How To Add Robin Banks as the Default Burglar In EXISTING Saves!!

Currently Robin only shows up as the burglar in NEW save files. This step-by-step tells you how to get her as the default in existing saves.

Step 1. You will need to download a Robin Banks from the gallery and move her into a neighbourhood. (An empty lot will do fine)

Step 2. From Manage Worlds, evict her from that lot so that she is 'homeless' or only appears in the Manage Households tab. She needs to be a Not in World Sim.

Step 3. Load up another household, any will do.

Step 4. Bring up the cheat box using ctrl, shift, C. Type in the following cheat:

sims.get_sim_id_by_name (first name) (last name)

for example, yours will say: sims.get_sim_id_by_name Robin Banks

Press enter. You will be given an 18 digit number which you will need to write down.

Step 5. Force summon a burglary. You can do this by opening the cheat box and typing in:

testingcheats true

press enter. Then hold down the shift button and left click the mailbox (at the same time) and click 'Schedule Burglar Visit (debug)

Step 6. Wait for the burglar to show up. Whilst holding shift, left click the burglar and click 'Add to Family'.

Step 7. Immediately open the cheat box up again. Type in the following cheat (you may want to pause the game here)

Careers.add_career (career) (sim id)

for example, yours will say: Careers.add_career Burglar 18digitsimidfromearlier

This cheat can be used to add any sim into any NPC such as Father Winter, Bartender etc.

Step 8. Schedule another burglar visit by shift clicking the mailbox again. So long as you have typed everything correctly, Robin Banks should show up as the Burglar!

If she does not, repeat Step 7, double checking everything, including the 18 digit sim id has been typed correctly. Note you will not need to use any brackets () in the cheats.

Do what you want with the old burglar. Lock them in a room and remove the doors or use manage worlds to move them out of your house.

Hey everyone! There is an ace book free on Kindle today! (Time Stamp: 22/12/2024)

It is listed as part 4 of a series, but it's a shared universe situation, all books are independent of each other. I can't say much about the story yet, but the general world is a capitalist dystopia, and in each story, people break out of it for whatever reason. This time, it seems to have started with a grafitty in a public bathroom?

What I can say about the author is that I have read multiple of their books, and 1) I generally love their writing, 2) other people I have shown it to always comment on how good their humour is, 3) they have a lot of a-spec, trans and neurodivergent rep, 4) I really like the way that they write those groups.

It is free until tomorrow (Monday 23/12/2024) morning.
