* the whoa & oohhs
@rkpjihyo
When the girls got their lines for the song they would be performing she realize it was herself and jihyo would be in charge of the whoas & oohhs throughout the song. Thankfully, there were no real fancy melisma notes since it is very toned down yet she certainly being using her head voice for the higher notes and it is very evenly distributed between the four girls. Minhee decided to pull Jihyo aside while holding the sheet of paper with the lines on it nudging her playfully her younger girl with a smile, “Looks like we will be opening the song together! It really got nice r&b sound to it, sort of very sexy sound right? It’s different from songs we’ve done before nothing like a pink songs expect their newer stuff I guess.” She genuinely loves this song especially with the whole message about being yourself not caring what others think. Maybe she really starts not to care what other people think about herself and not always be so cautious.

@rkpjihyo
Jongsuk had been so shocked that he  had been chosen for the spop channel but he was sure that he was not going to be good enough but it seemed that his charisma was enough to charm them and he was pretty excited. When he had mentioned it to his roommate in passing, she mentioned that her fellow trainee was his cohost and he had been eager to meet her in person. jongsuk had heard a lot of quite nice things about her and when he had shown up to their recording session, he waved at his fellow cohost with an excited grin.
“hey! you must be jihyo! taeyeonnie mentioned that you were going to be my cohost in brief passing and it’s an aboslute delight to meet you in person!” he exclaimed, extending a hand to her briefly shaking her hand. “i hope that we can film well and do a good job!” he exclaimed, with a happy and excited grin. he lived for the camera so he would treasure this opportunity given to him by the trc gods as a great investment in him and his charisma. he reached into his jacket and pulled out a chocolate bar. “an offering of my friendship. let’s be good friends and do this recording,” he added.

Spooked
@rkpjihyo
Time was just flying by and Seulgi was left behind in it, just as she was feeling with everything else.  It wasn’t until she was bored, looking at the calendar that was posted on the wall of one of the studios that she realized just how far into the month they actually were.  She went into a slight panic realizing that there wasn’t much time to make plans for the rest of the month.
Sighing and running a hand through her hair, she noticed one of the other girls, Jihyo, wandering about nearby as well.  “Have you...” she knows not everyone did stuff for Halloween, but it seemed more and more people did every year.  “Are you doing anything for Halloween?  Like... do you know if you’re going to wear a costume or anything?”

Private Audition for SPHERE ENTERTAINMENT Date: 14th November 2019 Location: Sphere Entertainment building, Itaewon, Seoul Song: ‘Real Fact’ by Jang Moonbok, ft. Seong Hyunwoo and Yoon Heeseok (00:23-00:41, 00:44-01:08, 01:16-02:02) [Timing arranged to fit within time limit] Outfit: x Gif credit: Donghans
It feels like fate to have his audition on the 14th of November. While Chaewon is sitting her CSAT, here’s Moonbok, sitting outside the audition room at Sphere Entertainment. If he wasn’t so nervous, Moonbok would have laughed at how it all worked out. And even despite the nerves there’s a thrill of excitement. He’s about to do what he’d promised (threatened) he’d do when he was 12 years old; audition for an entertainment company. Every so often, Moonbok can feel himself starting to grin like an idiot and he has to try to force his expression into something a little more mature and calm looking.
It’s not like this is his first audition, after all.
He’s still somewhat bewildered that he was scouted walking around in a glorified cosplay, doing nothing of note. And yet, nothing came from his efforts at the MGAs or the TRC Triple Threat Challenge except disappointment and humiliation on national television. It’s why (yet again) Moonbok hasn’t told anyone except Yena and Yoona that he was scouted. After all, if he doesn’t tell his family and he succeeds, it’ll be a (hopefully) pleasant surprise for them. If he fails, well, at least only he and the girls will know and he’ll have spared his family the humiliation at being rejected for a fourth time in 12 months.
Rubbing the bridge of his nose, he scans his lyrics yet again. After getting Yena’s approval, he’d decided to go with a song he’d been writing for his audition instead of simply covering another artist. He’d intended on saving it as a collab piece for him and some other members of odd society, but after looking back over it, Moonbok had realized that the song was a good way to show off a side of him that he’d never really displayed musically. And given that he was performing for Baek Jiyoung herself, Moonbok knows he has to leave an impression this time. He didn’t want her to still think he was ‘coasting’ in his journey to become an idol.
Truth be told, that was still one of the most painful things anyone had ever said to him. Had it been from anybody else, even one of the other Big Five CEOs, perhaps he would have gotten over it in time. But because it was Baek Jiyoung, the CEO he admired, it had been like she’d stabbed him in the heart that day.
No. Being stabbed in the heart would have hurt less.
