Golden Trouble
@rkjinjin
Today Luda gave herself a bit of time to do some window shopping and maybe to reward herself with something small. She was still upset about last month's evaluation prank, about the coaches just shouting and shouting at them, blaming at them, almost making her cry, when really, no one had done anything at all. It didn't seem right, it didn't seem fair, because if it really had happened, she was sure the group would've been blamed without much of a chance to prove anyone otherwise.
She sighed as she looked at a pretty pair of shoes and tried pushing the annoying thoughts away. They weren't of any help anyway and it wouldn't change anything either. Instead she should consider the details for her next evaluation. She'd chosen a song and began practising of course, but the whole singing and dancing at once thing wasn't so easy. Of course she'd done that during the mgas and evaluations before, but this was different, the dance was harder than she was used to and before this, she didn't have to sing the whole song while dancing.
As she was lost in thought, she suddenly saw a big dog - a golden retriver? - walking around by himself. She cautiously walked toward it. “Hey there buddy, where's your human?”, she asked.

mission confidence
@rkjinjin
Becoming a trainee was a lot harder than expected, escaping a burning building or ripping Mount Everest with your bare hands was perhaps easier. It wasn't like it was physically hard on Dongyoon, but it was definitely mentally hard. He had managed to keep the whole trainee thing a secret, mother really couldn't find out, she would go crazy and suddenly get high hopes, everybody else couldn't find out because that would make the chance of mother finding out bigger. But keeping it a secret had its difficulties, he had no one to talk to it about and no one to help him. However, it wasn't like nobody in the whole world didn't know, other trainees of KT of course knew, and so Dongyoon had made it his mission to make friends within KT, process going slower than expected, but he was still making some.
If Dongyoon had to guess why KT signed him then he would guess because of his confidence, because he can literally not do anything else, singing, dancing and rapping just isn't something he's particularly good at. He can play soccer, but it wouldn't really make sense that they signed him because he's good at that. Confidence was his best guess, if you thought about it, he was always confident, he performed bingle bangle in a crop top and still had confidence like no other.
It seemed like this guy had noticed Dongyoon's confidence, at least they had asked him to teach him how to be so confident and immediately Dongyoon had said yes, this was his chance to make friends. He had invited the guy out to a very fancy place, a tree. He had brought a very fancy camera, his phone. And the two were about to do what Dongyoon would call a 'photoshoot'.
"Okay listen here buddy, all you gotta do is, pose and look confident".

「 genie 」
a rkjune19eval starter for @rkjinjin
when they had chosen the songs that they would learn, jaehyun was completely alright with lc9′s view and shinhwa’s perfect man-- however there was another song that he was unsure how he or any of the other guys would pull off. chichi’s genie-- jaehyun wrinkled his nose as he opened a live version of the song on youtube and started playing it-- ‘soweoneul malhae bwa,’ jaehyun’s mouth opened a little... “goddess of fortune?” he uttered  as he paused,
“hyung,” jaehyun turned to jinwoo, looking as confused as he will ever be-- “i don’t think that i can do that,” no, jaehyun didn’t think-- he KNEW he couldn’t pull off a dance like that.
jaehyun had never really listened to kpop-- he had always been busy with volleyball but when this came out-- while i was still in elementary school, all the girls in his year were big fans and danced to this.
“i really--,” he cut himself off, even if he knew he’s struggle, he had to learn this-- “how can i?”

who would you consider your best friends?
Tumblr media
“Let’s see… Dodo, Buttmin, Momjin, Swag rock, and Woocasso are my main squeezes. They’re more commonly known as Doyeon, Dongmin, Jinwoo, Minhyuk, and Sunwoo. I’m also pretty close with Jongin and do consider him my best friend within the company. But I’m always up for collecting more best friends!”

