YES
“Erm.”
Harry looked up from his essay. “Yes?”
“I… erm. I don’t know if, er. Did you mean for me to see this?” Draco’s face was doing something funny. He laid down the laundry basket and picked up Harry’s jeans. “You know you never empty your pockets.”
“Yes.”
“Although I’ve told you repeatedly. And despite being raised Muggle. You don’t bother taking anything out before throwing it in the machine.”
“Yes.”
“Receipts, coins, notes…”
“Yes.”
“Rings?”
Harry got down on one knee.
Draco swallowed. “Harry?”
“Will you…”
He joined him on the floor with a groan, crying. “Fuck you. Yes.”

First Light
It took exactly three seconds to realise what was wrong; Draco blinked sleep-heavy eyes, mouth turning into a frown. The bed was empty apart from him, Harry’s side cold. Oh.
So this was… oh.
Furious—no, sick to his stomach—no, absolutely fuming—Draco leapt off the bed, shaking his head all the while. It didn’t help with how disorientated he felt. After last night, he actually believed… idiot. He knew all along Harry wasn’t serious. That he couldn’t be—
A yellow sticky note sat on the bedside table.
Out to get breakfast. Can’t wait to don’t go anywhere.
…Oh.

Moving (forward)
“What on earth?”
Harry turned, startled. “Are you—what’s that?”
“My question exactly.” Draco’s fingers stroked the tangled blue mess, frown questioning. “It was in one of your boxes.”
“I don’t… oh! D’you remember Luna’s lion hat from school? I tried to make something for your first match.”
“For my first—with the Tornados? But that was two years ago. We weren’t… then.”
“I know.” Harry put down the box marked ‘Malfoy poncy cutlery’ with a helpless smile. “You were just so good. I had to…”
He even kissed like a tornado. Harry closed his eyes, grateful for the storm.

Late Night Trip to Aldi
“Do you think it hurts the carrots when we peel them?” Draco asks as he lays them on the weight sensor, sharp frown turning towards him.
“I hope not. Thought you might make that orange soup again.”
“I could. Do you really hear the sea with a shell to your ear?”
Harry tilts his head. “Dunno, never tried. You?”
“Do you think—”
“What’s with all the questions, love?”
Draco shrugs, tiny. “I just. There’s so much… there’s almost nothing I know.”
“Nothing?” Harry asks, hopefully calm.
“Almost nothing.” Draco takes his hand, and when he smiles, it’s all soft.

Chipped
When Draco moved into his flat, the kitchen was entirely empty. The only thing he had was a single cup (golden-rimmed, chipped). Then Pansy brought wine glasses, and Blaise the wine. Theo bought plates, and Greg got four sets of cutlery. (Still, the leftovers from their date Draco fed Harry with his fingers, directly out the Styrofoam).
After that Granger brought bowls, three pots when she was Hermione. Ron swiped pans from the Burrow, and Luna and Ginny got chopping boards in every colour of the rainbow.
Chipped cup had company now. Draco’s cupboard (life, heart) was getting ever fuller.

Scavenger Hunt
First he looked in Draco’s desk. In the drawers he found; an old engraved watch, a book of French poetry, five hair ties, endless case files. The wardrobe contained clothes, and a user manual for a—telly, maybe, covered in handwritten notes. In the cabinet near the bed; the jumper Draco swore he didn’t steal, an old photograph, smiles nearly worn. Harry’s given up as he fell on the bed, sighing. Maybe Draco got rid of it. Maybe he didn’t want…
There was something lumpy under the pillow.
Harry could only breathe when he saw it; a tiny, plush stag.

Rare
It would have been better if his arm wasn’t a sizzling colony of ants—but moving Draco would not only be cruel, it would be outright stupid. Right now he was resting on Harry’s chest, and he’s never been so… how to say it without falling apart; Draco was sharp edges, pointy and barbed. He didn’t do soft, not like this. Barer than when he was naked and frantic with need, more unguarded than when he was asleep. Making these unbearable, small noises of content. So Harry would suffer pins and needles; it’d be worth it. Probably anything would be.

Determination is key
Draco has a solid routine: he wakes up at seven forty-five every day, takes his tea in the sitting room, curtains open to the morning sky. If he happens to catch a glimpse of the next-door neighbour, it’s purely by accident.
When he arrives home at half six he inspects the mailbox thoroughly. Muggle mail comes so sporadically. And having an excuse to bend over in his tight trousers—well, nothing wrong with stretching, right?
He has dinner, alone, in front of the window. Waiting. Always waiting. Until—
A knock on the door.
“Mind if I joined you?”
About time.

