what is mine - han jumin!
Tumblr media
summary: this fic is based off of jumin's birthday special event 2019. for those who have not yet unlocked this special event, this scenario happens when jaehee asks jumin, “what kind of thoughts do you usually have during showers?”
tags: established relationship, fem! reader, possessive jumin, he wants to mark you as his :(, smut, shower sex
notes: oh, to be held by jumin in bed as we share sleepy kisses...
Tumblr media
Jumin thought that the only thing that would come out of his mouth today was a series of “thank you”’s. It wasn’t bad of course, he had expected this since it was his birthday. The RFA members greeted him with many happy birthdays, his father greeted him with the same thing. Jumin has been reminded of many birthdays before this year spent with the RFA members. The way Yoosung set his office sprinklers on because he missed lighting the candles on the cake, setting multiple documents on fire. Zen had given Jumin a horrible gift. It was an alarm clock that had the recording of Zen’s voice. Supposedly to Zen, it was meant for his fans and not Jumin. Well, it’s not like Jumin cared because as soon as he had heard Zen’s voice waking him up one night, he asked one of his guards to lock it up where he could never find it. Jaehee made a self note to ask the security guard where the alarm clock was so she could have it for herself. Last year, everyone was chaotic on Jumin’s birthday. That is why Jumin settled for a chill birthday party. There is no way he would let the RFA gather up again together for his birthday. Instead, the RFA members got to ask Jumin a series of questions in the chatrooms and he would answer them.
Having a relaxed and relatively free morning, gave Jumin the opportunity to stay in bed with you. He didn’t stay in very long considering he still had to leave for the office later on in the day. Jumin held you in his arms all morning. He adored your sleeping figure. There is nothing he would not give up just for you to be in his arms all day. The way he looked at you was like a thousand cherry blossom flowers had bloomed right in front of his face. His lips attached themselves to your face. Small and soft kisses were placed on your forehead, cheeks, nose, neck and lips. They weren’t meant to wake you up but just actions to show his affections towards you in that moment. When he saw a little stirr in your sleep, he paused from kissing you. “I hope I didn’t wake you, my love.” Without opening your eyes and getting blinded by the sunlight that peaked through the windows, you smiled and shook your head. “I was bound to wake up now anyway.” Jumin smiled and left another kiss on your lips. “Good morning, Mrs Han.” He chuckled; it’s been a while since you two got married but he couldn’t help but keep calling you your married name. It gave him a sense of calm. He knew you were his and his only. You were his beloved wife that he cherished. He always needed to remind himself of that. “Good morning to you too, Mr Han.” The two of you stayed in bed for a while. As Jumin rolled your body to where you were on top of him, you wrapped your arms around his warm body, taking all of his available body heat. Jumin kept his arms around your back tying you down to the bed. Kisses were shared between you two. To Jumin, kissing you was addicting. His lips could not leave you. It was pitiful when he had to leave for work, but he knew as soon as he got home, you were there to greet him with a loving kiss and a tight hug.
“My love, I believe it’s time for me to shower and get ready.” You didn’t want to move. You ran your hands through Jumin’s black fluffy bed hair and brought your lips onto his. The kiss was sensual, you let your hands roam his body and soft sighs fill his mind. “Are you trying to make me stay in bed?” Jumin pulled away from your embrace and held your hands in his to prevent them from roaming even more. “Is it working?” Jumin nodded and laughed. “I have already stayed in bed with you enough. Although, I don’t think I can ever get enough time with you. But I need to get ready for my only meeting today.” You sighed as you let yourself fall out of Jumin’s arms as he got up. “I’ll be back before 4, my love. Don’t worry, the meeting won’t be that long.”
Right as Jumin had headed into the bathroom, a chat room had started. Jumin grabbed his phone from his pocket and entered. “Mr Han. Happy birthday to you.” Jaehee congratulated Jumin. “That is the 325th time I heard that today. And here is my 325th answer of the day. ‘Thank you’”. Jumin paused before setting down his phone while preparing his shower. “Here is a question. ‘I usually think about the embarrassing things I did before or fall deep into thoughts as I take a shower. What kind of thoughts do you usually have during showers?’ Jumin chuckled. He didn’t want to tell his assistant what his real thoughts were during a shower so he played a joke on her. “They are different every day… but recently.. I have started to concentrate on the water in order to practice dark magic for beginners. I draw water marks in the shape of footprints with my telekinetic power.” Jumin had let out a little laugh as Jaehee had questioned his answer. “That was a jest. However, I’m afraid that I cannot provide details on the thoughts that run through my mind as I shower. A vast majority of them are private.” Jaehee acknowledged his answer before Jumin continued. “To give you a hint…. I usually think about what is mine. My company, my pet and…. my spouse…. That would be it.” Jumin made a note and left the chat room.
