My stupid ramble about HiMERU in my HiMERU ships that I stole from my own bsky

This is how I view HiMERU in my HiMERU ships tbh Not that nkhm Meru and tthm Meru can't be suffering and cute respectively, but I feel they lean hard towards cute and suffering respectively.

Like, the most nkhm Meru is gonna suffer is realizing that he just had to fall for the least smart person he knew that isn't his brother. Ig his flat ass suffering too. But nkhm is mostly cute cuz they mutually tease each other but still get along. They also have similar issues which are not so cute

Actually, I don't think there's much cuteness in tthm from HiMERU's pov, HiMERU suffers the entire time. Anything cute is "aw cute tsundere suffering". If HiMERU isn't suffering, is it really tthm? Kaname's the cute one when shipped with Tatsumi, so HiMERU has to be funny and suffer.

rnhm/hmrn balance out being cute and suffering. HiMERU falls for the most annoying person he knows and suffers most of the time (bonus points for the double tsundere combo). But it's cute cuz he falls for the only older person he can trust, so he gets to be taken care of for once and act his age.

There needs to be more fanfics making use of the senpai-kouhai dynamics they can have. I think I read most of the tag on ao3 and the only ones that made use of them are mine 😭 It doesn't help that lots didn't age well cuz of the age reveal (it was hard reading at the time as a hm is younger truther)

The only reason rnhm Meru suffers more than hmrn Meru is cuz he's the one taking it up the ass. rnhmrn Meru is perfectly in the middle. It's the ideal dynamic cuz both HiMERU and Rinne are bottoms. It's not funny if only one is getting fucked, but if I had to choose, I'd pick Rinne cuz mpreg Rinne ❤️
