His Uttar Pradesh: Tilak Varma and Arshdeep Sing get called up in the India A squad for the final two four-day encounters against the England Lions in Ahmedabad as Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a 14-member squad on Friday. The spotlight shifts to Rinku Singh, a T20 sensation, who is set to make his India A debut in the last four-days after his stint as a reserve player with the India Test squad in South Africa. With 43 first-class matches under his belt and an impressive average of 58.47, Rinku's anticipation builds. His Uttar Pradesh teammate, Yash Dayal, also earns a place in both squads against England Lions. Jharkhand's Kumar Kushagra, a wicketkeeper-batsman, joins the squad alongside spare keeper Upendra Yadav, replacing KS Bharat and Dhruv Jurel, who are called up for the senior side's Test matches against England. [ad_1] White ball dashers Rinku Singh (71 batting) and Dhruv Jurel (54 batting) curbed their natural flamboyance and morphed into red ball grinders to carry Uttar Pradesh out of the woods on the opening day of the Ranji Trophy cricket match against Kerala at the SD College ground on Friday. The unbroken 120-run sixth wicket stand between the duo stalled Kerala’s hopes of wrapping the innings quickly after it had reduced Uttar Pradesh to 124 for five. The visitors ended the day in a comfortable position of 244 for five after play was called off for bad light.Rinku, after surviving a half chance early in his innings, batted with assurance on the tricky surface. The left-hander played the deliveries on merit and flayed the loose balls. He brought up his fifty in style, depositing Jalaj Saxena over long on for a six.ALSO READ: Ranji Trophy 2023-24: Late bloomer Koushik cherishes purple patch after record wicket-haul against PunjabDhruv was very much the silent partner in the blossoming partnership early on. However, Dhruv displayed his range of strokes on both sides of the wicket to compliment Rinku as the duo frustrated the host in the final session.Earlier, overnight rain and bad light delayed the start by one-and-half hours. Uttar Pradesh skipper Aryan Jayal bravely chose to bat under a cloudy sky. M.D. Nidheesh, who troubled the openers early with his bounce, trapped opener Samarth Singh (10) in front with a delivery that barely rose above the batter’s knee. Aryan, on eight, survived a chance early when Rohan Kunnummal dropped him in the slips off Nidheesh. But the batter couldn’t cash on his reprieve as he feathered a catch to wicketkeeper Vishnu Vinod off Vaisakh Chandran for 28. The UP skipper, by then, had added 58 runs for the second wicket with Priyam Garg to put the innings on track. Aryan’s dismissal triggered a mini collapse as UP slipped from 75 for one to 124 for five in the second session.ALSO READ: Ranji Trophy 2023-24: Anustup Majumdar, Sourav Paul give Bengal the edge over Andhra on opening dayPriyam looked set for a deserved half-century but was beaten by a ball from Basil Thampi that kept low. Sachin Baby then took a flying catch at short leg off Jalaj to end Aksh Deep Nath’s stay in the middle. IPL’s most expensive uncapped player Sameer Rizi (26) entertained the crowd by clubbing two fours and two sixes but he fell trying to hit Shreyas Gopal for his third as the mishit was comfortably taken by Sanju in the deep. Rinku and Dhruv then got into their rescue act to thwart Kerala. [ad_2] Source link

A Process To Follow
Please Note- This Blog is just based on personal opinion and some observation regarding the sport of cricket. There is no intention to harm anyone anyways.
It has been just few days the carnival of cricket -IPL has ended. This year’s IPL was a crazy one where many Nail Biting Encounters were witnessed.Apart from that this IPL gave many great players some recognition for their heroics like Rinku Singh from Kolkata Night Riders,Yashasvi Jaiswal from Rajasthan Royals,Akash Madhwal from Mumbai Indians etc.
The players who performed well gained a lot of fame and became a discussion topic specially in Social Media. During the whole IPL tournament which ever player performed well in his department like Bowling or Batting or even say fielding with special mention to the catches they took, made them famous.
While they were giving great performances there were talks of the players being potentially good and  fit for the upcoming worldcup in this year. I saw some posts that spoke about Yashasvi Jaiswal’s great performance against many teams scoring Big runs.