Jumin removed his night clothes and stepped into the shower. As he let the water fall onto his skin, Jumin let his mind run through the thoughts he mentioned just a second before. His company… He had a meeting with a director from another company today. If the meeting went well, he could invite the director to the next RFA party they held. His pet… He got up earlier this morning and fed Elizabeth before crawling back in bed with you. His spouse… The way your hands roamed around his body, caressing each side of him. Your lips on his, breathing slowly as you made out with him in bed. Your lips never left his but when they did, they traveled to his cheek, down to his neck, nibbling up to his ear, sighing softly. In that moment, you wanted each other, you had each other. Not that Jumin noticed but his hands replicated the same movements as yours did. His hands slid over his body slowly rubbing against his skin. The soap he held in his hand dropped, letting the sound caused upon intact on the ground draw him from his thoughts. Jumin was already touching himself. No wonder he felt good. His eyes that were previously shut were now wide open. The hand that was sliding up and down on his throbbing cock had sped up. He wanted you instead. "Are you okay? I heard something fall and.." You opened the door from the bathroom hearing the soap bar falling down and wondered if Jumin was okay. After the soap had fallen, you had heard a spewing of whimpers and groans. You wondered if the soap had fallen onto his foot. But that was not the case.
"Oh…" You had let out a small chuckle. Luckily, he wasn't hurt but the situation you had found him in was more or less than surprising. Jumin, to your knowledge, had never touched himself when he was alone. He preferred you to touch him, to satisfy his needs as he did the same to you. Jumin would always return the favor if you had made him finish. Give and take is what he called it.
Curious as to what made Jumin begin stroking himself, you took a look at his unlocked phone. Jumin froze within the moment. He was caught off guard for sure however, it didn't stop him from feeling more needy. Something about the thrill of being caught by you was even more exciting. As you scrolled through his past messages, you grinned. "Jumin, what is it that you are thinking about right now?" You set down his phone and started undressing yourself. Jumin let out a little gasp as you stepped in the shower with him. "I am thinking about you." You tilted your head, a sign for him to continue with his thoughts. "Your hands roaming on my body, your lips attached to mine. Your moans, your sighs, your-" His thoughts were cut off as you removed his hand from his hard dick and replaced it with yours. "Go on, what else." You smiled, this was the only time you were in charge. Though Jumin could easily take control and put you into submission, he'd rather not. He was enjoying the sensation you brought upon him. As you slowly started moving your hand up and down his hard-on, moans were released from Jumin's mouth. "Mmm only you could make me feel this way. As you are mine, I am yours. You make me feel so good." With deep sighs, Jumin closed his eyes shut, focusing on the way you stroked him in your hand. As quietly as you can, you kneeled to the floor of the shower and kissed the tip of his head. Only after getting a reaction out of him, you took him in your mouth. His eyes remained shut only now focusing on staying steady. "Jumin, look at me." You sternly said. "Focus on me and how you feel."
Jumin opened his eyes to meet yours. Lips wrapped around his cock, your tongue swirling around the base. He felt like he was in heaven. The warmth of the water still pouring down on the two of you only added to the sensations he was feeling. You were so good. He wanted to kiss you to seal his moans but he couldn't then. Jumin rarely cursed during the most passionate times however now was an exception. "You are doing so well for me, fuck, don't stop…" A flow of sighs, moans, and curses were drawn from him. The kind of broken moans that sent a heat wave straight between your legs. You shut your legs closed, the slight friction that you had gotten from the sudden movement made you moan around his length. Oh, you wanted him so bad. His cock started twitching in your mouth, his legs began to shake, his breath was uneasy, you knew he was about to release. You wanted to hear him cum. The unsteady breaths Jumin was letting out, only sent more heat to your core. His stomach muscles were flexing from the pending orgasm he was holding. Jumin was reactive to your every move. It was torturous for him to keep straining his release. He couldn't restrain himself anymore. Giving him a wink and a kitten lick to his tip, he released himself onto you. His white fluids dripped onto your chest, only to be washed away by the water when you stood back up. Your eyes looked right into his as you rose to your feet. "I was worried if something had dropped onto your feet and it hurt you, however it looks like I was the one to drop to my feet." Jumin looked away, disregarding your joke made to him.
"It seems I'll be running late to my meeting today because I want to return the favor you gave me." Almost as if on cue, you jumped and wrapped your legs around Jumin's waist as he caught you. You smiled at him as you two looked at each other. "You are so beautiful. You are the only gift I want." Jumin pinned you against the shower walls and kissed you breathless. Jumin's tongue won over yours as he entered your mouth. He began sucking on your bottom lip, traveling down to your neck and shoulders. He sucked harshly leaving marks behind as he moved to another spot. You are his. These marks reminded you, him, and everyone else that would see them of that. That is what he thought about in the shower. How he could make marks on you.
He always tried to keep his possession over you to a minimum. He wasn't perfect, he never was. It was hard to keep it under control when you had come to the penthouse the first time. Now that you were married to him, this was the way he could remind himself that there was no one to take you away from him. "Mine." Jumin mumbled as he pushed his length into you. It was sudden but the pain wasn't there. You shouted his name as he began to thrust in you. Rambles of his name flew out your mouth, moaning when he had bit onto your shoulder. Your sex was trembling and clenching onto his throbbing cock inside of you. You felt so full yet you wanted more. His hands that were already keeping you steady on him traveled to your ass as he grabbed onto it. "Scream my name. I'm the one who can make you feel good." Jumin whispered into your ear. You were sensitive, all the simulations around you made you shiver from his breath near your ear. You screamed Jumin as you locked on him tighter. Your legs gripped onto his waist tightened as you came. The sweat and fluids you had released washed away by the shower still running. You looked down at the marks Jumin had left onto your chest then glanced back up at him. "So these are your shower thoughts? I should join you in the shower more often." Jumin chuckled before leaning in to give you a gentle kiss. "Unless it's after work, don't dare to. I will be late to work everyday with you in here with me." Jumin placed another kiss onto your forehead before washing the two of you up. He knew he was well beyond late for the meeting but he didn't mind. The more time spent with his wife on a special day, the better.