my eyes, my breath, my heart want you  —
                                                                                         #rkfeb19eval — no air by THE BOYZ                                                                            february 28th, 2019: MONTHLY EVALUATION                                                                                                                                  ( 0:04-4:07 )
the evaluation seemed easy enough — probably to slow things down after the entire jeju trip and stress package. he was wrong, of course, but he didn’t know it.
making performances in smaller groups meant he’d naturally get more lines in it. minseok always made sure to state he didn’t mind for those as his focus was always towards dancing. plus, he’d much rather let those who were better singers to sing than sacrifice lines for someone who didn’t mind only having a few.
still, the results of their line distribution were way more than he had expected. it gives him an itch on the back of his neck, but nothing that’d make him actually speak up about it. some, while not exactly hard, felt a bit too much for him. if you put the lyrics and the choreography side to side, it just looked like a hard time deciding what to dedicate yourself to. the few days less in february suddenly felt like a year lost in his books. the near week it took for the evaluation to be announced only serve to heighten his worries.
what keeps him on his feet is the fact they’re allowed a backup track. that means he could focus on a good overall performance rather than wondering if his voice would crack at any given instance.
the fact he’s the first to sing doesn’t really bother him. it helps get the nerves settled right at the start, and then deal with them as the song progresses. they are easy and clean, and soon enough minseok can focus on his dancing.
as a result of a near-month of practice, the song goes by faster than it normally is. the chorus is hanging right above their heads, and, suddenly, the music stops. minseok doesn’t really notice it at first, continuing to dance until the ok sign is in front of his eye. the boy looks around at his group, but only moving his eyes, too afraid to mess something up. his movements are a bit smaller in case they decide to stop, but it’s soon noticeable that isn’t the plan. he’s glad it didn’t stop on his lines, though.
and he automatically regrets saying that. the silence in the room gives away that someone isn’t singing their lines, and minseok’s heart aches at the sight of sunwoo. it wasn’t his fault. no one was meant to be prepared for that situation — especially not a group solely formed for one performance only.
it only serves to leave a cloud hanging above his head. it doesn’t slow him down or worsen his skills, but it’s most certainly an annoying ghost about the possibility of messing things up. the one thing that gave him comfort was the background track and they had taken it from him.
no matter how long the song, minseok’s biggest worry is toward the verse right after the chorus. more specifically, a single ad-lib in the form of ‘oh yeah yeah’. he couldn’t take too many risks. he knew that his voice was bare for anyone to see, and the last thing he’d want to attempt was reach a note he knew he couldn’t hit and then make the performance even worse on his group’s shoulder. so he tones it down, basically saying the words instead of singing them. the boy still attempts to put some intonation on it not to make it too out of place. what matters to him the most is getting out of the center position and letting someone else impress with their own skills.
the rest is pretty easy. he knows the dance, and his lines are either the hook or the bit during the bridge. it’s easy to say no one left the room quite like they had entered it and minseok would be needing to do some rethinking down his priority list.

welcome to hღll ;
jinwoo was kind enough to show here where they ate their food. she was there this morning, but being as that this is her first time in the kt building, it’s more than easy to get lost coming from different routes. it also seemed ridiculous to trace her steps back to the lobby then from the lobby go to the cafeteria. so she was thankful for her little guide.
“how long have you been in kt?” she asks as they walk. chungha makes sure to keep note of which rooms they passed and which turns they took. eventually she’d know the layout of this building like the back of her hand but it was always tricky the first few weeks.
she knows her presence was a bit of a surprise considering it was so close following the mgas. hell, she was surprised too. though she knows sometimes, trainees were warned before a new arrival. “do you guys often get surprise recruits like me? or was i out of the blue for you?”

❝ — life goals ,
@rkjinjin
if there’s one thing seola can say about her days it’s training, it’s that it’s never boring. despite the schedule being the same every day, she always learns something new, and even if she can’t see it yet, she knows that she’s improving every day.
one of the more interesting parts of the day, she finds, is when they’re expected to observe the already debuted idols of the company, as if she hadn’t been doing that already. while kt hadn’t always been her most favored company among the biggest five in the industry at the moment, she’d always admired the acts they put out because they always seemed so polished and perfect. she aspires to be someone like that, to be the idol that someone else might aspire to be, and so she thinks it’s very important to watch and observe those who have been in the industry and learn from them.
plus, it never really feels like work when she does.
“ah, isn’t lc9 so cool,” she whispers to her fellow trainee next to her, eyes glued to the screen upon which a recent performance is playing. “one day i want to be legends, just like them.”