He shakes his head firmly with a soft noise of disapproval. Now was not the time to think about this summer. That was then, in the past. What matters is what’s happening today, now.
His stomach rumbles and Moonbok is glad he’s alone, not that it stops him from making an irritated face. When he’d gotten up that morning, all he’d been able to stomach was a cup of coffee and even then he’d abandoned it halfway through. Figures that his stomach would complain about being empty just before he auditioned. That said, it could also be his nerves too.
Not that he’s nervous for just himself, that is. He can’t help but wonder how Yoona’s audition will turn out. Will his cousin get a contract? He hopes so. Moonbok is still in shock that both of them were scouted (albeit by different companies) at the same time. Another intervention of Fate?
Before he has much time to think about it, the door opposite him swings open and a staff member steps out. Moonbok almost has a minor heart attack, his hands clutching hard at the seat beneath him as the words he’d both been waiting for and fearing rang out in the corridor.
“Jang Moonbok? We’re ready for you now.”
“Coming!”
Hurriedly clambering to his feet, Moonbok brushes himself down, straightening his shirt and sliding the sheet of lyrics back into his sling bag, having no need for them now. (But he still wasn’t going to leave them lying around where anyone could take off with them, it’s still an unreleased song, after all. His unreleased song, come to that.) Taking a steadying breath and saying a quick prayer to himself for luck and strength, he makes his way into the room.
Even though he’s been in front of Tiger JK for the Triple Threat Challenge and the entirety of the Big Five for the MGAs, he still can’t help but feel somewhat intimidated at the panel watching him enter, particularly when Baek Jiyoung herself is seated in the middle of the other assessors. However, nervous as he is, Moonbok gives the panel a sunny smile and bows deeply.
“Hello! My name is Jang Moonbok, thank you so much for inviting me here today!” Straightening up, he looks the CEO in the eye and gives her a grateful nod before continuing to the point of no return.
“Today I’ll be audition with a song I’ve written myself.” He holds back from adding ‘again’ to the end of the statement, not so pig-headed to believe that he made enough of an impact for anyone to remember his performance of ‘Red’ during the summer.
“It’s called ‘Real Fact’ and it’s a lot different to the stuff I’ve written or performed before. I hope you’ll like the new side of me that you’ll see~” He offers the judges another smile, daring to hope that the shadow of a smile on Baek Jiyoung’s face isn’t just a figment of his imagination.
“So, I’ll begin, now!”
With a nod towards the staff member manning the music, Moonbok takes a deep breath in as the music begins before beginning to sing.
I just wanna be with you, baby. Again today, it was you for me. I just wanna be with you baby. If you still doubt me, oo-ooh~ My words are real facts
It’s funny, in a way. It’s as though he’s singing about wanting to be scouted by Sphere itself. Moonbok doesn’t blame Baek Jiyoung for perhaps still having doubts about him. But he wants to prove his sincerity to her and the other judges. That his wish to be an idol is a real fact, and not just a childish whim.
My words are real facts Fact, fact, fact My words are real facts
As usual, he doesn’t dance. Not that he’s unable to, because he’s certainly improved from even this summer. It’s just that he never envisioned this song as anything more than an odd soc release, and so never thought about choreography. That said, he doesn’t stay still, leisurely pacing back and forth to the music, gesturing with his arms energetically, all with a grin.
God, he really loves this song. And not just because it’s something out of the ordinary for him either.
My feelings for you are real facts Whenever it is, I’m always there for you Even if I’m not good at expressing myself Just understand me, ‘cuz when I’m in front of you My heart beats so hard I need to tape my ears together
How many times has he said words like that to other people? To Yoona, Hyunjin, Daniel, Jihyo and his own sister. The phrase ‘I don’t know how much help someone like me could be, but I’ll always here for you’ a staple of his vocabulary for as long as he could remember. He likes to help others, purely because he wants them to succeed and be happy, like anyone has the right to.
A guy like me can’t go on without you So there’s no games when it comes to you But you already know how I feel As if you already received the letter I’m gonna give you
At this stage, no one should be shocked that he chose to rap. It’s what he’s known for, after all. And it’s what Moonbok does best at. Still, this cheery flow is different to the raps he’s performed before; instead of the melancholy of ‘Reflection’ or the confusion of ‘Red’ and ‘Boy in Luv’, this is a rap filled with optimism.
My heart is for real I wish you would believe me I’ll honestly show you my everything My heart is a real fact You can try to test with me.
He hopes he’s showing how sincere he is about all this. He knows this is not just a test of his skills, but of his perseverance too. After all, how many friends of his that he’d made over the last year or so already give up on their wishes to be an idol? Moonbok is here to show that no matter how many times he fails, he’ll still return to this dream and one day, he will achieve it.
