it and decided to do my own thing lmao

the ephemeral radio. joshua crane investigates a town filled with ghosts of the past, present and future. though one can almost find proof of the non-existence of the paranormal, the little town is the exception for it.
content warning for the entire story: mention of child abuse, mental illness, violence, discussion of suicide, drug use, cadaver and gore.
[masterpost]
Casette no.I. [1K]
Silence lays heavily on the small manx town of Ephemeral. The streetlamps, that look a lot like old gas lamps, but since then renovated to be electrical, are illuminating the town square. There's not a single soul outside, not after the disappearance of Margarethe Shelley.
It's past midnight, as the clock on the library tower says, and as such as this time means that the teenagers and the odd folk of Ephemeral are intently listening to their radios.
"Local police announced they're still on the lookout for the beast that has been spreading fear throughout the entire town. And that has claimed four victims since Friday night.
Authorities asked to remain indoors until the creature has been captured and the curfew is lifted.
You're listening to 102.3, the Ephemeral Frequency, all night, every night." The calming, yet eerie voice of the Host announces his intro for the night. A soft and short tune follows, as they usually do in podcasts and radio stations, and then the Host continues.
"Unfortunately, against the usual method, you need to leave a message for now, if you have any stories to tell about your encounters with the supernatural. Because tonight I have prepared something different for you. We have a very special guest joining us tonight, basically a celebrity since her disappearance from town."
The man says with an excited voice into the microphone as he hangs up an incoming call to the radio. He looks at the woman infront of him, bound to the wooden chair by ropes.
"Margarethe Shelley, an outsider, not so long ago, am I correct?"
"What is this?! Why am I here?!" The young woman answers in a panicked voice, just woken up from her forced dream. She can barely remember where she was or how she got here. She tries against her bonds but to no avail.
The Host doesn't even acknowledge her existence as he continues his monologue.
"Say hello to the audience, Margarethe."
Of course the young woman doesn't reply. She remembers the man from somewhere, but she can't quiet put a finger on it. She barely lived in this town anyway, only arrived a couple of months ago. Her employer sent her there to investigate the strange phenomenas, that's been rumored to happen around this strange old town.
"You know, Margarethe, there has been a lot of speculations about what has really brought you to Ephemeral. No one knows exactly for sure what you were doing here or why, not even our dear mayor, but there have been a lot of theories and rumors."
She scoffs, her blonde hair falling into her face as she angrily replies.
"There's no mystery. I'm only here because of my work. I was doing renovations of old books in the local library."
"Oh is that right?" The man counters quickly with a mocking tone. "The librarian didn't know anything about this mystery renovation of yours."
"My employer is someone else." She bites back bitterly.
"And whom might that be?"
"That's confidential." She says and there's a couple seconds of silence between the two.
The Host smiles and it scares the woman.
"Of course, I understand... yet people have wondered when you left so suddenly, without any warning. Even missing person posters have been put up all over town."
"I wasn't missing." She replies shortly, still there's a sudden change in her voice. No more vice, no more bitterness, only sadness.
The Host knows the reason and he smiles with a grin and continues.
"Oooh, I know. But there have been other missing person reports. Children, barely old enough to leave their house by their own."
"I've had nothing to do with that, please. I'm begging you... I was going to go home to my family, they're surely missing me by now, if I don't return-"
"But of course your family can be glad, because you're not really missing. Unlike the children, brutally attacked and murdered by some beast."
There's silence again before a few tears slide down on the woman's cheeks.
"Please." Is her only reply.
The Host opens his desks' drawer and pulls out a silver revolver, already loaded and he points it at Miss Shelley. She sobs as she closes her eyes.
"If there's anyone listening, come to the radio station please, I'm begging you-"
"Of course, but the children were begging as well, I bet." The Host replies coldly without emotion.
The room is suddenly illuminated, not only by the few neon signs, but the moon as well.
"What's happening?!" An afraid shriek leaves the woman as she starts to shake in the chair, her whole body feeling like it's on fire.