SFW
“Just for Tonight” | Saeran [Unknown] x MC, 707 & MC | 2,900 words
Inspired by the birthday event chat with Unknown by himself. (Transcript included for anyone who didn’t get the chat.) MC goes to meet the mysterious hacker for ice cream and star gazing, and something about him reminds her of Seven in a way she can’t quite explain.
Tumblr | AO3
“Show Me” | Zen x Reader | 850 words
Zen was usually so careful about making sure you stayed at your own place for the duration of the full moon, so you never bothered to keep track of the lunar cycle on your own. To wake up in his bed with his werewolf form curled around you was a surprise to say the least, though not an unwelcome one by any means.
Tumblr | AO3
“Saeyoung’s Valentine Bistro” | Saeyoung x MC | 4,500 words
AU where the twins reunite without the help of MC. Saeyoung and Saeran go out for an ice cream bro-date for Valentine’s Day to commiserate over their lack of girlfriends, and Saeyoung ends up falling in love with the clerk.
Tumblr | AO3
“Dawn” | Saeran [Ray Route Good End] x MC2 | 2,440 words
After being gone for nearly a month over the holidays, Saeran comes home to MC with an early morning surprise.
Tumblr | AO3
“Christmas Break” | Saeran [Ray] x Reader | 1,710 words
Ray takes you to the Mint Eye Christmas party... only to tell you that he isn’t allowed to take the night off, despite having put so much effort into setting up. You aren’t about to stand for that. (Possibly to be continued, eventually)
Tumblr | AO3
“Between Us” | Saeyoung x MC x Saeran | 1,445 words
MC and her twin boyfriends try their hardest to find a matching trio costume before the RFA’s Halloween party.
Tumblr | AO3
“What You Do To Me” | Mild NSFW | Saeyoung x MC | 1,080 words
MC discovers that her husband is ticklish, and absolutely uses this to her advantage. (Possibly to be continued, eventually)
Tumblr | AO3
“A Lonely Night” | Saeran [Secret End] & MC, Saeyoung x MC | 4,080 words
Saeran copes with separation anxiety in Saeyoung’s absence by sleeping in his bed. MC sneaks into her boyfriend’s bed, not knowing he isn’t home, and finds his brother there instead.
Tumblr | AO3
“When the Seasons Change” | Saeran [Ray Route Good End] x Reader | 1,075 words
Saeran reflects on the seasons of his life, and how they have brought him to you.
Tumblr | AO3
NSFW
“Conception” | Saeran [Unknown] x Reader | 2,500 words
You're a faithful Believer of Mint Eye, a perfectly average cult member, before the day the Savior comes to you with the offer of a special assignment. She offers you the highest honor: the opportunity to be the mother of the first child born in Magenta. Who would be the father, you ask? Only Mint Eye's strongest and most faithful believer, of course. Unknown.
Warnings: Lowkey Breeding Kink, Biting, Marking, Dirty Talk, Unprotected Penis-in-Vagina Sex
Tumblr | AO3
“A Little Nibble” | Saeyoung x Reader | 1,670 words
You don’t necessarily want to distract Saeyoung from his work, but you do want to cuddle. And maybe give his neck a little nibble.
Warnings: Mild Sexual Content, Biting, Foreplay, Light Nipple Play, Cuddling, No Sex
Tumblr | AO3
“Catharsis” | Saeran [Ray Route Good End] x Reader | 3,455 words
When you finally admit to Saeran that his abrasive alter-ego aroused you a little bit more than he scared you, Saeran surprises you with his willingness to step back into the role for your pleasure.
Warnings: All Safe, Sane, and Consensual! Rough Sex, Rough Oral Sex, Gagging, Hair Pulling, Verbal Humiliation, Dom/sub, Unprotected Penis-in-Vagina Sex
Tumblr | AO3
“spin my world into chaos” | Saeran [Ray, Dark Saeran] x Reader | 8,540 words
Rewrite of Ray Route Day 9. How I imagine things would have gone if you could call Dark Saeran out on the fact that he basically begs you to kiss him. Once you realize that as much as Saeran wants to feel powerful, he wants to feel loved even more, all of his actions start making a lot more sense.
Warnings: Route-Typical Angst, Sexual Tension, Pining, An Excess of Foreplay, Over-Stimulation, Multiple Orgasms, Unprotected Penis-in-Vagina Sex, Really Soft Saeran
Tumblr | AO3

Tumblr | AO3
“Maybe It’ll Be Incredible” | Saeran [Unknown] x Reader, past 707 x Reader | 5,130 words
An AU of 707 Route Bad End 1. Unknown ties you up and sends provocative photos of the two of you to Seven to taunt him. Can be read as a stand-alone, if the smut is all you’re interested in.
