Fixing some armor for a friend

A heart wrencher of a story, actually. And I am not entirely sure I am kidding. After throwing out his blowup doll, Dilton meets a girl. They seem to hit it off, but then she realizes their incompatibility and walks off as he bores her with piles of scientific lingo. She returns home and her head falls in the lap of her plastic blowup doll. And this is a story actually published by Archie Comics, and panels that when presented on reddit and the like have gotten immediate accusations of being fake.

Why is there a mannequin sitting in the window naked? I am not entirely certain this contraption counts as an "android", though I do note the highly sympathetic Dilton has given this gift to Ethel before. Kind heart, that Dilton, in doing his best for his lonely friends in this lonely world. And, so too for his robot dog.

Okay, so Archie has the hots for this robot. Though -- it doesn't take much for Archie, does it?

Yet another entry in the chronicles of "I'm Going To Fix This Even Though My Solution is More Convoluted Than Buying A New Thing"

The strap hadn't actually broke yet, but I could see it wearing down so I just bought a small panel of leather, took some waxed twine and a thick needle and sewed it on after cutting off the part that was wearing out so I could measure it. Don't ask me how much physical effort the sewing took.

I didn't feel like sewing across the top of the patch, but my dad has plenty of rivets so I used two of those; no point buying leather rivets when these alunimum ones work just fine. The patch is askew on one side because I'd only sewed one half of the patch on before putting the rivets in; I had the idea to use rivets in the middle of sewing so I ended up putting them in before finishing sewing.

It all turned out fine in my opinion anyway. Will probably use some wax to seal the edges of the leather at some point.

(I'm aware you can buy detachable straps for bags but the ones I found only had clips in rose gold, and I don't shop online unless it's my only option. Also, I just enjoy fixing things.)

"Russian flagship": Su-57 "delighted" the Chinese... with holes in the hull! Invisible rivets visible from space

Such an abundance of rivets protruding from the fuselage indicates that the assembly of the fighter jet no longer meets the new requirements...

P.S. Take a close look at the body of the Russian Su-57 jet fighter, the bomb hatch cover and the nozzles of both engines... It is not necessary to understand the Russian language...everything becomes clear from the video details...