"Margarethe, thank you for being here tonight. This month's celebrity in Ephemeral. We wish you safe travels home... the raining has stopped, the weather is clearing and we featured Miss Margarethe Shelley on The Ephemeral Frequency. We'll be right back, stay tuned."
XXX the radio remained silent for almost an entire minute, as the music was cut off suddenly - note, by J.C.
"We heard from the authorities, and the creature has finally been captured. Our next song is dedicated to them.
The creature has been identified as a wolf, and has been brought down by our brave officers. The victims of this creature are forever in our memories and we keep their families in our thoughts.
I suggest, my dear listeners, you stay inside tonight, though it stopped raining and the last full moon of august is brightly shining...
You know what they say... if there is one wolf, there is usually more around the area.
You have been listening to the Ephemeral Frequency, I'm your Host, and as always, I'll be here for you all night, every night."

Thanks to all our BRILLIANT writers, these fics are so exciting and we are so glad you decided to share them with us!!
———
and i'll never say i love you (but i meant it all along) (Rated T) [Bellamy/Clarke]
Summary: When Coach, a dating system that pairs you with someone for an allotted amount of time and gives no way to bypass its rules, matches Bellamy and Clarke together, they find an immediate dislike for the other. Luckily, they only have to spend twelve hours together and then they can go their separate ways.
That is, until Coach matches them again. And again. And again. Until they start to wonder if something deeper is going on.
Or, Bellamy and Clarke in Hang the DJ
Per Aspera Ad Astra [Through Hardship to the Stars] (Rated G) [Bellamy/Clarke]
Summary: It's boredom one fateful night that leads Clarke Griffin to ditching the first basketball game of the season. That same boredom then leads to her choosing to hang out with one Bellamy Blake – which should feel weirder than it is since they haven't really been friends since his sister's disappearance two years ago.
But then their night really takes a turn.
The two of them discover a strange audio frequency that could change the small town of Arkadia, New Mexico – and the future – forever. Dropped phone calls, forgotten tapes, and strange lights follow Bellamy and Clarke as they race through the night on a scavenger hunt to discover the truth. That maybe there was something more to Octavia's disappearance, maybe there's more to their friendship than being just friends, and that maybe they aren't as alone in the universe as they thought.
through the muted waves (Rated T) [Murphy/Emori]
Summary: Scientists call the Tomorrow People the next stage of human evolution, the government denies their existence, but their cocktail of psionic abilities have made homo superiors the target of Eligius. Even though Eligius has closed the project that allows Tomorrow People to override their genetic inability to kill, they still relentlessly hunt them, desperate to neutralize their abilities. When Murpy wakes up in Eligius headquarters, he knows he’s returned for a reason...if only he could understand his connection to the brown-eyed girl who keeps cropping up on the corners of his memory.
in the red snares (Rated T) [Octavia/Lincoln]
Summary: The prevailing theory around the existence of Slayers (her existence) is that a variation of the alien parasite the miners unearthed deep in the Sub Stratum started infecting hosts in order to combat the vampire parasite. Octavia scoffs at the thought. The theory is probably right, especially since Monty is pretty confident in it, but she still hates the whole thing. The Slayer parasite really needs an upgrade in her opinion.
The Cockroach (Rated T) [Murphy/Emori]
Summary: “This is the cockroach hailing Mission Team Alpha. It’s Sol 30 here on good ol’ Planet Alpha. Not that it’s really a planet, but eh whatever. Technicalities, right? Anyway. Systems check. Arm: healing. Bugs: normal. Radio: shitty. Attitude: good.”
I'm No Hero (Rated T) [Murphy/Emori]
Summary: It’s 2052 and Reapers are wreaking havoc on mutants and humans alike. Murphy is recruited by Kane and Jaha to go back in time to prevent Octavia Blake from starting an international crisis that made the future much worse. But going back to the past comes with some side effects, mainly having to do with some relationships that Murphy left on bad terms.
from angels or devils (Rated T) [Octavia Blake]
Summary: Octavia was dead, and then she wasn't. The nuns say it was the gift of an angel, but they may not know as much as they claim.