Warnings: Dubious Consent (due to kidnapping, stockholm syndrome), Light Bondage, Marking, Exhibitionism, Un-negotiated Kink, Unprotected Penis-in-Vagina sex

Every year since 2015, we at Twin Cities Geek have organized our Holiday Toy & Book Drive to support the families served by the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center and the individuals served by the Women’s Prison Book Project.
The Twin Cities geek community came together once again to make the holidays brighter for so many Twin Cities families. The 2019 Twin Cities Geek Holiday Toy & Book Drive drive collected 1,497 toys and gifts and 2,805 books, graphic novels, manga, and comics for a combined grand total of:
4,302 donations!
All of these items were supplemented by generous cash donations of $500 from Nelson Cosplay’s Holiday Market and $135 through community donations on Facebook for a total of $635!
This effort was made possible by a team of over 20 volunteers who made deliveries, sorted donations, and helped with content creation over a period of almost two months. This massive project would not be possible without geeks in our community going the extra mile.
Each and every one of you who volunteered, donated, or helped spread the word about this year’s Holiday Toy & Book Drive helped make a difference in someone’s life this holiday season. You all are amazing!
Donated books await new readers
Just one pile of donated toys
Alisha poses in front of donations while volunteering
Mary shows off a donated toy
Donations for Families in Need
The donated toys, gifts, and children’s and young-adult books were distributed to children and their families in the Summit-University neighborhood in St. Paul through Hallie Q. Brown Community Center. As in past years, we especially asked you to donate items that would make good gifts for teens, and you came through again, giving all manner of tabletop games, video games, graphic novels, collectibles, YA books, DVDs, and more. This is important, as toy-drive initiatives like Toys for Tots so often focus on gifts for younger children—tots—but we geeks are well aware how much it can mean as a teenager to receive a great gift that reflects our interests, and the income level of our family does not change that simple fact.
So, on behalf of all the young adults whose lives you have touched, Twin Cities Geek would like to extend another extra thank-you for being awesome!
Books for the Women’s Prison Book Project
Of the total donations, we also collected 483 paperback books to donate to the Women’s Prison Book Project in Minneapolis! We delivered these to Boneshaker Books, who will distribute them to women and gender-diverse people currently serving time in prison.
Donations delivered to the Women’s Prison Book Project.
Again, thank you to everyone who donated paperbacks. You have helped people you will probably never meet but for whom something as simple as a book can mean so much. And that is a feeling a lot of us geeks can relate to, regardless of our circumstances.
Special Thanks to Local Business and Organizations
Of course, the 2019 Twin Cities Geek Holiday Toy & Book Drive would not have been possible without the generous support of local geek-friendly businesses and organizations throughout the metro who agreed to host donation boxes for us. Many of them have been participating for multiple years, and we were so happy to have them back again—and we were also thrilled to have even more new locations joining us this year for the first time! Many stores also donated to the drive themselves in addition to hosting boxes.
This is a special thank-you to all of them, and we would like to encourage the community to check out these wonderful businesses and organizations throughout the year.

How The New Orleans Saints Are Approaching Free Agency And The Rest Of The NFL Off-Season
The New Orleans Saints were this close to making it to Super Bowl LIII, and the NFC Championship game will be both remembered and tainted for the foreseeable future. This season was a tremendous improvement over 2017, which is saying a lot based on how much Sean Payton's team overcame during three 7-9 seasons from 2014 to 2016. Now, they must pick up the pieces and keep moving forward.
The 2019 season has a lot of promise on the surface for the Saints, but at the same time, it looks to be the closing act of an era. For two years in a row, this is a team that has rapidly improved. Make no mistake about it, the window for getting another Lombardi Trophy in the hands of sure first-ballot Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees is in the end game stage now. In turn, the Saints face their most important offseason yet.
Expiring Contracts
Running back Mark Ingram headlines the list of impending unrestricted free agents for the Saints. These are players free to negotiate with any team during the NFL's "legal" tampering period prior to free agency opening. Ingram, who turned 29 at the end of December, has expressed a desire to return to New Orleans, but understands that the NFL is a business. Ingram faces some hefty competition in the free agent running back market, and may not immediately see a starting role offered to him. Reuniting with the Saints would make a lot of sense.
Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who was acquired via a trade from the New York Jets in late August, looks to hit the open market and be an intriguing player to watch. He had a public audition for all teams interested in the regular season finale against the Panthers in Week 17, but didn't exactly have the type of performance that anyone was hoping for. There's a chance for the Saints to get back a compensatory draft choice from a potential Bridgewater departure, as a major financial commitment to him would seem unlikely with some $33.5 million in salary cap space already allocated to Drew Brees.
The Saints also have some role players and depth pieces that they could and should consider bringing back. Linebacker Craig Robertson, safety Chris Banjo, tight end Michael Hoomanawanui, offensive linemen Jermon Bushrod and Josh LeRibeus, cornerback P.J. Williams, and defensive tackle Tyeler Davison are all candidates New Orleans could look at re-signing. Of course, watch out what happens with wide receiver Dez Bryant, who has indicated that he wants to be in New Orleans in 2019.