I just wanna be with you baby, I’m rowing in your forest I just wanna be with you baby Again today, it was you for me. I just wanna be with you baby. If you still doubt me It’s only you in me, my only light I’ll only look at you even deeper
The chorus this time is shaken up with another rap, Moonbok proud of how he’s able to transition from singing to rapping without his breath hitching or his voice cracking. This time last year, he’d needed a sizable gap between vocal and rap parts to give himself time to transition. He’s come a long way from that first time he showcased his singing publicly during MGA season 4.
My words are real facts My words are real facts Fact, fact, fact My words are real facts.
The music fades as he reaches the end of the song and Moonbok smiles once more. After a second’s pause, he bows to the panel once again, speaking once he straightens up, his words and smile sincere.
“Thank you so much for listening to me. It was an honour to perform in front of you.”
And it was. A company audition is so very different to one done on TV. It feels more… real, in a way. With one last smile at Baek Jiyoung, Moonbok takes his cue to leave, shutting the door behind him as he re-enters the hallway where he had been waiting.
With a shaky sigh, Moonbok leans against the wall, taking deep breaths to calm himself. He was glad he’d been able to hide his nerves while performing, because if the judges were to see him now, shaking like a leaf, Moonbok would have died from mortification. Giving himself a moment or two to settle down, he exhales deeply and pulls away from the wall, heading towards the exit.
He’d done his best, done all he could do, much like Chaewon was sure to have done in her exams. Now for the both of them, the rest was up to the powers that be.

●// exchangeable gifts
@rkpjihyo
jihoon had yet again walked in on her about to leave the dance studio, but this time, he knew her, and he had a very serious question directed to her that he needed and answer.
“so, did she pass out when you gave her the phonecase?“ he asks, grin wide on his lips as he reaches to fix his cap. he was really curious, because from what jihyo had told him, her friend was really a die hard fan, which still makes jihoon chuckle at times. so it only became natural for him to want to know if at least one fan is alive and well after receiving a rather customized gift.
“i hope she;s okay and didn’t hurt her self.“ the idol adds quickly, closing the door behind him, stepping to its side, leaning against the wall as he waits for jihyo to answer him.

*From TV
starter for @rkpjihyo
Feeling like she had neglected her You Tube Channel for too long, Tzuyu resolved to make another video soon. In preparation for it, she needed to get some clothing. She’d been working a lot and even managed to figure out bank accounts and credit. Quite proud with her achievement, she steps into the mall. While she was working a lot and trying to focus on her dance classes, vocal coach, and other lessons, she decided she would not do a cover this time. It would be a haul and that meant she needed to buy clothing. In her same usual style, Tzuyu was wearing a nice off the shoulder light pink shirt and a white maxi skirt that was tighter than her usual style, but it also had a bigger slit than her usual style. Even she had double guessed her outfit that day. It was quite comfortable, though. So, she wore it out.
She wasn’t used to the looks she was getting. Though she wasn’t the one to get self-conscious, she was uncomfortable enough to step into a store and start shopping around. It didn’t take long for her to find a couple of items that she liked. Tzuyu quickly starts putting items that she likes into a tote she got from one of the employees. It might make it difficult since she planned on buying more. She wasn’t too worried about it at that moment.
While browsing through clothing, she notices someone out of the corner of her eye that makes her double take. There’s an employee that looked like someone she knew… maybe? She wasn’t too sure. Ever so curious, Tzuyu steps closer towards the employee and gets a good look at her face. She surprised to find herself with someone she liked since her time on the MGAs. She knows she’s a trainee and wasn’t expecting her to be working at a store at the mall. Without second thought, she approaches the other. “Excuse me” she says “Hi, I don’t mean to bother you but…I was a fan of yours during MGAs. It’s so amazing to see you.”

new sphere tradition incoming? since sphere’s company name is sphere gallery, we thought it might be fitting to pay homage to that. in addition to trainee titles (or instead of, if you’d like) we thought it would be fun for everyone to pick a color to represent their muse! let me know your hex code. pantone’s color finder may help you with this, or even photoshop or google. since there are so many colors, it’s okay if two muses have similar colors so long as the code isn’t the exact same! if you aren’t sure what color to pick, here’s a fun color quiz that may give you a place to start. this is in no way mandatory, so no pressure to do this if you don’t want to.

