Minnesota Twins-New York Mets Series Preview
4.9.19- Kyle Gibson RHP (0-0) 9.64 ERA Vs. Jacob deGrom RHP (2-0) 0.00 ERA
4.10.19-Jake Odorizzi RHP (0-1) 6.75 ERA Vs. Noah Syndergaard RHP (0-1) 4.50 ERA
The Twins At A Glance- The Minnesota Twins were riding high into Philadelphia before the Phillies took two out of three games at Citizens Bank Park. The good news is that the Twins have been in seven of the eight games this year. The only blowout loss was on Friday night. Now, the team heads to New York to play the Mets in a two-game series. The Twins traded Tyler Austin to the Giants for minor league outfielder Malique Ziegler. Max Kepler has been hot lately. He hit 5-for-14 with three homers and four RBI’s in Philadelphia. Nelson Cruz only had one at-bat this weekend. He pinch-hit in Sunday’s game and didn’t play in the outfield. Jorge Polanco is hitting 12-for-32 (.375) on the year. The Twins bullpen has been strong so far this year. Trevor May has thrown four scoreless innings, Ryne Harper has not allowed a run in 2 2/3 innings, and Trevor Hildenberger has three scoreless innings. The starting staff has been roughed up a big with bad starts by Jake Odorizzi and Kyle Gibson, who get their turn this week. Chase De Jong hasn’t gotten into a game making the Tyler Austin DFA seem like a bad decision. The team could have waited until they absolutely needed another reliever on this next homestand to keep Tyler Austin on the team.
The Mets At A Glance- The New York Mets are off to a good start in 2019. They took two out of three from the Nationals, swept the Marlins, then the Nats took two out of three this past weekend from the Mets. The Mets made some big moves this offseason. They added Wilson Ramos, Robinson Cano, JD Davis, Keon Broxton, Jason Vargas, Justin Wilson, and Edwin Diaz. Chili Davis is now the hitting coach of the Mets after spending one year with the Cubs. Jeff McNeil is off to a good start with a .409 average this year. Peter Alonso has three homers to lead the team. Robinson Cano is struggling with just eight hits and a .205 average to start the season. Steven Matz and Jacob deGrom have been great in their first two starts of the year. Noak Syndergaard and Jason Vargas have been solid as well. Edwin Diaz has 3 2/3 scoreless innings and four saves on the year. Jeurys Familia is back with the Mets after they dealt him at the trade deadline to the A’s. The Mets have Todd Frazier, Jed Lowrie, and Yoenis Cespedes all on the injured list right now.
What To Watch For- The Mets are (11-7) all-time against the Twins. The Mets have a seven-game winning streak in the series after sweeping the Twins in 2013 and 2016. The last series was in 2016 where Bartolo Colon outdueled Jose Berrios in Game 1. Curtis Granderson hit a walk-off homer in Game 2 and the Mets beat up on Kyle Gibson in the finale. The Twins are (4-8) all-time in New York. Kyle Gibson is (0-2) with a 7.27 ERA in two career starts against the Mets. Jake Odorizzi had one start against the Mets and went 6 2/3 innings and allowed one run. Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard have never faced the Twins in their career. Jose Berrios, Eddie Rosario, Edwin Diaz, and Seth Lugo were all on Team Puerto Rico in the 2017 World Baseball Classic. Other names on the roster were JC Romero, Kennys Vargas, Hector Santiago, and Rene Rivera.

Is there raincoat au lore? I need to know all about the sillies
Thare is... i can direct you to dis post that has a basic summary of the plot.. but I forgot to go over more on what the Oil Sludge deal is in the original post. So i will continue my recent charlie kelly pepe silvia rantings here.
Essentially it is a scientific version of the blurry paint from canon and very very similar to venom in a way . Being a parasite, shapeshifting, etc. Wjatever. But it's origin is a lot more important to the story than anything . Being discovered by commercial fishing off the coast of a large Icelandic island (Trench) for killing vast amounts of wildlife and fucking up their appearances . Instead of being donated to science, the fishing company, Being big and greedy, decided to sell it off and created a hostile capitalistic auction for researchers instead.
The preserved affected wildlife and oil samples were acquired by DEMA. And since, DEMA bought out the coast of the island (Port Vial) to begin a research village to continue extracting the oil and to run unethical tests like they usually do. (Their original American institute was originally based in Chicago, but having to downsize, they moved to Columbus. Nico always wanted to begin offshore work and bit at this opportunity as fast as he could)
After the purchase though the fight for the oil never truly stopped, and it led to inner conflict in DEMA from scientists trying to steal their own and to sell it off to other facilities. And some (illegal) purchases were successful, and the oil got into the hands of an institute in Mexico. Where a scientist works that may or may not be the ex-spouse of Keons.

Most of this takes place before Jim, Sunny, Jackie and the rest of the second generation boxhound were born....Welcome to the world Raincoat Prologue ❤
This post isn't really focused around a specific character i'm sorry anon... But know she's truly the heart of it , Our beautiful Ohioan Oil Slop Dragon...