One other thing to watch for is what happens with defensive end Alex Okafor, who actually triggered a clause in his contract that allows him to to become a free agent and opt-out of the final year of his contract. The Saints did make a good faith gesture towards Okafor by giving him a $400,000 contract incentive that he fell one sack short of making. Perhaps that move by the front office helps him stick around for 2019.
The team has some work to do to ensure they keep their exclusive rights (ERFA) and restricted (RFA) free agents. The good news, from a financial standpoint, is that ERFAs get a 'take it or leave it option' from their club with no options of negotiation with other teams in free agency. So, this can be a cost-effective addition for the front office to make with players. Long snapper Zach Wood, linebacker and special teamster Vince Biegel, offensive lineman Cameron Tom, defensive back/standout special teamer Justin Hardee, and defensive back Rickey Jefferson should be no-brainer adds for the Saints.
The RFA class may be a little different to handle, which includes four players: Kicker Wil Lutz, running back Daniel Lasco, wide receiver Tommylee Lewis, and cornerback Ken Crawley. Restricted free agents can be pursued by any team, but New Orleans would be able to match or retain that player with said offer. This happened last season with the Saints pursuing wide receiver Cameron Meredith from the Bears on a two-year, $9.6 million contract in which Chicago did not match. Of the group, Lutz is the most important piece, and in all likelihood Lewis would be the other one brought back.
Team Needs
New Orleans could very well become a serious contender in 2019, but they'll need to upgrade in a few areas to help do so. Benjamin Watson is reportedly retiring, ending a very successful career that started back in 2004. Tight end is a very big area of need for the Saints in the new season. The team will have Josh Hill, Dan Arnold, and Garrett Griffin competing at training camp, but it's an area the Saints simply need to get better at.
Sticking with the offensive side of the ball, a lot of the team needs could hinge on other things. For instance, if Mark Ingram leaves in free agency, the Saints would need to look at another running back to compliment Alvin Kamara. However, that would be easier said than done, given the chemistry the two have developed over the past two years. New Orleans will also have an interesting decision to make with left guard Andrus Peat, who has a fifth-year option worth a $9.625 million cap charge. An upgraded No. 2 wide receiver, and swing offensive lineman are among the team's other needs on offense.
Defensively, the Saints are fairly set with the starting rotation. The loss of Sheldon Rankins in the Divisional Round will hurt, as the torn Achilles' tendon could likely put him on the physically unable to perform/reserve list to start the season. Couple that with Tyeler Davison potentially becoming a free agent, and the team may need some defensive line help. Other than that, New Orleans mainly has depth pieces to backfill. Slot cornerback Patrick Robinson should return to the mix in 2019, and the Saints would need to look at getting their No. 4-6 slots filled out. A third safety in the rotation could also be in play, as Kurt Coleman's salary cap hit of $7 million hardly seems worth it. A post-June 1 designation would save the Saints $5.5 million. Finally, linebacker depth will be an area to look at, as Craig Robertson and Manti Te'o are impending free agents.
Off-Season Targets
While the Saints have several areas they need to address to remain a contender, the kicker here is that they don't have the strong type of draft pick arsenal like they've previously had. Of the six picks they'll have, their highest is in the 2nd round. The rest are Day 3 picks starting in the 5th round. Mickey Loomis and the front office wouldn't be shy to make a deal to move up in the draft or acquire more picks, but it looks like most of the major improvements for the 2019 squad will come via free agency.
The best path for New Orleans isn't necessarily the flashiest, as the main theme would be gaining value and building the depth. Free agency is an exciting time for many, and the comprehensive list of players will always give you some surprise candidates that get released because of financial business decisions. For the Saints, some free agency targets would include Spencer Ware (Chiefs), T.J. Yeldon (Jaguars), C.J. Uzomah (Bengals), Jesse James (Steelers), Marcus Martin (Cowboys), J.R. Sweezy (Seahawks), Denzel Perryman (Chargers), and Darius Philon (Chargers). All of these players could fit the bill financially for the Saints, getting signed to two or three-year deals with some good bonus incentives.
However the Saints choose to attack, they already have a strong nucleus in place that's made up of strong leadership and talent. As painful as it was seeing their season end in such a controversial fashion, this is a team that has proven it can overcome and endure. Head coach Sean Payton will most assuredly do what's necessary to help get his team back into the postseason in 2019, and it all starts in just a short month and a half when the new league year starts on March 19.

China’s Communist Party ‘Hates All Religion’—RFA Uyghur Journalist Gulchehra Hoja
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg_TetdzjWg
American Thought Leaders - The Epoch Times Premiered Aug 8, 2019
What convinced Gulchehra Hoja, a former producer for a state-controlled TV station in Xinjiang, China, to risk her life and defect to America?
Why has the Chinese Communist Party detained over one million Uyghur Muslims in re-education camps in Xinjiang, where they are brainwashed and tortured?
And why is the Communist Party taking Uyghur children from their homes and putting them in state-run facilities, where they’re forbidden to speak their language and observe other parts of their culture?
This is American Thought Leaders 🇺🇸, and I’m Jan Jekielek.
In this special episode of American Thought Leaders 🇺🇸, Epoch Times journalist Venus Upadhayaya hosts an interview with Gulchehra Hoja, a prominent Uyghur journalist for Radio Free Asia. Before her defection to the United States, Gulchehra worked as a program producer for Xinjiang TV, a state-controlled network that is part of the Chinese regime’s vast propaganda apparatus.
