Thinking about how we’re just going to get to see Robert around the village like he’ll just be in scene at the pub, propping up the bar, reacting to other people being dramatic again.

Because there’s all the big stuff we know is coming with Aaron, with John, etc. but there’s so much other little stuff of him just getting himself re-established in the village that I’m so intrigued to see.

I’ve definitely been guilty of forgetting we do actually have time for all the stuff we want to happen so trying to just enjoy each thing as it comes and get excited about just having my favourite character back where he belongs! 💜

I’m personally very thankful that we’re getting to do this without the presence of Liv or Seb. I just want Robron for now.

Well I would imagine that Seb will make his way back at some point. They killed Rebecca off for a reason. I try to be careful when talking about Liv because although I never cared for her, I have mutuals who did, and I want to be respectful of that. For me they just never got the writing for her, and especially her relationship with Aaron, correct. And it felt like she was initially introduced as a way to make the more conservative audience members more comfortable watching Robert and Aaron scenes. She felt like a buffer between them and the audience and I hated that.

We waited so long for the Robron reunion and then we didn't get to see any part of the two of them enjoying their reunion. Instead we got instant crazy over protective Aaron who didn't allow anyone to even scold her, and who got upset with Robert anytime he was justifiably upset with her. Then she was literally in most of their scenes. It was way too much way too fast and it didn't work on any level. They never even tried to separate her from Aaron and it was detrimental to both characters. She basically had one friend, Gabby, and they fought more than they got along. Her ace storyline had potential, but with the exception of her early relationship with Vinny, it wasn't really handled appropriately either. But many people loved seeing themselves represented on television so I'm glad they got to have that, even if the storyline wasn't always handled with the best of care. I liked her relationship with Robert more because the show at least had to put effort into writing it. It's the same reason why people liked Aaron and Seb, but not Robert and Seb. But they ruined Robert and Liv's relationship the moment Ryan left so it ended up being pointless. I'm not even going to talk about how toxic the Aaron and Liv relationship was prior to Danny's exit, but they were unwatchable together at that point.

For now I just want to enjoy the two of them dancing around their inevitability. I want mutual pining, arguments and AFFAIR 2.0. Seb can come back later but for now I want to just have them.

i am ecstatic that rebecca is DEAD! and for people who infantilize her, please go back to watch the night that seb was conceived cause robert was too drunk to consent!

its something thats always irked me about how the writing (ie the other characters) and anti-robert fandom have talked about seb's conception as if it was all rob's fault and rebecca is just another victim of his. when in reality robert is HER victim. If you go back to watch that night you can see that she leaves the pub after just drinking club soda, and when she finds robert he's so drunk he can't even sit up straight, let alone consent to having sex with her. she knows he's super drunk and thinking about his marriage, but she wants what she wants. she should have walked away!

people see moments like this as being a gray area because that night rob was the one who initiated trying to kiss her. but its not a gray area cause she was COMPLETELY SOBER which means she did have the power in that dynamic and should have walked away instead of taking advantage of him at his most vulnerable! and i gotta say it: if the roles were reversed robert would have been locked up for taking advantage of her.

But because he's a bisexual man and "big bad evil robert", rebecca is the one who is coddled while rob is thrown out and shunned. its sooo sad! when he tried to defend himself no one wanted to hear it. and if he called it abuse, people would think he was trying to get out of being guilty, or co-opting that term to make himself look better cause people would have compared it to aaron's abuse or something similar, where there are clearer lines in the sand.

i could write essays on essays how i hated the way that was done! and rebecca in general was such a mistake on the writers part, which is why they sent her away and killed her off screen because of regret lmao

I’ve not watched Emmerdale in ages but I do know that Aaron is engaged to Robert’s half brother John Sugden (or at least a guy pretending to be John). And that Seb is now living with some great aunt or something since Rebecca died.

What I need to happen if this facade gets as far as the wedding day is when the objections are called Robert and Seb come in yelling their objections and Aaron to realise that he still loves Robert and wants his family back and goes back to them, leaving “John” at the altar.

Seeing so many accounts resurrected is so much joy, seeing accounts that stopped watching when LIV was brought in permanently is wild, seeing full antis walk it back is insane. Really sort of cool that we're all going to this era blind but on the same level

I suppose now that Rebecca is dead that Aaron will be able to officially adopt him down the line 👀🫶🏻

I've seen heaps of speculation surrounding Seb's return and most people agree it'll be when all the drama with John is over, but what if it's not?

They might bring him back earlier, having him and Robert bonding straight away, shocking Aaron at seeing his stepson again for the first time in years. But he has to keep his distance because he's technically not his stepson anymore even though we all know he was way more than that.

Maybe he can’t hold off and he ends up spending time with him again and that's what annoys John more than anything else?

Enter possible kidnapping plot on deranged John's part, Robert and Aaron (and Ross) all going ape trying to save him.

I dunno - could be plausible.

We shall see what happens though peeps!!

Would anyone be interested in a fic of Ross and Robert chaotic coparents scheme to Seb back off Rebecca’s aunt possibly with Mack as an accomplice.

Like Robert has come back to the village but as promised he’s staying away from Aaron (just Aaron he’s still trying to bring John down) and one day Ross corners him and says “I miss Seb and I’m sure you do too, why don’t we work on this together rather than against each other?” So they start trying to work out who would get him when and what their best chance at court would be because neither is stupid enough to go straight to kidnap.

Mack sees Roberts distrust of John and wants in on taking him down but some how gets pulled into the chaos. Maybe because Moses and proving that Ross can coparent on a custody claim.

I don’t know I just think it’d be funny if the whole village seen the three of them hanging out and thought oh good lord what are they up to? And everyone is trying to put a stop to it before they burn the whole village down and then it’s just like….we are literally not doing anything crazy.

Aaron is pretending not to care about what’s happening but he is worried about Robert and Ross suddenly being friends and what it’ll mean
