Dying Without Leaves

Richard Campbell Gansey III had been told countless times that he was destined for greatness. The words were passed casually over dinner by his parents’ friends, declared proudly by his high school teachers at Aglionby Academy, and echoed by his professors at Georgetown. They were whispered in his ear during his most lonely nights, when he was thousands of miles away from his family, but not away from home because what was home to Richard Gansey III, really?

Gansey had discovered his home in the small, quiet town of Henrietta and in the small, loud person of Blue Sargent, but he was still working on his destiny of greatness. He had unearthed a buried mirror of a Welsh king and then found the body of said king. He had sacrificed himself to save his home and his brother from being unmade and was reborn into something different, something more than human. To many people, this would constitute greatness, but to Gansey, he was just doing what was expected of him. Then he was brought back for a second time, and he really did not know why he should be given so many chances at life.

“Oh, ha ha. Yes, I could see how this may look strange.” Gansey gestured to their bags. “We’re actually bringing all of this to investigate the many interesting stories and legends that have been passed down through generations. You see, there are many tales of people being led into Pando by mysterious voices and glimpses of beings flitting between the boughs of the tree, but when they get close enough, they find that what they had been chasing has disappeared.” 

“Oh, so you are chasing ghosts then,” Edie laughed. 

“It’s not only stories of disappearing people! Legends say that there is also a lake within Pando that entrances people into staring at themselves until they forget who or where they are. And there have been sightings of a blood-like substance oozing from the ground and the trees in the nearby area.” Gansey rifled through his journal as he spoke until he looked up at Blue. “And of course, Jane has been -.” 

“Alright, we’ve got to go, Gansey.” Blue gave him a pointed look. “I want to pick up something to eat before we’re trapped on a plane for eight hours with nothing but a packet of peanuts.”

The full trailer for season 2 of "Heels" is finally out and it looks great!!! :D Jack's dealing with his wife having left and estranged relationship with his brother Ace, Ace is struggling too, Crystal is now an actual wrestler and the DWL are actually adding more female wrestlers, Bobby seems to be now a ref and one of the announcers as well as it exploring more of his and Crystal's relationship, Rooster has a new wrestling persona, there's new cast additions like Emmy Raver Lampman from "Umbrella Academy", and looks like CM Punk is a series regular now too as Ricky. Excited to watch and it's back July 28th.