We discuss her defection from China and the heavy price she has had to pay for her activism and public stance against the Chinese Communist regime’s treatment of her people.
We also look deeper at what exactly compels the Chinese Communist Party to brutally persecute Uyghurs as well as other religious and spiritual groups in China.
“We have to show those dark spots to the World.”
“Our souls are separated. We are the voice of those people. We are the hope of those people (millions).”
“We don’t know what is real inside (the camps). We don’t know what is happening inside (the camps).”
[Pray that people remember the good that is inside their hearts, that Chinese Leaders see the truth of the situation and turn from their destruction of unique cultures that are a medicine to the sickness of hatred and poverty that will otherwise spell the destruction of China rotting within.]

North Korea to Hold Crypto Conference in April
North Korea plans to host an international summit of experts from the cryptocurrency industry. The Pyongyang Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Conference will be held in April of next year at a science and technology center in the national capital.

Delegates to Pay €3,300 to Attend the Forum
Alejandro Cao de Benós, a special delegate for the North Korean government’s Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, announced the upcoming event in a tweet this week. According to the conference’s official website, the event will be held between April 18 and 25, 2019. International experts in the field will gather “for the first time in Pyongyang to share their knowledge and vision, establish connections and discuss business opportunities.”
The main summit will only take two days, but attendees will also enjoy an organized tour of the country that will include a trip to the city of Kaesong and a visit to Panmunjom in the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. The Korean War Museum, the Juche Tower and the Kim Il Sung Square will be part of the itinerary as well.
During the first few days of their stay, the guests will be taken to the Great People’s Study House and the Pyongyang University of Foreign Languages. And before they leave, they will visit an information technology company, the Taedonggang beer brewery and conduct private business meetings with their counterparts.
Recreational activities such as skating, bowling, shooting and shopping will all be part of the program, which will cost delegates €3,300 (~$3,760). The amount includes accommodation at a three-star hotel with three daily meals, including a vegetarian menu, transportation, Korean-English translation services and access to the conference venue. However, participants will have to pay for their visas separately, which cost another €80 each.
South Koreans, Japanese, Israelis and Journalists Not Allowed
The actual forum itself will only take place on April 22 and 23 at the Pyongyang Sci-Tech Complex. Interested representatives from the international cryptocurrency industry are welcome to join, except for citizens of South Korea, Japan and Israel. Holders of U.S. passports will be allowed to apply, but the event will be closed to the media.
Participants and lecturers are required to send copies of their passports, as well as contact information and short resumes that identify their positions, as well as the companies or organizations they represent. The documents will be accepted up until Feb. 10, 2019. The FAQ section of the event website assures attendees that North Korea “can be considered the safest country in the world.”
Cao de Benós, who is also the president of the Korean Friendship Association (KFA), will lead the conference in cooperation with cryptocurrency expert Chris Emms. According to The Independent, Emms currently serves as an expert within Britain’s All-Party Parliamentary Group on Blockchain, a forum that was set up to make the U.K. a leader in distributed ledger technologies and related innovations.
North Korea and Cryptocurrencies
Pyongyang’s plans to organize an international crypto event were first announced this past August. According to a report by U.S.-based Radio Free Asia (RFA), the event was initially scheduled to take place in October of this year. The broadcaster quoted one security expert as saying that the North Korean government wanted to demonstrate its capabilities in the field of crypto technologies at what it referred to as the first Korean International Blockchain Conference.
Earlier reports that the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology had started offering crypto courses appeared to confirm the country’s intentions to develop its potential in the cryptocurrency space. There have also been numerous other reports indicating that North Korea, which is currently under western economic sanctions, had become interested in crypto technologies because of the opportunities they provide for unrestricted and anonymous global transactions.
Over the past year, the North Korean government has been accused by officials in Seoul and Washington of a number of alleged crimes related to cryptocurrencies. In February, the South Korean intelligence service said that hackers associated with the North had been trying to attack digital asset exchanges in the South. And in March, a former representative of the U.S. National Security Agency claimed the North had obtained 11,000 bitcoins, worth more than $200 million at the time, through mining and hacking activities in 2017.
What do you think about the upcoming cryptocurrency conference in North Korea? Tell us in the comments section below.

Several Saints entering contract year with varying expectations, leverage
Mark Ingram, Hau’oli Kikaha, and all the tight ends are up for renewal
Every spring brings expiring contracts, and the New Orleans Saints are no exception. They handled their 2018 free agency departures well enough, with their only starter (Kenny Vaccaro) still visiting suitors while the team brought in new talent. But what’s the long-term forecast? Which Saints entering a contract year in 2018 will return after that?
Mark Ingram
Ingram should enter the 2018-2019 offseason with every major Saints rushing record to his name. Twelve games post-suspension is plenty of time for him to rack up the 800-ish yards and 6 touchdowns needed to surpass the marks Deuce McAllister established. Ingram will also be turning 29 this December, typically signalling a sharp decline for running backs, but his career spent in a platoon means Ingram should have 900 to 1000-plus fewer touches to wear and tear on his body than other backs like Marshawn Lynch, Adrian Peterson, and Frank Gore.