—  hey, blue hair
@rkjinjin
With his shoulder pressed against the wall, Yuta tipped the bottle once more, letting the alcohol pour into the soda that he was drinking. His head tilted as he leaned in to take as sip of it, nose crinkling at the strong flavour and then peering over his shoulder to see someone looking over in his direction. It must have been the hair--bright, stark blue--that caught his attention. Immediately reaching out as he passed by. “Hey Blue Hair, help me for a second?” It’s barely a request, already tugging the other male a few steps further alone and towards a more crowded area where he could hide with the trainees. His heart pounding in his ears, a heat in his cheeks from the rush or from the alcohol, he didn’t know. Only stopping a few steps when he saw the staff member look back at what they’re doing and he sighs out.
He studies the blue haired male, realising he just momentarily kidnapped him and now he stood with his body shielding him from view. His tongue poking at the edge of his mouth as he peered around once more. The drink mixed with alcohol in one hand, his bottle with the straight alcohol handing from his fingertips and he needed to make the other help him; an accomplice. “Can you hold this for me?” Yuta asks, holding out the drink in his hand towards the other. There’s a moment when he meets his gaze, lingering to see if he could recognise him. He definitely wasn’t a TRC trainee, they were like unicorns; rare, maybe nonexistent. Royal? KT? Nova, maybe? “My name’s Yuta. I like your hair,” he introduces, smiling and nudging the drink towards his hand. Compliments worked in his favour, usually.

“Jin Jin, you and me, let’s team up!” she said excitedly as caught up to KT trainee in the seocho building, she needed someone to help her out little on dance area for the evaluation and remembers the noodle boy would be an ideal person for this. Minhee wanted to current summer song which pushed her little more and that was the plan to show she can do anything she put her mind to. The female suggested for him to follow into the dance studio so they can work on it right away, “did you enjoy the bbq? I didn’t see you then again there was a lot of trainees here.”
Minhee began to stretch already warming up as she didn’t want to mess up and cut to the chase, “I’m thinkin’ about something sexy~” she stated as remember those two meant to cover troublemaker now for the youtube channel but evaluations come first. The female do a funny sexy pose when she said sexily to emphasize on it playfully, “Of course using hip-hop summer bop song, I would need you to help me little on dancing too. This isn’t my usual style so-”

//in the shades of gray
gray wasn't in the best mood to attend such a social event, nonetheless he tried his best to interact with as much trainees as possible. in normal circumstances he wouldn't have had much troubles to do so, despite being on the quieter side, but this time around it drained him immensely which ended in being more tired than normally. so the conclusion to recover himself from that, was taking a power nap underneath the trees. the male sat down at the shady place and leaned against a tree tunk, just before closing his eyes and giving off a heavy sigh. he felt a little sorry for not being able to attend the specially prepared party to the fullest, laugh with the others, eating happily, enjoy the summer sun or sing his soul out at the karaoke. but he couldn't help, even he had to deal with a stormy heart from time to time.
the tenseness slowly retreated from his limbs, relaxation got over his whole body and the rapper let go of another sigh, while his head slowly slipped to the side. just a few minutes, until he felt a little better, got the sad memories of a heartbreak out of his head, at least for the rest of the party, just a few more minutes underneath the gentle breeze. he felt someone moving up to him, probably another trainee who wanted to take a short break from everything for a few moments. would it look bad, if he was sitting here alone, eyes closed, and dozing off? what if the trainers or even the ceos saw him? he blinked and glanced at the groups of people, just to close his eyes once again. it didn't really mattered, didn't it? he was just another trainee who could be easily swapped out, replaced by a much younger and more talented one, someone who could grab the citizens attention the moment he walked in, someone who would be loved with all their might.
the dark eyes opened again and he leaned forward to ruffle through his hair. with the break up, doubts had slowly flooded his mind and he wasn't sure how to handle them anymore.

