Never in cinema’s history, a press tour of an actress was done as brilliantly as Margot Robbie’s #Barbie promo around the world. Brilliantly linking fashion to its topic (Barbie!). With the help of photographer #CraigMcDean and her stylist Andrew Mukamal, the actress was carefully documenting this moment, that is now the subject of a book edited by @RizzoliBooks, scientifically recording this fashion moment, from the curation of vintage pieces, to the approach of designers from #GiorgioArmani to #DonatellaVersace, to create looks inspired by the doll-size originals. Many of these looks from the book were not seen as the official Barbie press tour was cut short—so here is your preview. Swipe left to see more.

On a hot summer night in August of 1973, DJ Kool Herc and his sister put on a “back to school jam” in the rec room of their apartment block at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue in the West Bronx.

The birth of Hip Hop began in the Bronx but it’s impact and lasting legacy spans the globe and influences music and fashion.

“Fresh Fly Fabulous: 50 Years of Hip Hop Style" by Rizzoli Books s draws on the experiences and memories of those who were there, all documented by the groundbreaking photographers who captured it firsthand, including @Janettephoto Beckman, @JamelShabazz, and @ErniePaniccioli.

The book goes on sale in February 2023 and accompanies an exhibition at The Museum at FIT from February to April 2023.

#finding There’s a trunk show of @luzcaminomadrid in @bergdorfs till 8th January. Having seen her pieces alive I envy those who can touch and look closer to her new collection, that was made just in time to meet her 50th anniversary in the profession. @rizzolibooks are about to publish her album, but I used the opportunity and asked her few questions upfront… She’s a legend that made enamel fashionable again. Unlike other critics I don’t see association with art nouveau designs in her creations, I don’t believe that using pliquée-a-jour is enough to be “guilty” by association. I find her works much more realistic, natural, than romantic and truly inspired by the nature as it is, in its own right, free from human connotations and style cannons. Just beauty, just mastering the materials and giving birth to the precious reality. You can read her interview on @lostinjewels site, link is in my stories and in bio. It appears in 'More Is More Is More: Today's Maximalist Interiors' in the chapter focused on COLOR. Kevin shares his thoughts on the room, “Being part of a larger room overlooking Central Park, this dining area needed a personality of its own. The cool powder-blue Venetian plaster is the perfect foil for the warm tones of the gold satin–upholstered walls in the adjacent living area. The grasshopper-green upholstery and pillows provide the perfect counterpoint—a nod to the verdant trees just outside the windows in spring.” Second shot pattern: 'Dawnridge' in peacock by Cristina Buckley. Available through Schumacher #Repost @carldellatore Designers steeped in the aesthetic genre understand the importance of mixing patterns in maximalist interiors, and perhaps none more than New York based Markham Roberts. This image, which aptly appears in the chapter on PATTERN in 'More Is More Is More' underscores the point. Roberts shares some insight into the space, “In the dining room of the late nineteenth-century sea captain’s cottage overlooking Puget Sound that I share with my partner, James Sansum, I upholstered the walls with a Décors Barbares print designed by my longtime friend Nathalie Farman-Farma that I custom colored to work in the room.