Ingram changed agents earlier this spring ahead of new contract negotiations, and they’ve apparently advised him to hold out of voluntary workouts to build some kind of leverage. That leverage went out the window after Ingram was suspended four games for PED’s, but he’s still going through with the decision to save face, I guess. We could be on the path for an ugly divorce, seeing the franchise champion in rushing records leave after contract talks fall out.
Predicition: Ingram re-signs at another below-market contract, playing in New Orleans throughout his career and setting new franchise records that will last a generation.
Hau’oli Kikaha
Like Ingram, Kikaha also recently switched representatives. Kikaha is now repped by Rosenhaus Sports, one of the larger agencies available to pro athletes. Given the investments New Orleans has made at edge defender - drafting Marcus Davenport, Trey Hendrickson, and Al-Quadin Muhammad and signing Alex Okafor and George Johnson the last two years - it seems Kikaha has a tough road ahead of him to even make the roster.
Kikaha was a hot topic around last season’s October trade deadline, though interest was characterized more as teams calling New Orleans to make offers rather than the Saints shopping their former second-round pick. They ended up trading away Stephone Anthony instead, who was drafted just a dozen spots ahead of Kikaha himself back in 2015. It would be stellar if Kikaha shows this year he can make plays at linebacker (itself a crowded position group) as well as on the edge, and earn an extension in New Orleans. But that’s feeling increasingly unlikely.
Prediction: Kikaha is a last-minute trade at the end of minicamps as some team gets the jump on competitors for his services. The Saints probably get a late-round pick in the 2019 Draft as compensation.
Tyeler Davison
The Saints made nine selections in the 2015 NFL Draft, of which four are still on the team and just two of them starting (Davison and offensive lineman Andrus Peat). That year was Jeff Ireland’s first on the job as college scouting director, and led to immediate staff overhauls and changes in methodology that turned into the epic 2017 Draft class. Davison has been a decent nose tackle, but he’s never taken a big step forward to command doubled-attention. Unless that changes with another year of Ryan Nielsen’s instruction, this is probably his last season in New Orleans.
Teams don’t pay up for linemen who can’t rush the passer - guys like Beau Allen, Corey Liuget, Domata Peko, and Sylvester Williams are only paid $3- to $5.75-million annually. The New England Patriots needed a big body in the middle, so they traded for Cleveland Browns nose tackle Danny Shelton (ironically, one of the 1-31 administration’s better defenders) and declined his 2019 fifth-year option (worth about $7-million). Look for there to be interest from the Saints if Shelton is a free agent next spring - they would have picked him had he been available.
Prediction: The Saints let Davison walk in free agency and he gets a solid deal somewhere. They replace him with Danny Shelton, whose Patriots lose to the Saints in the upcoming Super Bowl.
P.J. Williams
Splashes of nice plays here-and-there haven’t turned into consistent production for P.J., and it hasn’t kept the Saints from restocking the defensive backfield early and often. Now he’s at best fourth on the cornerbacks depth chart behind Marshon Lattimore, Ken Crawley, and Patrick Robinson. That said, it’s no final judgment: Williams turns 25 in two weeks and has appeared in just 20 games, including last season’s two-game playoff run. He’s got plenty of time to find a role for himself in the NFL.
But just like how teams don’t pay big bucks to nose tackles, they’re prone to cycle through younger defensive backs. Valuing their speed more than other factors, teams rarely re-sign their own corners and seem to prefer fielding cheap draft picks and undrafted players who can just focus on running with opposing receivers. I wouldn’t be shocked in the least if Williams returns on a modest contract, but with Crawley due a big payday in 2020 (assuming he gets a one-year RFA tender after his three-year contract expires) the Saints would be pressed to justify investing too much in a still-unproven player at the position this soon.
Prediction: Williams plays out his Saints contract and leaves for a fresh start, possibly getting a nice contract and returning a rare compensatory draft pick to New Orleans for the 2020 Draft.
Manti Te’o, Craig Robertson, and Nathan Stupar
The Saints have identified their top three linebackers pretty clearly, though it’s unclear yet where each of them will line up - Demario Davis, A.J. Klein, and Alex Anzalone figure to start. That leaves a clear second class at the position who all, incidentally, look to be free agents next spring. Manti Te’o is the youngest of the group (he turned 27 last January) and is probably the best candidate to see a contract extension. Robertson is a solid backup who can spot-start here and there, but the Saints signed him thinking he’d play mostly special teams. Injuries have forced him into a bigger role than they would have liked.
This is a healthy situation despite the number of free agents-to-be. You want to see your aging players phased out by younger, better, and cheaper options. It’s worth noting that if Davis turns out to have been a one-year wonder for the New York Jets, the Saints effectively locked themselves into a two-year contract; it would cost them an additional $4.35-million to part ways with him if things don’t work out in 2019. But I liked the signing and think he’ll be an asset as an experienced, dynamic defender at middle linebacker, so hopefully that won’t be an issue.
Prediction: Te’o continues to play at a high level in his reserve role as a backup middle linebacker and is re-signed in 2019. Robertson is made expendable by young additions, and Stupar moves on.