Still chucking it down
TW for injury (not detailed)
“Oh, gods.”
“Sorry, baby. I didn’t… wasn’t paying enough attention.”
“Clearly. You’re lucky the tree didn’t take your arm off; imagine trying to fly in gale-force winds then? Now, that’d be dangerous.”
“I said I was sorry. We—”
“And to think Weasel had to call me. Couldn’t even spare a Patronus?”
“I knew you’d get huffy.”
“Huffy?”
“I meant—”
“That’s two weeks off your broom, Potter.”
“What!”
“Minimum. You’d need to report to me every morning for a check-up.”
“So bossy.”
“I’m your doctor.”
“Bossy doctor.”
“Shut up. Now come here and give me a kiss. Doctor’s orders.”

Only Fair
“It’s your turn.”
“Mhm,” Harry agreed, still refusing to move. Draco squealed when Harry fell on top of him, pinning him down to the sofa, more laughter than outrage. Now he had his hands full of soft hair, Draco’s smell so strong in his nose he felt faint.
“Harry. We’ve nothing to eat. And it’s your turn.”
“But Asda’s so far. And you’re right here.” He inhaled deep, helplessly, euphorically.
“We’ll starve.”
“Meh,” Harry shrugged. “We’ll get by.”
“Come on, you—”
“In a minute. Just… one minute.”
Draco sighed. “All right.”
Harry could feel the smile against his cheek.

Family Affair
“He didn’t!”
“Totally did.”
James looks a bit punched in the face, and Harry startles—but James just slides back down his chair, blinking too fast.
“That means you have a shot with him.” Lily doesn’t notice she’s buttering the tablecloth. “You should be happy!”
“Happy,” Al repeats, too busy trying to feed Scorpius his toast. “We can go on a double date. Me and Scorp, you and Te—”
“Teddy?” Draco asks from the doorway, wide-eyed. “James fancies Teddy?”
“Help me,” James whispers, and by the time Harry realises he’s asking Draco, he’s laughing too hard to care.

Melting
“Here, for you.”
Draco turned around, smiling already, and laid the cups on the table. “Breakfast before presents, darling. It’s the rule.”
“I know, just.” Harry looked up, bright eyes hazy behind the steam. He liked his tea hot; so hot Draco always worried he’d burn his tongue on it, but he never. “I found it behind the bins at Dean’s place. Wasn’t working at first, but…”
He opened his hand, revealing a tiny musical box. Inside it lay a tinier dragon, spinning to a familiar lullaby.
All this warmth… Draco sighed, closing his eyes. Nothing to do but melt.

Premier League
TW for panic attack
Draco doesn’t like large crowds. Something about too many eyes, too many worlds contained in too many heads, about getting lost and never being found again, it makes him nauseous. Harry knows this; he barely leaves his side whenever they brave a crowded shopping centre, or when he tried taking him to the cinema that one dreadful time. He’s close now too, rolling next to Draco covered in Harpies green and yellow, but—
But still, too much, too loud, too big—
Harry’s wheelchair squeaks into a stop.
“Alright, love?”
Green eyes find grey, and he takes a deep breath. Unlost.

Something
The people in the deli had all sorts of theories about the English couple: maybe the black-haired man was a soldier, or the blond a sailor, and they only got to see each other every other weekend. It would explain the infrequent, regular visits; it would also explain why they couldn’t stop touching each other, looking at each other like that. When the one with the glasses would go on tip-toes to reach for a tin, and the other would roll his eyes, so fond even the tomatoes blushed—there was just something about them, everyone could see. Something… magic.

Best Laid Plans
They didn’t have enough to go anywhere, plus Draco’s shifts were too erratic to plan much in advance, so Harry got some candles and a blanket stashed in the cupboard’s top shelf. The first day they both had off, he let Draco sleep in while he arranged it; breakfast in bed, the nice bath bomb they’ve been saving, and for a grand finale, picnic in the middle of the living room with some bubbly and jazz music. He wasn’t sure it was enough—but then Draco kissed him, so deep and so warm that he must’ve done the right thing.

Stop right there!
“I’m sorry, sir, but I’ll have to give you a ticket for that.”
“I beg your pardon?”
“Afraid begging won’t get you out of this.” Draco kept his tone as level as it went. He cleared his throat, ignoring the heat crawling up his spine.
“Are you sure?” green eyes smirked at him. Draco had to close his.
“Quite, yes. Now if you’ll just follow me—”
“No.”
His breath left him in a whoosh. “Come again?”
“I said, no.”
“I’ll restrain you if I have to.”
“That a promise?”
Oh, damn him. Draco couldn’t help a smile. “Of course.”
