The worst thing we’ve seen in Kazakhstan was the roads. In a few words, they are terrible! As a matter of fact the quality of “highway” between Ust’-Kamenogorsk and Taldykorgan is the worst we’ve seen in our lifes. We had to slow down and drive as slow as 5 mph to balance between tons of huge potholes, bumps, other irregularities and the road shoulder.

Road Trip Emergencies
With Van dwelling posts - whether it's on Instagram Twitter Facebook website or personal blog. One of the things that I believe is really important to show is what can go wrong on the road in addition to all the beauty and fun times you'll find on the road. Even though I had my engine checked before I left Florida I had some problems on the road and was scammed by a mechanic into getting services that I didn't need and paying for services that weren't done. Thankfully I went to an auto parts store first and two of the gentlemen looked over my engine and it was really simple fix. However this could have easily turned into me being stranded in the middle of a tiny little town with a dead engine if I had tried to make it to a bigger city and didn't first gone to an auto store. I was really lucky but it definitely sucks being scammed. I definitely plan to take mechanical trade classes when I get back to ensure this doesn't happen again.