Benjamin Watson, Josh Hill, and Michael Hoomanawanui
The good news is Josh Hill doesn’t turn 28 until next Monday. The bad news is Hoomanawanui will be 30 next month, and Watson has long-accepted time to be a mere social construct. The Saints have some promising rookies at the bottom of the depth chart (namely Deon Yelder, an undrafted free agent out of the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers tight end factory) but there doesn’t appear to be a long-term plan at the position.
I feel more anxious about this position than any other. I’m sure the Saints can return each of these guys at minimal investments, and they probably will. Tight ends are notoriously slow to develop, thanks to complex NFL playbooks that ask them to both block and run routes while going against physical, different defenses than they encounter in college. So if the Saints have to ask a free agent or rookie to step into a starting role next year without an experienced mentor to help shoulder the load, it’s going to be dicey.
Prediction: Watson retires after going out with a Super Bowl win, while Hill is re-signed and Hoomanawanui explores his options in free agency.

Bank frauds rise to record Rs 1.13 lakh cr in H1 FY20
Latest Updates - CA Mitesh MUMBAI: Frauds reported by banks during the first half of the current fiscal touched an all-time high amount of Rs 1.13 lakh crore, owing to delay in detection by lenders, according to an RBI report. This involved 4,412 fraud cases of Rs 1 lakh and above, as per the report. In FY19, banks had reported 6,801 cases of fraud involving Rs 71,543 crore. "An analysis of the vintage of frauds reported during the FY19 and H1 FY20 shows a significant time-lag between the date of occurrence of a fraud and its detection," RBI's Financial Stability Report said. The amount involved in frauds that occurred between FY01 and FY18 formed about 90.6 per cent of the frauds reported in 2018-19 in terms of value. Similarly, 97.3 per cent of the frauds reported in the first half of FY20 by value occurred in previous financial years. During the first half of 2019-20, banks reported 398 cases of large value frauds (above Rs 50 crore) worth Rs 1.05 lakh crore. Lenders reported 21 cases of frauds above Rs 1,000 crore, worth a cumulative Rs 44,951 crore. The report said loan-related frauds continued to dominate in aggregate, constituting 90 per cent of all frauds reported in FY19 by value and 97 per cent of all frauds reported in H1 FY20. The Reserve Bank is taking steps to integrate fraud reporting of NBFCs and urban co-operative banks in its central fraud registry database. Such interlinking would serve as an invaluable resource in effective fraud detection/monitoring, it said, adding, "a greater thrust has been put on improved governance." Special emphasis is being given towards specific expectations on board/ its committees and senior management towards fraud management. A sharpened focus on fraud response plan is being sought from the banks and for this, stricter timelines and clear cut guidance with respect to reporting of frauds and declaration and processing of red flagged accounts (RFAs) will be prescribed, the report said. Bukidnon wins Mindanao football cup
#PHnews: Bukidnon wins Mindanao football cup
DAVAO CITY -- The Bukidnon Football Association (BUFA) boys needed a superb performance from their reliables in the second half to trounce Davao White team, 4-0, and capture the first ever Mindanao Cup at the Tionko field on Saturday.
They earned a trip to the Luzon Cup set in Tarlac late next month and PHP30,000 worth of football equipment courtesy of organizer and football patron, Ricky Yanson, of Negros Occidental Football Association (Nofa).
Star striker Kurbe Dairo once again led the Bukidnon squad which is manned by players from Manolo Fortich Central School, Plantation Elementary School in Camp Philips, Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School (OLLES), and Del Monte School in the second half after a scoreless halftime.
Dairo of OLLES dished two brilliant assists and scored a goal all in the second half to insure their victory.
He whipped a left footed pass to striker Cade Sanchez of Del Monte School who then scored from point blank in the 37th minute.
One minute later, he found midfielder Prince Aseniero of Plantation Elementary School unguarded at the center during a corner kick.
Aseniero then quickly scored a one touch goal to put the Bukidnon boys ahead by two goals.
Dairo then completed his all-game brilliant performance with a rocket shot from long distance in the 40th minute to put them beyond reach.
Sanchez then delivered his own long distance shot in the 47th minute to seal the victory and the title.
It was actually a seesaw battle in the first half with Davao White taking shots in the offense with Anthony Elorde, Carlos Donado and Mohammad Abutazil leading the charge.
The Bukidnon boys, however, put up a solid defense with Jim Fabela, Adriel Algador and goalkeeper Jun Melig taking charge of the back to frustrate the host team.
“We needed just a goal and they collapse,’’ said victorious coach Guillier Sumampong of OLLES.
He added that this tournament is very useful for the team in their preparation for the NMRAA meet in Tubod, Lanao Del Norte in December.
The Bukidnon boys also brought home all of the special awards except for the Best Striker award which Jedd Gabriel Ceballos of Mt. Apo RFA won after scoring a total of 14 goals in the tournament.
Dairo won the MVP award, Melig the Best Goalkeeper award, Algador the Best Defender award, and Aseniero the Best Midfielder award.
The Bukidnon boys advanced to the championship when they downed Mt. Apo Regional FA (Mafra, 4-0, in the morning while host Davao White advanced when it downed sister team Davao Red, 4-2, in the semis. (PNA)
