. #OnThisDay August 31,1985 @scorpions headlined #dayonthegreen in #Oakland. The day started off for me and @larryabunda with @yngwiemalmsteen_official & #RisingForce. Yngwie just shredded and it was a shock to us that Mark Boals was in vocals replacing Jeff Scott Soto who recorded the “Marching Out” album that was Yngwie’s release at the time. @Metallica with #CliffBurton were next and they were INCREDIBLE. It was during the #RideTheLightning era and they were just stellar during this hometown performance. Sadly the same couldn't be said for #YandT who also were making also a hometown performance and they were disappointing (and I loved their albums too.). @Ratt just got pelted by empty soda cups during their set. @scorpions were last and playing on Rudolph Schenker's birthday and promoting the just released #WorldWideLive. Pretty the same setlist as the 2 nights at the #CowPalace, but still a solid set.