I agree  and respect the feelings of everyone wanting a particular player to perform in the big stage or say international level but in my opinion I feel is that whoever has played well in IPL  should be first sent to play Domestic cricket or First Class-cricket or some tournaments like Ranji Trophy or Duleep Trophy and then if they fare well in these tournaments then they can be selected for big stages by which I mean playing on international Levels.
Let us take an example of a student in school.  Now any student is first selected for primary school to get them well wersed with basics. Then that student progresses to higher grades or classes based on their academic performances and then they come to the stage of giving board exams. No student will directly go in to the highest grade just like that. It will be making a fool of themselves . The same goes with the game of cricket.
In the previous blog named “IPL-A Spoiler” I had posted an article from Google which showed the Big IPL Players who failed on international Level. It happens only when players are selected only based on their IPL Performances and not given exposure to start from the grind. One thing is a must to remember that Playing for IPL and Playing for country is a different game altogether.IPL  cannot be a single criteria for choosing players for big levels.
Hence I would like to conclude by saying that Let the players who played well in IPL to follow a particular process of playing on small levels and then if they are successful there then promote them to big stages like t20 world cup or ODI World Cup or test championship. I really hope this happens and then we shall see IPL Stars performing well in Big games.

Youngest Players in IPL: Top 5 Youngest IPL Debutante 2020
The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) gets closer day by day. The cricketing extravaganza is set to begin on 19th September in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament has been moved outside India owing to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation that has affected the entire world.
The IPL has always proven to be a platform for the emergence of young players, providing them the opportunity to showcase their talent on a big stage. Since the inception of the IPL in 2008, we have seen a lot of promising players rise to stardom for their franchise and then going on to play for their national teams.
In this article, we take a look at five such potential future stars who will be gunning to utilize their chance as they make their IPL debuts this season.
Tumblr media
#1: Yashashvi Jaiswal (Rajasthan Royals)
Yashasvi Jaiswal was one of the most talked about youngsters heading into the IPL 2020 auction and was primed to bag a sizeable amount from the bidding. Eventually, it was IPL 2008 champions Rajasthan Royals who were able to get him for a whopping prize of INR 2.4 crore.
At the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2020 held earlier this year, Jaiswal proved his mettle as he finished as the top-scoring batsman with 400 runs in six matches. He also won the 'Player of the Series' award for his performance at the tournament.
Jaiswal is the youngest cricketer to score a double hundred in List A cricket and possesses the ability to play attacking cricket, which is well suited for the T20 format. Besides, he can also bowl leg spin, which can come in handy.
With Rajasthan Royals going big for the youngster's services, Jaiswal will be hungry to prove himself and do well this year in the IPL.
#2: Ravi Bishnoi (Kings XI Punjab)
Tumblr media
Ravi Bishnoi is the second name on our list. The young right-arm leg spinner will be playing for the Kings XI Punjab IPL franchise after they bought him for a sum of INR 2 Crore.
Bishnoi plays for Rajasthan in the domestic circuit and made his debut in the 2018-19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Owing to his impressive performances for the team, he was selected in India's U-19 squad for the 2020 World Cup.
The youngster impressed in the tournament as he finished as the leading wicket-taker, capping off with a four-wicket haul in India's loss in the final against Bangladesh.
Bishnoi joins the Kings XI Punjab side who have lost the services of talismanic spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. He will be aiming to make a mark alongside Mujeeb ur Rahman and potentially form a solid spin duo for the IPL franchise.
#3: Priyam Garg (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Tumblr media
Priyam Garg was another sought-after youngster in the IPL 2020 auction before Sunrisers Hyderabad bought the player for INR 1.9 crore.
Garg is a right-handed middle-order batsman who made his domestic debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy. He ended up with a healthy tally of 814 runs in ten matches, finishing as the second-highest run-getter for the side after Rinku Singh (953 runs).
He was named India's captain for the ICC U-19 World Cup 2020 and ably led his side to the final, contributing with the bat whenever the team needed him to. Sunrisers Hyderabad can deploy Garg seamlessly in the middle order behind their fiery openers; he can come in at number three or four and make a mark.
