Posted @withrepost • @reversedrescue We saw this poor soul yesterday and sometimes you just know you need to drop everything and go. PAWS looks like the very first pitbull I ever rescued so we weren’t stopping till he left that shelter with us. PAWS was brought into North Central Shelter with horrible marks and open wounds on his face, neck and chest. Completely Shut down and afraid. We loaded up at 4am from the ranch and waited outside North Central to get him out of there right at 8am. No dog deserves to be in a shelter hurt and alone and shut down so bad like this. So now PAWS, who we’ve named “SLOAN”, which means warrior 💪🏻🐶 is in the truck loaded and we are headed to the vet to get him taken care of. He will come to the rescue ranch to decompress in his own room and get all of the love and good food he’s been missing out on! Thank you to everyone who tagged and networked PAWS so we came across him and could go get him🙏🏻🐶🧡 Many more updates coming soon! if you were touched by Paw’s story. Below is an update from the rescue. Please know that there are literally hundreds of other dogs in need of help RIGHT NOW at our shelter. Please consider fostering, adopting or networking them. We have been over capacity for as long as I can remember. That puts a strain on the system. That puts animals at risk. Posted @withrepost • @reversedrescue What a beautiful boy our newest rescue SLONE is. From one shut down boy in the shelter shaking now to our majestic tiger roaming the ranch! He’s adjusting well, loves the ranch although we may have to put the money into getting an impact crate because he’s struggling a bit with decompression at night time (which is normal for new entries). He’s currently on meds for the next 5 days and starting his wound treatments with our company product @boss.cbd Once off his meds then Thursday morning he goes in for his neuter! Once we have a little time to get to know Slone and work on any training he may need, then he will officially be up for adoption. So far he is great with other dogs and people. We do not know about small animals and cats yet as please remember, he is still currently in decompression and healing stage. If you are interested in Slone please goto our website to fill out an app for pre approval of adoption. After interview, home check, meet and greet and approval Slone will come with full vaccinations, microchip (RR stays secondary for life), Free enrollment/deals on pet insurance, 20% off food/treats/toys or anything at PFE, Free training for life at the ranch, half off all boarding and services at the ranch and 50% off all @boss.cbd products for Slone, your family, friends and so forth 🙏🏻 Thank you to everyone supporting Slone and everyone involved with sharing him until we saw him and got him. Regrann from @zachskow - Surrendering your dog for being "old" should be a fucking crime. Or should at the very least result in being immediately open-hand slapped in the face, on video, with permission to post on social media!!! This is a gorgeous, dignified life we are talking about, no less valuable than you or I! A thinking, feeling, regal being, capable of great magic and medicine. He's clearly confused and in shock, depressed at being left there. I know dogs don't think like we do and I'm not trying to anthropomorphism but you can see it!!! I can understand not being able to pay for a dog with mounting, end of life medical bills but simply giving up and turning in for old age is atrocious. If need be, send your dog off with dignity, surrounded by love, not in a cold, loud shelter, surrounded by sorrow. Let's get into action and put our energy into helping him! This #senior #doberman at @palmdaleacc was surrendered for being old. Let's show him and the world that his best days aren't up, that's he's got a real, loving home waiting for him! We just need to find it! Let's post and pledge and share! Les make a point by not letting this old fella just die in there.
