The sleep of this night deepens because I have walked coatless from the house carrying the white envelope. All night it will say one name in its little tin house by the roadside.

have you ever... felt stupid by simply looking at the moon? or a sunset..? i feel stupid because every time i see beautiful sky scenery, i get reminded of brandon. because once when I was in vietnam, i saw the most beautiful sunset of my entire life. the sun was a perfect orange ball in the middle of a clear blue pink sky... all i wanted to do at that moment is wish he could be beside me. you know when you love someone so much, you wish they could see whatever amazing thing you were seeing? i couldn't canoe at all and was doing so really slowly. even then, i was using whatever feeble strength i usually have to row the canoe as fast as i can. just to get back to the boat. to take my phone. to snap a picture of the sunset for you... i yelled at my mom to take a photo of the sunset for me when i was approaching the boat. she didn't get me. by the time my weak ass self climb up the boat, the sunset was gone. i'll never forget how sad i was that day because he couldn't see what i see. and because of this i remember that sunset. i think i'll remember it forever i was at Nikko three days ago. the beauty of the moon was unobstructed. it was as bright as a roadlamp and all i thought of is brandon. how i wish he could see what i see. even when i was sitting on the long flight of stairs wth alex, all i can think of is how nice if brandon was here, not for me, but to see what i am looking at now. how pathetic and cheesy can i get?