#4: Kartik Tyagi (Rajasthan Royals)
Tumblr media
Rajasthan Royals continue to be the torchbearers for backing youngsters in the IPL. The next name on our list - Kartik Tyagi - is another testament to the IPL franchise's penchant to go for young players. Tyagi was bought by the Royals for a hefty price tag of INR 1.3 crores.
Kartik Tyagi plays for Uttar Pradesh in the domestic circuit and has played for the team in the Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Tyagi was one of the stars in India's bowling attack in the U-19 World Cup quarterfinal against Australia as he dismantled the top-order and ended up with a four-wicket haul. He has the ability to swing the ball both ways and delivers around at around 140kph, which could be a handy asset for the IPL franchise.
Alongside Jofra Acher, Royals can slot him in as an additional pace option to grab timely wickets. His ability to swing the ball might come in very handy in the IPL.
#5: Tom Banton (Kolkata Knight Riders)
Tumblr media
The final name on the list is probably one of the most exciting cricketers to have hit the T20 circuit in the last couple of years - Tom Banton.
The 21-year-old England wicketkeeper-batsman was one of the hyped names in the IPL auction last year. However, it was a massive surprise when he went for his base price of INR 1 crore to Kolkata Knight Riders without any other IPL franchise seemingly interested in him.
Banton has the ability to play shots all around the ground like Mr. 360 AB de Villiers.
He scored a total of 223 runs in seven matches in his Big Bash League debut season for the Brisbane Heat, doing so at a stellar strike rate of 177. The youngster has only played three T20Is for England but has scored his runs at a superb strike rate of 164.70.
Banton, who provides Kolkata Knight Riders another fiery option to add to their arsenal of big hitters, will be hoping for an impressive IPL debut season.

Russell is currently world's best all-rounder: Rinku Singh | Cricket News
New Post has been published on https://jordarnews.in/russell-is-currently-worlds-best-all-rounder-rinku-singh-cricket-news/
Russell is currently world's best all-rounder: Rinku Singh | Cricket News
ABU DHABI: Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Rinku Singh feels no one can match the big-hitting prowess of explosive all-rounder Andre Russell and he remains the World’s best all-rounder at the moment. The Jamaican allrounder, who joined KKR in 2014, has been in sensational form in the last two seasons and remains the talk of the town ahead of the 13th IPL which will get underway on Saturday. Check IPL 2020 League Stage Schedule “There is no one who can hit the ball better than him. He has a lot of life and strength in him,” Singh said in an interview on KKR’s website. Russell had amassed 510 runs from 14 matches at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 204.81 and was also the leading wicket-taker for KKR with 11 scalps to his name in the last edition. “His sixes are massive and I just don’t see any batsman as a competition to him. He is the best all-rounder in the world at this moment,” Singh said. The 22-year-old said he hit it off well with Russell from the first season despite his lack of proficiency in English. “I haven’t really spoken much with him because I can’t speak in English that well. But yeah, the first year we enjoyed a lot on his birthday in our room,” Singh said. “We even partied and danced together. So, I guess we started bonding well afterwards.” Singh became a part of KKR in 2018 and in the same year he finished as the leading run-scorer for Uttar Pradesh in the group-stage with 803 runs in nine matches. Crediting the turnaround to his training at KKR Academy under Abhishek Nayar, Singh said: “I didn’t do well in the one-dayers (before Ranji Trophy) and I had spoken to Abhishek sir about it. He called me over and we trained a lot. “I don’t think I have ever batted so much in my life as much as I did there. For almost 5 hours every day I used to continue batting and my hands even bled at times. The perseverance paid off in the Ranji Trophy later that season,” said Singh, who finished the tournament with 953 runs in 10 matches. Singh said that his father always wanted him to focus on studies and would beat him when he wanted to play cricket but one school level match changed everything. “In 2012, Delhi Public School had organised a tournament of teams from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. I scored 354 runs and took eight wickets, because of which I was given the Man of the Series award and a bike. My parents were present on the ground. After this match, he never touched me again,” he recalled. On his road map for getting into Team India, Singh said: “I have set small goals. To start with, I want to do well in IPL. Then I want to play for India A and eventually for India. I definitely want to play for India in the next few years.”