OOC; FC CHANGE + PLOT CALL!
this is a small note, i’ve switched face claims from park jihyo of twice to han eunji / mia of everglow!  i love jihyo ( still my second ult bias ) but i also feel like mia as a fc fits more as a different fc from when she used to be soojin! some things have changed will be listed below as well as some plot ideas that i’ve been wanting overall but never really looked for so this is a push!
kaeun is still her sister meaning, she does introduce herself with as lee eunji unless it’s something official
her age has changed, her bday is still jan 1st but it’s now jan 1st 2000 ( only the year changed ) which brings her down to 20 but that shouldn’t change much!
this also means she was 18 or so around mga ( i think it’s been two years since her season of mga’s? )
her url will has been changed from rkpjihyo to rkheunji
her sns and other social media accounts has also changed to some form of euna lee, the artist name she used before she became a trainee
i think that’s about it! other things on her page don’t need much of a change, her profile hasn’t been posted yet that will be edited and posted too
Tumblr media
her best friend, someone who has been there through it all and knows her biggest secret. her everything - age’s 19-22!
her ex, someone she dated for a while, she seemed into them and maybe thought it was love. she was, until someone came along that had what she liked the most: money - around 17-19, they dated in their teens!
fellow youtubers, vloggers or bj’s!
fans of her streams / someone who became a fan during the mga’s
singers & dancers for her to collab with
someone that someone manages to ruin the food she’s eating and you’ve never see anyone go crazy like that
fellow party muses or muses that like / liked to club! she can’t do it as much now but they could’ve met that way
muses who think she shouldn’t have been signed or even made it far!

S-POP Trainee MC Results!
After recording their auditions on January 26th, it takes two weeks for them to hear anything back. If they asked for information from their coaches they’d say that they don’t have any information on the subject. And it is the truth. The plans continue in secrecy while preparations proceed and any holes that appear need to be filled.
It is only on February 9th that a few specific trainees are taken out of practice and taking to a meeting room the receive some good news. The trainees below will be the first MCs for the shows aired on the S-POP channel:
SUNDAY: IDOL CAFÉ **HOSTS: Lee Jongsuk (TRC) and Park Jihyo (SPHERE) @rkxjongsuk ; @rkpjihyo
SATURDAY: LIVE STATION **HOST: Aron (KT) @aronrk
WEDNESDAY: IQS **HOSTS: Park Chanyeol (TRC) & Yoo Shiah (ROYAL) and Joo Minhee (SPHERE) @rkpcy ; @rkyooa ; @rkxminhee
**TUESDAY: DANCE HOW TO! **HOSTS: Lalisa Manoban (ROYAL) and Addae (KT) @rklisa ; @rkxkjd
**MONDAY: AFTER MOM IN ASLEEP **THE MOM: Lee Seonghwa (KT) @rkgray
When they each arrive at the meeting room, they’ll be met with a contract to sign. They’re quickly briefed on the idea behind the S-POP channel and the show they are going to host. Written in the contract is also an agreement that they will not share any information that they may know before it is shared with the public.
As stated before, these will be the first MCs for the show. Since a trainee’s position in the company is never certain, they may either leave the company or end up in a group to debut. The contract they sign will last for a total of 6 months unless it is broken or under special circumstances. It may be re-signed in case conditions continue to be met, and they pass a second audition against all the trainees once again.
Recording for the shows will happen two weeks before they’re meant to air. Since there’ll be a new episode to air each week, there’ll be a new episode to record each week as well. The MCs will be excused from practice during recording dates and won’t need to compensate for the missing practice on later dates.
They’re sent back to their regular practice and told to keep what they know to themselves (the existence of S-POP in itself is a secret still) and wait for future information for recording. They're instructed to keep their behavior in check because MC positions can still be given to others instead should anyone step out of line before the first episode airs.

MGA Season 5 - Episode 1 Callback Audition - Singing and Rapping Performing: RED - JMVOK ft. Yoon Heeseok and So Jihyuk (00:00 - 01:36 and 03:08 to 03:17) Outfit: x Hair and hat reference: x Mentioned: @ericxrk, @rkyoona, @yuzurk, @rkxbin, @rkharuto, @rkpjihyo, @rkars
‘You have made it through to the callback auditions for this season.’
Even though he’d had confidence in his initial audition, having known that he’d improved a lot in the last year, there was still that niggling sense of doubt in the back of his mind. The thought of ‘I’m still not good enough for this’ that would plague him for the next two weeks when Moonbok was unable to get to sleep. So when the confirmation email arrives, he feels a little bit of the tension within him ease.
On the morning of the callback, he stares at himself critically in the mirror, clothes strewn around the room as though he’d ransacked his closet trying to find something to suit the occasion. (Which, to be fair, he did.) When he’d been at home for the weekend, trimming his hair and letting Chaewon color it so it looked like ‘mermaid hair’ (her words, not his) had seemed like a good idea at the time. And don’t get him wrong, he still loves how it came out, the greens and purples blending in wonderfully with his own dark hair. But Hyun Bin’s words about his looks last year make Moonbok uneasy. He doesn’t want to be giving off the impression that he was using his hair and good looks to progress through the competition again this year. He truly wanted to be remembered for his performances and the effort he’d put into them, not just for his mistakes and for being ‘that long-haired rapper.’ With a groan, he simply turned his back on the mirror and dressed himself in the outfit he’d found the best sutible; not overtly casual like what he’d worn for the preliminaries, but not so formal as to stand out even more. Plopping his favourite hat onto his head, he made a face at his reflection.
