"The landscape design is an extension of the architectural footprint (or vice versa). The Highline connecting the towers is actually the continuation of a path that begins in the garden, penetrates the buildings, and ends at the black lava sand beach. The path begins at the entrance past the neon installation and leads us first through a tropical forest. The variety of plants here is huge: heliconias, ferns, Bodhi trees, banana trees, Banyan trees, Majapahit trees, Baobab trees, Pule trees, and bromeliads to name but a few. Inside the forest, we encounter moments such as a mossy rock turned fountain, a bench for meditating by a shrine, an enclosed garden where guests can listen to and read poetry by Artur Becker, and an enormous Pule tree in the middle."

Festival TV noël (Christmas)
Friday 25 December
Lancelot du Lac
For the first time, television is drawing on the most unknown treasure of French literature: the tales of the Round Table. The legend of Lancelot du Lac was born at the same time, from the Provencal light and the Welsh mists. Later, Chrétien de Troye fixed [as in: set as, changed to, solidified as, etc.] the story as « Le Chevalier à la charrette » [“The Knight of the Cart”]. Today, after ten years of waiting, Claude Santelli brings to the screen this story of a great love upset.
He used the setting of Morbihan, where fantasy is still closely intertwined with everyday life. It was the same in the Middle Ages, says Santelli, “who put imagination on the same level as intelligence.” A love story, "Lancelot du Lac" is also a story of an initiation. The knight, before reaching happiness. must overcome a thousand trials. “Lancelot” has us live in a time where the fairytale was not a refuge from the real world, but the wonderful extension of this world, a world in which action is really the sister of dreams.
IMAGES 1 "The queen Guenièvere [Guinevere] (Marie-Christine Barrault) and the seneschal [Keu, aka Kay] (Jean-Pierre Bernard)” 2 "Guenièvere [Guinevere] : From the first meeting, Lancelot asked her to always hold [it really says “hold it” but I’m not sure precisely what they’re referring to here. Possibly herself or her love?] for her knight." 3 "With the fairy Saraide (Mariannick Revillon) who is raised like him, Lancelot is back to his childhood. She is his counselor and conscience."

THE TIME AND PLACE
During the 12th century, in Britanny.
THE THEME [as in, the basic idea of the show. effectively a plot blurb]
The epic of Lancelot du Lac, knight of the Round Table who, for the love of his lady [implied: Queen Guinevere], accomplishes extraordinary feats.
A grand love story, it is not without resemblance to that of “Tristan and Iseult”, although it is regrettable that the name of Lancelot does not reach the same dramatic intensity as that of Tristan, divided between duty and love.
THE CHARACTERS
A whole series of novels is blooming around the deeds of the knights of Arthur who have gone in search of the Holy Grail. Not of the “Breton cycle” (of the Celtic culture), the character of Lancelot was taken up by Chretien de Troye at the end of the 12th century (“Lancelot or the Knight of the cart”, 1170) and changed in the 13th by the monks who added mystical elements. Much later, Lord Alfred Tennyson ("Les Idylles du roi", 1859-1895) and then Jean Cocteau (c Les Chevaliers de la Table Ronde >, 1937), among others, adapted the story. The synthesis of Claude Santelli, who unified the fantastical, courteous, and Christian aspects, was filmed largely in natural settings, on the high places of Breton art, along deserted beaches bordered by heath.
ADAPTATED, WRITTEN AND REALIZED, BY CLAUDE SANTELLI Director of Photography, Andre Lecreuvre Original music of Georges Delerue Costumes by Rosine Delamare Set by Jean Thomen Equestrian and combat counselor, Jean Galtat
The character of Lancelot embodies the ideal type of valiant and faithful knight, and has his love. He better represents the Breton chivalry than his successor Perceval, another hero to the pure heart who conquered the Holy Grail. Passionately in love with his lady, Lancelot accomplishes many feats. His unfailing love compels him to be near her, more by the echo of her deeds than by her real presence. This is how he reconciles love and joy.
IF YOU MISSED THE DEBUT [as in, first episode]
While the wife of King Ban de Benoic mourns her husband, who has seen his castle in flames, the mysterious Lady of the Lake, Viviane, looks to their child. She draws him under her mother’s eyes, in her house, under the waters. Viviane formerly sorcered Merlin the enchanter and he dared to tell her secrets. Viviane, in the past, bewitched Merlin the enchanter and stole his secrets. It was he who, out of love, built this palace under water. In Viviane's castle, the child, "the beautiful one", grows up... [this is where the article cuts off]