Will she be able to learn to channel it's gifts, or will she be claimed by the villain who has followed the Halo through time and space?
Can't Tell if this is True or Dream (Rated M) [Echo/Gabriel]
Summary: “Do you understand your mission, agent?” A cloud of smoke punctuated the Director’s question, streaming from his mouth in thick, grey ribbons.
“I am to evaluate the necessity of the work Dr. Santiago is doing and report back at the conclusion of the investigation,” Echo repeated her instructions. Her lungs filled with second-hand smoke and she stifled a cough.
“I hope you appreciate the delicacy of this mission, Echo.” His intense gaze bore a hole into her’s. “Gabriel is not to know the nature of your assignment.”
She met his gaze with equal intensity as she stood up to leave.
“I understand, sir.”
There are some things written in the stars (Rated G) [Bellamy/Clarke]
Summary: Dear Bell,
I know you have a million questions. When I planned to come see you in Sau Paulo, I knew I wouldn’t have much time, and there was just too much I wanted to say. But also so much I knew I couldn’t. My only hope is that this journal answers some of your questions, and by some miracle saves your life.
My name is Clarke Griffin, a historian. We’ve never met before today, in your time at least. In 2019, I would be just starting my professorship at Arkadia University back in the states. That’s honestly the only reason Murphy didn’t fight me on seeing you — no chance that I’d cross paths with myself. He wouldn’t have been able to stop me, mind you. But he’s definitely the better pilot, so I’m glad he was on board.
I’m getting away from myself. It’s hard to remember a time when you didn’t just instinctively know what I was thinking. It’s felt a little like you’ve just known me my whole life, the way we’ve always been in sync. Let me start from the beginning, just rip the bandaid off…
___
Or the "Timeless" AU you never knew you needed. Submitted as part of the Chopped Challenge: Round 2.
Healing AIs, Healing Hearts (Rated T) [Octavia/Raven]
Summary: Raven and her mother were a perfect team, working with damaged and mistreated AIs and tech. When tragedy strikes, however, Raven has to figure out how to make it on her own. And then there's that new assistant her mom hired, making things interesting.
inconceivable (Rated T) [Bellamy/Clarke]
Summary: The first touch of his fingers on her wrists makes her whole body shiver. She’s so painfully aware of him being just behind her, of the wonder and the impossibility of his existence here, that she has to remind herself to keep breathing as he slowly picks apart the knots binding her hands together. “If I turn around, will you be gone?” she murmurs. “Is this a bad dream? Will you be dead again when I wake up?”
“I’m real,” he says softly, and finally the last knot falls away and her hands are free.
It's practically inconceivable.

Running hug? Lol, I have no idea what that's supposed to be but it just gave me two of the funniest mental images. 1: Lance sprinting through the castle trying to hug everyone as fast as he can for some reason. This nearly puts them all into healing pods as a result because he doesn't actually slow down at any point. The second half of this isn't going to fit so I'll have to make another ask for part 2.
Haha, I meant, like, the hug in the movies where the two people run at each other across a wheat field or whatever and fling themselves into each other’s arms, but this was actually way more fun.  Thanks for requesting it!
Lance found Hunk first, which was good, because when he barreled into his best friend, Hunk hugged him back and didn't seem too concerned when Lance let go and raced off again.
Shiro was equally willing to be hugged, wrapping his arms bewilderedly around Lance before he could back away and run on to his next teammate.  "What’s that for?" he asked, sounding bemused.
"I'll explain later!" Lance declared, running off again.  Two down.
He slammed into Keith two corridors later, almost knocking both of them over.  Keith squawked, offended, and tried to squirm out of Lance's grasp.  "What are you doing?"