“Let’s try not to screw things up today, alright?”
                                                           --------------------
Arriving at the venue, Moonbok’s eyes widen at the amount of people who made it to this round. He was sure there had only been about half as many people this time last year. Eyes roving amongst the crowd, he quickly finds Changbin and engages him in conversation, both of them laughing at how all of odd soc managed to make it to the callback. Before long, he’s caught by Yoona, his cousin almost beside herself from nerves. Though he can’t help but grin and tease her a little.
“I guess you didn’t do as badly in the interview as you thought you did, noona~”
While they all loiter around waiting for the go-ahead to enter the set, Moonbok tryies to get Yoona to calm down a little before he spies a younger girl who’s winding her hair around her hands and generally also looking very panicky. Managing to extricate himself from Yoona’s hold for a moments, he goes over to the other girl, understanding her feelings completely. He does his best to provide some comfort; once she introduces herself, he remembers Sihyeon as someone who’d been an active twitter commentator during the last season and joking tells her that there’s no way she can do any worse than he did.
Eventually, they’re allowed onto the set to take their seats and Moonbok can’t help but laugh as he sees the layout, 50 chairs on tiers on each side of the stage, and the judge’s table in front of them all.
“Have we wandered on to the set of Produce 101 or something?” he jokes, unable to stop himself from noticing the similarities to the other popular survival program. Taking their seats, Moonbok does his best to hide a wince as Yoona’s hand clamps down on his almost painfully. At least he’s distracted from his own nerves, but he’s afraid that if his cousin grips him any tighter, she’ll actually break his hand.
“Noonaaaa..... I still need to be able to use my hand after this, come on! It’ll be alright, if I could survive this round this last, than you can--”
Anything else Moonbok plans to say is cut off by the sound of a collective gasp causes Moonbok to tear his eyes away from his cousin and to the stage where, unsurprisingly to him at least, the five CEOs were making their way to the table. And while he was unsurprised, Moonbok could exactly say he was at ease either, swallowing hard. Even after being in this position last year and having performed in front of Tiger JK at the Triple Threat Challenge a few weeks ago, he can’t help be slightly intimidated by their presence. Luckily his attention is diverted by Yena, whose eye he manages to catch and he waves in response to her thumbs up, returning her mouthed ‘good luck!’
The first few performances are entertaining, and Moonbok can’t help but be amazed at Eric’s performance, and not just because of the younger boy’s attire. (How had he been let out of the house like that?!) He could never remember the boy having performed to a song by a boy group, knowing how much the younger was obsessed with girl groups. He’s impressed by his showing though, and is proud of the younger for trying the rap, even though he knows it’s far from being his specialty and applauds loudly when Eric returns to his seat.
He cheers loudly when Yoona delivers her performance, but yelps in shock as she trips on the way back to her seat. Luckily, she doesn’t seem hurt, but that doesn’t stop Moonbok from chiding her gently.
“Noona, be careful, please. Uncle would end me if you hurt yourself.”
She isn’t the only one to fall either. When Haruto crashes off the stage, Moonbok leaps out of his seat with an panicked “oh crap, is he ok?!” feeling like he was one of the few that wasn’t laughing at the other’s misfortune. He’s about to dash down to the stage and check for himself if the boy is injured or not when Haruto manages to get back to his feet and make his way back to his seat. Still, Moonbok’s worried expression doesn’t fade and he has to be tugged back into his seat by Yoona.
“Jang Moonbok!”
After what seems like both forever and in no time at all, Moonbok’s stomach lurches and his heart skips a beat as his name is called out by Hyun Bin. Of all people to call him to perform, it had to Hyun Bin, the man who’d eliminated him last year. Swallowing hard, he squeezes Yoona’s hand one last time before making his way to the stage, schooling his expression into what he hopes is calm and collected, even as his heart hammers in his chest.
Reaching the stage, he quickly pulls his hat off in order to bow to the judges and his fellow contestants, smiling despite his nerves as it finally kicks in that he’ll be performing for an audience once again, that he’ll soon feel that rush kick in again.
“Hello, I’m Jang Moonbok! I participated last year, but I was eliminated very early on...” He trails off, forcing himself to stare straight ahead at the camera before collecting his with again.
“I hope I’ll leave a better impression on everyone this year, though! I’ll be performing a song I wrote myself. It’s called Red and I hope you’ll like it.”