February Evaluation:
Song: Because of You - After School as performed by NU’EST  With: @aronrk, @rkjohnny, @rkjinjin || Line Distribution
From the very beginning, Kris was pushed into traditional roles that he had to do. He was always pushed towards being a perfect chaebol. When he started acting and modelling, however, he was faced with a completely different world. He was faced with various variations on roles. He was surprised, but he embraced aspects of femininity for himself.
This evaluation, however, was something that Kris was very hesitant on. He was scared of the songs that they had to do. The rapper didn’t listen to girl groups. He was more of the hip hop and american pop music. He had no idea what song that he would do. Luckily, he teamed up with fellow trainees Aron, Jinwoo and Johnny. He liked the guys and it was fun working with them. It was the first time that he worked with Aron since the time that he’s been here, so it was incredibly fun for him.
Jinwoo and Johnny were the new kids, but Kris wanted them to feel welcome even more. So of course, on the first day of their first practice together, he brought ice cream for everyone. That was when the lines were decided and Kris felt happy that he got the rapping parts along with Jinwoo. He offered a comforting smile to the other. He spent a while practicing with the guys and by himself as well.
When the day for the performances, he a bite nervous but he was eager to see where they would go with this performance. When it came their turn, he was pretty happy to perform with his friends. He opened the song with narration and then Aron and Johnny skillfully took it away.
He could sense the hesitation in Johnny’s voice and Jinwoo’s voices as well. He hoped that him and Aron could push the two of them to be the best that they could be. He was so into his thoughts, that he almost missed his part but he didn't.
He rapped in that deep voice with that charisma that he always had. He had another part after Jinwoo’s as well, and he did that part well as well. He wasn’t nervous and he hoped that his confidence projected a lot. He finished off the song after Jinwoo with a casual pose and he grinned. “Good job guys. We did great!” he exclaimed. “Now, who’s up for bbq? My treat!” he exclaimed .

flyer, flyer, flyer!
One final sheet of paper was now left in his grasp, finally, Jinwoo could only add in his silent mind, for although he could acknowledge the job’s importance it was also kind of boring. In a sense though that realisation also satisfied him though, because if something like this threw him off then how on earth would he ever have handled a desk job should he have listened to his parents and settled for a stable income in a stable job?
The last person he managed to catch the attention of, he automatically instantly approved of. Any male who didn’t tower above him (or was even just those few annoying centimetres taller than him) was someone Jinwoo could approve of. “Excuse me. Would you maybe be interested in this? It’s a flyer from KT with dates for some upcoming events. If you could be interested then please consider joining some of them or even auditioning!“ Then I won’t be the only short one.
           his head is downcast, staring down at the screen of his phone with dull eyes. his finger swipes across notifications, takes note of a message from his grandmother. something about meeting up for dinner that yoongi is sure to forget about. he’ll deal with the aftermath of that later. his free hand lifts from the safety of his pocket, swiping at the tip of his nose before he shoves it back in to the warm depths. he’s so focused on the screen of his phone that when someone approaches him, yoongi jolts and jumps with a curse.
        “the fuck?” he grumbles, hand holding the phone to his chest as his eyes flicker down at the flyers. he squints at the name of the entertainment company, and frowns at the remembrance of not getting another callback from royal. it doesn’t sting, because yoongi knows he isn’t good enough for the idol world-- not with his anxiety and not with his lack of knowledge in anything he wants to do. jerkily, he plucks the flyer from the other’s hand, staring down at the paper with dull eyes before he flickers his stare up “ain’t this the company with all the...long legged girls?”