"Later!" Lance said, letting him go and taking off again.  Three.  Out of four?  Six?  Seven?  Lance suddenly realized he hadn't asked who, exactly, he was supposed to be hugging, but he figured it was better to err on the side of caution.
Pidge would be in her hangar, but everyone else would be on the bridge, so he went there first, pushing his legs to run faster.  Why was the castle so big?  Usually it was good having a little room to split up so they weren't all on top of each other, but as his lungs started burning, it seemed a little excessive.
When he burst onto the bridge, he went for Coran first.  As he'd half expected, Coran caught him without questioning it, squeezing him back.  "What's wrong, Number 2?"
"Nothing!"  Lance said, extricating himself and jogging more casually over toward Allura "I just have to hug everyone in the castle within the next four minutes, is all."
Allura let him hug her, patting him awkwardly on the back.  "What?  Why?  What are you talking about?"
He shrugged her off, running up to Kolivan, who glowered at him so hard that Lance couldn't bring himself to give him a real hug and settled for an awkward side hug instead, dashing away as fast as he could so that he could both get to Pidge and avoid any retaliation from the enormous Galra.
"I'll explain later!"
It was a relief to be out of the room, and an even bigger relief to only have one more friend to rescue.  He wished he could take Pidge's zipline to her hangar, but he suspected the Castle wouldn't let him and raced down the long way instead, running until he had a stitch in his side.
When he burst into the hangar, Pidge looked up, surprised, from where she was sitting on the floor working on something.  Lance dashed toward her and dove forward, sliding the last few feet on his knees while Pidge's eyes widened and her hands came up to stop him.  He managed to get his arms around her anyway, knocking them both over into a pile of limbs on the floor.
"What the heck, Lance?" she asked disgruntledly, half squashed under him, "Get off!"
He pushed himself off the tiniest paladin, and righted himself, taking a deep breath in relief.  "Sorry.  Slav said I had to hug everyone in the castle in the next 10 minutes or the likelihood of all of us dying in a horrible accident went up by, like, 60%.  That's more than half!"
"Lance, Slav is crazy," Pidge grumbled, sitting up.  "You could have broken my new BLIP tech sensor!"
"Yeah, but he's also a genius, so-"
"A crazy genius.  Did he even tell you why you had to hug us?  What could possibly have gone wrong that a hug would prevent?"
"That's . . . actually a good question."
"So why don't you go ask him, and get out of my lab?"
Lance snorted.  "Yeah, fine.  I didn't want to be in your crummy lab anyway.   I was just trying to save your life.  It's not a big deal or anything."
Pidge rolled her eyes, but Lance didn't want to make a whole fight out of it, so he stormed off instead.
He hadn't gone far in the other direction before Slav whipped around a corner and flung all eight of his arms around Lance.  "You forgot to hug me!" he exclaimed "That was almost a disaster!"
Lance wrapped his arms around Slav in return, heart skipping a beat.  "Oh no!  Did we make it in time?"
Slav thought for a minute, still clinging to the front of Lance's armor.  "Yes, I think so."
Lance sighed in relief again.  "Good.  Why'd I have to do that, anyway?"
"You're blue!" Slav explained, staring intently at the blue V in front of his face, "Blue has a frequency of 606-668 terahertz!  Very protective frequency range.  Cancels out the waves of negative thoughts."
"Wait - negative thoughts?"  Lance's face fell.
"Yes.  I had been caught in a web of fear.  Shiro says I should not get caught up in fear, and I think he is right.  Makes too much negative energy.  Needs 606 terahertz to cancel it out."
Lance groaned.
"Do not worry, Blue Paladin," Slav said.  "You should only have to hug everyone a few times a week to keep them safe.  Maybe once a day if there are a lot of dangers for me to think about."
Suddenly, "explaining later" seemed like a much harder task than it had before.  Maybe he should just walk around the castle with Slav attached to his front and let Slav explain instead.  The alien showed no sign of letting go any time soon, anyway.