His brief piece said, he takes a step back as the music he provided begins. He closes his eyes for a moment, counting down the seconds in his head for his cue to start before throwing himself straight into his performance. No more hanging back, not now.
When I see this pitch black night As I look at the breath and words I long for I can’t just stay still today I wish I can do what I want just for today
One year later and sometime he feels like he hasn’t made much progress on his path in becoming an idol. Failed to be scouted during Halloween, never receiving a callback after TTC, sometimes he wonders if this is a sign that maybe he should just give up. But the thought galls him; he’s sacrificed too much to quit. Besides, he still has odd society to support him, his friends in various companies waiting for him. Here, once again today, he can try to make his dreams come true.
I don’t know you know me?
There is a dance to go with this song, it had been choreographed for him, Jihyuk and Heeseok. But without the other two there, Moonbok doesn’t feel confident enough to attempt it. Instead, he strides across the stage with the mic in hand, truly unable to stay still, but always making sure he can be heard.
I’m placing you in me If the world is prettier than you, that’s incomprehensible In just a few days, the mystery keeps growing Biting between day and night The sign of love is getting tainted
He can’t help but let his thoughts drift to Jihyo and he almost wishes he’d told her that he’d made it to the callback, or had even entered the competition at all. Involuntarily, a smile creeps onto his face as he raps. What they have is still something of a mystery, but at this stage, he's in no hurry to try and change anything. But at the same time he doesn’t want whatever they have to be tainted by anything, not even pity. Which is why he has to get through this round.
Fill me up with your color Without any spaces, hold me tight Just tell me, whatever you want Pour it out, don’t let anything remain Girl you got that
The rap turns more melodic now, somewhere between his own style and actual singing. Moving across the stage with the beat of the music, his previous nerves are forgotten for now. Instead, he thinks back to when he’d called to Jihyo’s house a few weeks ago. He’d been earlier than planned and had got a glimpse of the girl bare-faced. Though she’d quickly banished him to the kitchen to wait while she made herself up, Moonbok hadn’t missed the small smile she’d given him when he’d sincerely complimented how she looked. It was nice to see a softer side of Jihyo and Moonbok hoped she’d let him see more of it.
Returning to center stage after his striding in time with the beat, he replaces the microphone in its stand and Moonbok lets his gaze scan the judges’ face. Their expressions are unreadable, but he hopes that he’s making a good impression. Quickly taking a second to tuck a stray lock of hair behind his ear and without missing a beat, he continues on, this time staying put.
You’re so bright, yeah It’s burning red Tell me what you want yeah Tell me what you need girl Even if it’s in a cave I’ll go inside
He’ll do whatever it takes, not just to achieve his dream, but to make everyone around him happy. To make Youngjae laugh in a way that isn’t sarcastic for once, to give Yoona a reason to be proud of him when her father bitched about him at every turn and to show his parents that they didn’t have worry about his future anymore. That no matter what was coming, he had a plan.
You are like red Like red Right now I want to get closer to you Yeah We are like red Like red So bright, I’m amazed Whenever I see you
He’s glad they’d had an intensive week of singing classes in SNU the other month, it makes singing these high parts much easier. While he wouldn’t say he's good as Heeseok or Jihyuk, his voice isn’t cracking and stays stable. He hopes that when (if) this is aired, they’ll enjoy how this sounds with just one performer.
Or else they’ll roast him alive. One or the other.
You make me sing it La la la la la Yeah La la la la la you win it La la la la la la la la You make me sing it
This was only supposed to be a filler part while Moonbok had tried to think of better lyrics, but Heeseok had liked it so much that he’d insisted on keeping it, going so far as to force Moonbok and Jihyuk to record it with him. The lyrics were dumb and made Moonbok cringe internally, but the memories of the three of them make him grin again and he sings with gusto, thoroughly enjoying himself.
Having fun was half the battle, was it not?
Being blind with love Makes me crash into a wall of emotions Then that makes me realize How I hate you cuz I can’t live without you Like a mirror, you’re looking at me too It’s fire but just a small candle that’ll extinguish easily Your heart goes from a bright torch to a cold street light You get angry and twist your words I get burned by you and scarred It was all just playing with fire
When he’d written this part in particular, he’d thought he’d been rapping about Kyungri or Jihyo and all the things that could go wrong, his pessimistic nature rearing its head yet. But as he returns to rapping, his hands moving to the flow of his voice without an conscious input, he can’t help but wonder it’s about himself.
All those parts of himself he couldn’t stand, the cocky Moonbok who’d played with fire the year before and got so badly burned it had almost been the end of his dream. The pessimistic Moonbok who always assumed that he was worth nothing and didn’t deserve the praises he got. He was actually scared of how he could twist his own words to make them into a rod to break his own back. His emotions begin to take over again, but it just turns his rapping fierce and his expression even more determined.
