rmwp replied to your post: “im not on right now” YEAH NEITHER AM I BITCH THIS...
thats why managers make a salary and not hourly wage………. because of the expectation of flexibility of hours………… cmon
god i literally cannot articulate enough how much i hate my manager like. starbucks is SOOOOOOO up his ass about how hes one of the youngest store managers and its so obvious they only promoted him so they could say that... like hes so childish. he schedules himself for barista shifts constantly and like... sucks at them. like he constantly forgets drive thru orders, he puts out light drinks on bar, hes absolutely useless on support its.... the worst. and then stuff like this happens and honestly? the fact he even bothered to reply to my texts, even in the most passive aggressive and least helpful way, is more than i expected of him

rmwp replied to your post “[[MOR] tfw you ask around for people who know of low-rent/affordable...”
do you have any lgbt community centers / orgs in your area ? or maybe just a “(Your area) Gays” facebook group or s/t ? the second is where ive seen housing magic happen most
We do, and that’s where this is happening.
Like, we’ve tried going that route before, and maybe it’s because we’re on the West Coast or smth, but it tends to end in either the person getting cold feet when they realize the reality of housing two mentally ill people, or they turn sour when they realize we aren’t, like, lowkey dtf.

Real Men Wear Pink
Watch Tim’s message here
We’re proud to be teaming up with Tim and the Real Men Wear Pink campaign to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness! And when you donate on Tim’s page, you can also earn chances to win some great prizes, including a one-on-one chat with Tim himself!
We’ve set up a page here on the site with all of the details: Real Men Wear Pink.
There are three different ways to participate, including a raffle, tiered donations (again with a chance to chat with Tim), and fan creation (fanfic or art) commissions for donations! 100% of your donations will go to Tim’s RMWP campaign – the prizes are just a bonus!
We’ll be posting more about this (and updating the page) over the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned for more information. And if you have any questions, please email us or use the contact form!
Thank you for your donations and for helping Tim raise money for such a worthy cause!

Caitlyn Derosier, Blog on Research in Social Media: Monitoring, Listening, Analysis
A nonprofit organization that I picked for this assignment is the American Cancer Society, just because it has a personal meaning to me now, I lost my dad last year to Esophgical Cancer so now I want to do anything I can to help teach people the importance on finding the type of cancer early and trying to help them beat it.
Facebook: When looking at their Facebook page the cover shows support and childhood cancer awareness month so it shows that they care about people, They're also active all the time so if there is something you want to contact them about you can always send them a message and someone will respond. The page has 1.3 million followers. They give a lot of information, for example, their phone number is listed on there and so is the website. There is a bunch of photos showing quotes, people beating cancer, and doctors with patients as well as families supporting each other. They went live a couple of days ago talking about Prostate Cancer and giving a bunch of information about that. In my opinion, there doesn't seem much that they could do to help improve those metrics.
Instagram: When looking at their Instagram page I noticed that they also have the option to message but I'm not sure how quickly they would answer. They have 977 posts, and 171,000 followers and their bio had their number and the website as well. They have highlights up, for example, there's one about Black History Month, there's one to Donate, there's one to get Screened for Cancer, there's one for Breast Cancer, as well as one for Colorectal Cancer, Facts and Figures, Healthy Living, HPV, Covid-19, Transportation, Lodging, Day in the Life, Notable Research, and lastly Research. Their posts are the same as on Facebook. The one thing that I could say to help improve is by maybe going live and teaching people all about the importance of getting checked when something doesn't feel right.
Twitter: When looking at their Twitter page their header has a man on it and it says “ Prostate cancer screening saves lives. Talk to a doctor” Although I feel like a lot of men would look past that, especially because not a lot of older men are on Twitter. They have 1.1 million followers. Their profile pictures are their logo. And in their bio, they have their number and website just like Instagram did. They like to retweet a lot of stuff as well as post their tweets. I don't think there would be anything I would change to their Twitter page
YouTube: When looking at their YouTube page their header says “Leading the fight for a world without cancer.” And it includes their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and their website in the header. They have 4.3K subscribers. They also have a ton of videos as well as playlists including “Caregiver videos in Spanish, American Cancer Society Journals, Health Equity, Coaches vs. Cancer - Recruiting a Winning Team, Real Men Wear Pink, Dr. Len’s COVID 19 Perspective, Global, Caregiver Series, American Cancer Society Great American Smokeout, Crucial Catch, RMWP, ACS Events, About HPV, Out Brand: Past & Present, Treatment & Support, About Colon Cancer, About Prostate Cancer, About Lung Cancer, About Breast Cancer, Cancer A-Z, Healthy Living, Get Involved, ACS Research, ACS Partners, Coaches vs. Cancer, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and lastly Relay For Life. I think they have a lot of good sources to help and that's why I don't believe that they need to improve any metrics.

#SurvivorsSaturday I am part of the #RealMenWearPink 🎀campaign to raise money for the #AmericanCancerSociety. Click here to donate towards my 🦸🏻♂️campaign: https://bit.ly/30yOSxD My “#RMWP” Campaign is very simple. For every person that you know, who has been or is battling cancer, please consider 💵donating $1. Of course I would be thrilled if the multiplier would be $5, $10, $25, $50, $100 or any amount you may deem to be appropriate. Further, there will be a special “#RealMenWearPINK” Event & Fashion Show on August 8, 2019 @ 6pm - Mercedes Benz of Fort Lauderdale. You do not want to miss this event. For the second year in a row, the American Cancer Society is holding a #FashionShow for our “Real Men Wear PINK“ Candidates to strut our stuff while bringing awareness to the community about breast cancer. The Fashion Show is taking place immediately following our #MakingStridesAgainstBreastCancer Kickoff and trust me, you won’t want to miss us men in PINK. @rmwp i’ve actually never had a physical copy, i printed one out at the end of a semester during my undergrad and used that for years but it’s nice to have a real book lmao
& kinda; it’s about as OOO as Haraway’s stuff on kinship. it’s closer to a posthumanism, which in the context of anthropology is incredibly cool to me. stuff like this and anna tsing’s The Mushroom at the End of the World and viveiros de castro’s Cannibal Metaphysics
