Women's rights have been a consistent issue across the world for many years. We have lacked equality in education, jobs, paychecks, representation in politics, and sexual assault/violence. As women, we have the power to use our voices. When we come together, we can create something beautiful.

Online Campaigns

Online campaigns are a great way to create change within a society. With social media being a vital part of our time, using online campaigns allows for a large target audience. This way, people can take action in the comfort of their own homes, in the office, traveling, etc. Campaigning can create long-lasting change. You can campaign through emails, social media, search engines, videos, podcasts, and many more.

Here is a list of podcasts that promote women's rights.

Community Engagement

Being or becoming involved in your community is very important. Community engagement can bring your community to life and allow groups of people to find similarities and grow an even larger following on the same ideas.

I would create a group that is open to meeting a few times a week to discuss the rights of women and push for change in our area. Here is an example of one that is in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Educational Outreach

Educational outreach is a great way to properly inform people on important matters. It can also help support and uplift groups of people, in this case, women. Some great ways to accomplish this are school presentations, workshops, pamphlets, posters, etc. In order to spread awareness for women's rights, I would present to a class on the topic of this matter in a TED Talk fashion, or through a presentation.

Sonia Rao is a great example of educational outreach.

With the combination of creating a podcast, a women's rights support group, and public speaking, I believe that I could easily represent the rights of women in my community. The more we work towards our beliefs and fight for our rights, the stronger the fight will become. I believe that if we can all take action, change will be far more likely to occur.
