Patreon commission for @theheavycrown — Archie comics style drawing of her and her friend Cat @bettycooper as Rivervixens. Needed to warm up a bit as I haven’t drawn in this style in a while (and I haven’t drawn full bodies in regular proportions in a while, either! Haha) but it turned out okay, I think! I’m much better with the polar opposite sides of my drawing styles.. either the super minimalist face cutesy doll art, or on the other side of my spectrum, the super detailed dark stuff. It’s a challenge for me to draw things in human proportions 😂

4. how did your elementary school teachers describe you? 

Oh god, i was deeply shy, compulsively obedient, and hyperlexic so mostly i imagine their comments ran the gamut from “a joy to have in class,” to “instead of playing with the other kids at recess, she hides in the bathroom and reads, is she alright???” [Reader, i was not]

11. what you have for breakfast on an average day?

I generally go through phases where i really go hard on one kind of breakfast every day for weeks on end, and then suddenly hate it, much like your average cat. I’m not usually a sweets for breakfast kind of girl, but right now i’m very into full-fat greek yogurt with a mix of two kinds of granola (luxe!) with added raw almonds and dried cherries. We’ll see how long it lasts.

30. places that you find sacred?

Oooh this is a tough one. I’m not terribly spiritual, but i think art museums have a particular kind of sacred power over me. I cannot be unhappy or anxious in a museum.I don’t even think about the outside world that much. It’s a safe bubble, a liminal space that has positive potential? I don’t know if that even makes sense, but i feel like it’s true for me.

Also i am a devoted napper, and a good nap spot that is separate from my sleeping space is totally sacred. I’m always admiring comfy nooks for napping in other people’s spaces.

7. What’s a book you hope to read while quarantined?

Since I know you’re a Tana French fan, I will say, I’ve read her books that AREN’T in the Dublin Murder Squad Series, so my goal is to read the ones that are! So I just started In The Woods. 

13. What time did you go to sleep last night?

Gaahh not until like 2AM. I tried to go to sleep earlier but couldn’t sleep, then I made the mistake of trying to read fic and it backfired and I stayed up TOO late. 

37. If you had to live in one item of clothing for the rest of this quarantine what would it be?

I answered this for Liv but my second choice would be what I am actually currently wearing, which is my union sweatshirt. It’s both very comfortable and reminds me of solidarity in times when we feel far apart from others.