There were parts of himself that he hates and wishes he could erase, but they’re what makes him Jang Moonbok. And no matter how difficult it might be, he has to accept those parts if he wants to succeed. Not just in the MGAs, but in the competition called life too.
When I see this pitch black night As I look at the breath and words I long for I can’t just stay still today I wish I can do what I want just for today
He finishes with a repetition of the first verse, but with a slight softer and more hopeful tone, slowly coming back into himself. It wasn’t as long as he’d hoped, but quality counted as much as quantity did, after all. As the music fades, he smiles and bows once more, hand on his hat to keep it from falling to the ground. Straightening up again, he addresses the judges a final time.
“Thank you for listening to me, it was an honour to perform this song in front of you all!”
Smiling once more, he makes his way back to his seat, but nearly jumps out of his skin in fright as a sudden ‘YAAAAAS!' rings through the set. Laughter rings around the hall and after a second, Moonbok joins in as he realizes it was Eric that had called out to him. At least he had the approval of someone. Waving to the younger boy, he ducks back into his seat, face red and grinning.
He’d done the best he could. Now all he can do is wait and hope for the best in return.

* Ghost Of Jihyo
@rkpjihyo
This evaluation was tough on everyone yet it seems her little sister Jihyo struggled the most as she caught herself a cold and end up truly drained due to her lack of stamina. Minhee went to visit the fellow trainee bringing some fruits which help boosts the immune system like some nice freshly sliced oranges inside a box so she can eat whenever she felt like it without peeling the fruit all she had to do would suck the fruit juice. The female knocked at the door a few times before entering bearing gifts in her hand with a kind smile trying to hide the worry. "How you holding up Jihyo?? Are you doing OK??? I bought some fruity snacks for you to help you on the road of the recover."

S POP Idol Cafe Recording - Episode 1
      w/ Jihyo ( @rkpjihyo )
he liked jihyo.  he was glad that she was his co-host.
she seemed nice and even when they met, taeyeon's statements about her being the chill type were correct. jihyo looked like she was a good compliment to his over the top personality. she could probably hold him back and he'd encourage risks. he wanted her to feel comfortable, so of course he greeted her in his typical trc fashion: by offering a bar of chocolate as a token of friendship. he loved the cameras so he hoped that he could be as over the top as he could for both of them without overshadowing her.
he had been listening when they were being told what they would do and a run down of the show. as everyone was talking, he'd pipe up to ask a question clarifying a detail and kept notes on his phone with the information given. jongsuk had a sneaking suspicion that this wouldn't be like any show he'd seen before on youtube or even stuff he'd done himself.
according to the schedule, they would meet the girls of luxe soon and luckily jongsuk knew some of them and actually was a fan. it would be fun to chat casually.
they were then whisked off to hair and makeup separately and jongsuk's hair was styled slightly with a slight wave up, but mostly just retouches and very limited makeup, since his own makeup from the day was sufficient. him and jihyo had managed to chat a bit more before.
he was a bit uncomfortable with idols but he was sure that he could play it off in a cute and charismatic way. jongsuk was almost never stressed and this was a golden opportunity given to him and he wouldn't squander it whatsover. but this was a good challenge as well and as all challenges were dealt with, he'd rise up and triumph.
when jihyo joined his side he grinned. "ready? let's rock them."

#rkgreenribbonevent Event: Busking festival Location: Ttukseom Han River park Date: September 22nd 2019 Performing: Divine Intervention by Yang Yeseob
Busking somewhere like the Ttukseom Han River park is world’s away from simply performing in Hongdae.
Don’t ask Moonbok how it’s different, he doesn’t have a coherent explanation for the feeling, he just knows it.
Having cleaned himself off after the run as best he could, he waits his turn to take the stage, plugged into his phone and practicing under his breath. Truth be told, he’s a little nervous about the whole thing. After the disaster that the entire summer, Moonbok hadn’t performed in public since, neither through busking or by uploading covers. Granted, he’d had a lot on his plate when it came to university and his health, and his own music had to come first. But he had to get back to performing ‘live’ again, if not for his own sake, than for the sake of odd society. How could he call himself the leader if he hid in the shadows and only performed once in a blue moon? How else would he repair his reputation?
Even though he’s still practicing, several performances make him look up from his phone and lyrics to watch. Bae Jinyoung’s rendition of Old Town Road has him doubled over in laughter, not because the young boy was bad, not even close. But the choice of song along with a ukulele is just too humorous not to laugh at it. Hilarity aside, Jinyoung does well and Moonbok makes a mental note to keep an eye on him on Youtube.