@rkjinjin
It was quite peculiar. Half a year ago when he had first moved here, no, even before when he had first played around with the idea of becoming an idol, he had been determined to join Nova. It had been a child’s game at first, and perhaps that sentiment had stuck around, remained within him and settled to make him perceive that as his final goal, when in fact it didn’t really matter where he went. Here he stood attempting to hand out flyers for KT instead of the company he thought was his dream one, and quite honestly it didn’t bother him in the least.
“I’m sorry?” he called around for a bit until someone finally appeared to react, and he stepped before a male well taller than he was. “I’ve got a flyer here with some information about important dates and new events for KT Entertainment in the upcoming time. If you think you might be interested, please take one and consider joining the events!”
KT isn’t his dream company but it still feels like a kick in the teeth. When he had been stopped before after what he assumes was a mass signing of trainees, he’d been reasonably enthusiastic about collecting all the companies’ flyers. He had gotten three of the five big companies and now he’s getting a fourth but the excitement is gone completely. Now he looks at it and thinks back to the call he’d gotten, and maybe he’s ungrateful but he doesn’t feel even a hint of remorse for turning them down. ( Perhaps he could’ve done a better job of not sounding so sad when he heard the company name, and he’s surprised he didn’t with the amount he lies, but it’s harder than he realises to hide the pain when it’s his future at stake. )
“Thanks,” he eventually answers, hesitantly reaching out to take it. He’ll add it to his pile for memories sake, but he doubts he’ll look at it for fear of what will follow. “I’ll check it out.” He always manages to get back to lying somehow.

rkjinjin:
Some people were completely, simply and obviously above you. That was just how the world worked. Although everyone were currently a sunbae to him, there was a world in difference between each trainee at the company, and standing before one he knew to be amongst the top was quite intimidating to say the least. At first the name Tiffany had simply been a name on a card, a sweet gesture and what had motivated him to do this in the first place, but having to face the actual person was a whole different matter. He liked to think that her actual person was reflected in the card and the orchestrating of the whole ordeal. He hoped at least.
“Uhm… Excuse me, sunbaenim,” he began awkwardly, bowing to her and then quickly taking out one of the small packs of three kimchi mandu he had prepared the night before from his bag. “I’m Park Jinwoo, one of the new trainees. I wanted to thank you for the stocking… even though I can’t fill up the second one, I wanted to at least do something for everyone here, so I made these. I hope you’ll like them. Happy new year…!“
while tiffany doesn’t dare to claim she knows every single trainee within kt ( the company as a whole is just too big ), she does like to think she recognizes most faces and she is fairly certain the one standing before her is one of the new trainees  —  one that came in at the same time as her cousin. his name starts with a j … right? johnny is another one of the newer trainees that came in a while ago so that can’t be it … not to mention jimin. kt must love males with names starting with j. she swears there’s another. oh right, there’s josh too and she swears there might actually be a pattern.
jinwoo, that’s it. bowing her head, she tries to listen to what he says first but there’s a part of her itching to tell him he doesn’t have to be so formal with her, especially when he’s considerate enough to prepare something for everyone. becoming a trainee is stressful and exhausting as it is, so she’s already impressed without him having to explain anything. she’s about to ask what he means by second one but then it dawns on her and it’s a little embarrassing that she has to think about it when it’d been her project. “you don’t have to fill up the second one! i just want everyone to figure out what giving love is for themselves and it seems like you’ve found it. i’m really happy you did. thank you,” she tells him sincerely, accepting the pack of mandu as she bows her head again. “oh! yes, happy new year! i hope you’ll take some time to rest so you can start the year healthy and well, okay?”

charisma starter #3 for @rkjinjin !
“oh, shit, you like pokemon too?”
okay, jeongguk. get it together. a lot of people like pokemon, as it’s a very, very popular game. he’s seen people buy any version nearly everytime he comes to the store in pursuit of some new popular game. overwatch was his latest obsession, every other game he’s loved put to the side to play this overly frustrating game. it’s an addiction.
but still, pokemon was a personal favorite, and something that meant a lot to him. he was never allowed to play video games as a kid, an instrument put under his fingertips instead. his parents had always told him if he wants to play something, it’s going to be an instrument. but that’s a story for another time. being at school was an escape from his piano seat, where his friends would show him the world of pokemon. he always loved playing, even if he never owned it himself. even watching ( which was what he did most of the time ), was enough for jeongguk.
so, pokemon is a little special to him.
“that’s really cool, man. we should play together sometime. ‘m jeongguk.”