This is what he loves the most about busking. The variety of performances and the way people entertain both themselves and their audience. When he becomes disillusioned with everything, it is busking that reminded Moonbok of that dream he’s had for so long.
Eventually it’s his turn and Moonbok takes the stage with a grin. The adrenaline is pumping through his veins and it takes all his willpower not to start bouncing on his toes. Despite all the grief that performing live has given him, it still gives him such a high.
“Hello everyone! I’m Jang Moonbok~” he calls into the microphone before him cheerfully. He’s too far away to see the crowd properly, but he can see some people in the first few rows that show recognition of him. He hopes he’ll be making a good impression.
“I’ll be performing Divine Intervention by Yang Yoseob. I hope you’ll enjoy it!”
As the music blares through the speakers, Moonbok bounces in time to the drumbeats, butterflies in his stomach. Even though Hwarang had been immensely popular a few years ago, he’d never actually watched it or listened to its soundtrack. He’d only discovered the song through a cover someone had posted on Youtube but he’d fallen for it completely. The music is catchy and hopeful and the lyrics are beautiful. A love song wrapped up in hope and devotion.
He steps forward.
His voice has matured a lot since the last time he performed live at the start of July. Thanks to intensive vocal lessons and relentless practices in his free time, his pitch and cadence have improved so much. Even to his own ears, Moonbok has a hard time believing it’s his voice.
Maybe in time, he could be a vocalist too. Sure, he still loves rapping, it’s been his passion since he was twelve. But now that he’s improved this much, being a vocalist would be nice.
As the song progresses, he moves around the stage, mic in hand. There’s no dance for this song, so he has to make do. It’s better this way, though, he’s able to see the expressions of people, and judge their feelings towards his performance.
It’s looking positive, at least.
난 너 하나만 있으면 돼 저 별을 쫓아 하늘 위 걸어둔 꿈 닿을 때까지 어둠이 날 감싸도 너만은 절대로 놓치지 않을 거야 You’ll always be mine 워 에 오 오에오 워어어어 워어어어 더 가까이 와줘
He wonders what Jihyo would think of this performance. Sure she has more important things to worry about, but Moonbok hopes she’d like it all the same. Would she make fun of him for such a sappy song, or would she she congratulate him on a good choice?
...Knowing Jihyo, it would probably be a bit of both.
As he sings, Moonbok does his best to play to the crowd and play up his image of a love struck idol. Hand on his heart, then reaching out towards the crowd as he sings the chorus, clutching the mic with both hands at a particular sad part of the song and lowering his voice before belting out the best note his can at the song’s climax.
“You’re everything to me~”
All too soon his performance comes to an end and he sings the last voice in the sweetest sounding voice he can manage and gentle smile on his face as he reaches out to the crowd one final time. Then the music fades and his smile changes to a grin at the applause that breaks out.
This is truly want he wants. To entertain people and light up a venue with his performance. His dream is revived and he’s ready to seize it with both hands again.
“Thank you so much! I hope you all enjoyed listening to me as much as I enjoyed singing for you guys!”

S-POP Channel Updates
As news about S-POP finally come to light, all of those chosen to MC one of the shows that’ll air on the new channel receive an update on how their new job will start.
The first videos to be uploaded on the S-POP channel will be the teaser and eventual music video to the first song under Samsung Station: ‘Rain’ by Nara (Taeyeon’s RK counterpart). The Station releases will follow the order of which they were released in real life. Participation in station songs will not be purchased and, instead, assigned as a surprise to current idols and, maybe, active trainees as well. The first releases will mostly be taken by NPC seniors—such as the newest additions or our old ones—since starting a project with your most popular idols is the smartest move to make.
As for the other shows under S-POP, a new post will be made every month with a schedule of when recordings will take place as well as information regarding guests or themes (much like monthly schedules, but simpler). MCs will have extra requirements to write about which will always be an option but, in case they are completed, they will give you rewards which can be found at the end of this post.
Recordings happen exactly a week before airing and below you can find what will be in store for their first week of recording:
SUNDAY: IDOL CAFÉ ( @rkxjongsuk & @rkpjihyo ) **Ep.1 — REC: 03/01  ˡ  AIR: 03/08 Guest: LUXE

The MCs and each show they’ll feature in will be shared a week before their airing so, before then, please be sure not to comment about this opportunity with anyone as not to risk losing your spot as a host.
In order to receive +3 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE AS YOU WISH and +2 DEBUT POINTS, please write a 300+ words solo or a four-post thread with a co-mc or guest about the episode recording. Tag all related posts with #rkspop:feb20 and have them up before the activity check on March 4th. Threads may be continued after the deadline, but points will no longer be able to be collected. The points rewards will change in the following months. This is an in-between reward to fit only one week of recording, but also to celebrate the start of S-POP.
