Comm - Team Floof Reimagined (Pokemon TF)

Before Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Day ends, there was one more exploit of @8000Power and my own's legendary Team Floof, once more with art by @StarWarriors, that I wanted to be sure to share. Surely you recognize these famous Pokemon heroes, right? No? Actually, you'd be right! As hard as it might be to tell, the two shown here are *not* in fact the usual Pokemon forms they're known to take on. Typically, Team Floof is made up of my own character on the Buneary evolutionary line, and 8K's on the Fennekin line. If you look closely, however, you'll see that these two are neither, but instead a Scorbunny and a Rocruff! What could have led to something like this? In a world as big and marvelous as that of PMD though, there's sure to be a logical explanation - plus, a way to shift back. Assuming they wish to, that is.

Does your newfound lycanroc have a name?

Ah, not yet. She doesn't have a name on her registry, she's been responding to mostly "Rocruff" so far. We assume she never had a nickname, but my ranger friend(?) insists on giving her one. So its a work in progress.

He does keep being very mean to her though. His nicknames have included stinky, bastard, wench, and buttface. I shall have to report him for bullying.

I did it. I got bored enough to make a pokedex for my neck of the woods. I'm a little biased but it's my dex so yeah

I didn't really want to create any new Pokémon, but Jesus. How is there no Blue Tailed Skink pokemon yet? They're everywhere here

Anyways the way I imagine things is this: each state has their own official pokedex with some crossover from neighboring states expected. Kids would probably choose a random farm animal equivalent while some can get special access to certified Starter pokemon approved by the state boards. That being said, it's perfectly legal and sort of expected that some people will dip over state lines for a specific one if that's what they want (or in our case, cheaper). Each pokemon chosen here is based on some aspect of wildlife or industry, with only a few thrown in for cultural or realistic means (as in Cryogonal for freezers, Garbodor because of litter, and the likes of Electivire because I think it and Magmortar would be token school mascots)

The legends chosen here are mainly because this area is very religious. Zygarde isn't seen because the religious dichotomy here would be that God made Xerneas for us and the Devil made Yveltal to kill us- everything here is very black and white in that regard. In reality they're probably just mutant legendaries from an Ultra Wormhole or something. Celebii was chosen because it's always felt like a mythical that belongs here tbh.

Anyway, if I grew up in this fictional MS, I'd probably have Typhlosion because irl was my first starter, Mudsdale because we raised horses, Tauros because i raised a bull irl, Shiny Umbreon because we have always had dogs and irl was my first hatched shiny, Blastoise (obtained for similar reasons I obtained so many pets: dumped onto me), and Corviknight because its my favorite irl and there's enough crows to warrant it.

There's a plethora of farming, logging, and basically a bunch of blue collar jobs here, sports and religion/superstition are high priority here, and if you see a LOT of grass, water, and ground types, that's because it's very wet, lots of woods, and lots of mud.

Dusk form Lycanroc?? More like Ash-Lycanroc. Gotta kill with rocruff to evolve it in battle.

Honestly, I think Lycanroc is pretty transparently their favorite this gen, so it would not surprise me if that’s effectively what this was.

Sadie blushed at his statement, only to feel her brow furrow. “Mngh...We weren’t staring that much....were we?” she asked, looking back at it. Only for it to nod back at her, only for it to chuckle. 

She looked to her hand, only to slowly reach out for it, resting her hand on it’s bone helm. “Hmm...” she pondered for a moment, a part of her feeling warm and fuzzy from the creature, but at the same time she was anxious. It was enough she had that Rocruff egg in her possession, but now this? 

“Seems like I’m just attracting a lot of pokemon lately.” she chuckled, only to look back up to Loch. “I...I don’t know? Doesn’t have to be ..anything fancy I suppose....I just don’t have one on hand....” she turned back to the creature, pulling her hand away after petting it some. 

“I-I mean, We don’t even know if it really wants me to catch them. They could just be looking for uh... food or a new friend? I don’t know? I don’t know why it would want me.” she chuckled nervously.

Random Headcannon: Sadie's Marowak Reaper is super protective of her. He considers her his mate and gets super jealous when anyone he suspects likes her comes around. As for the other pokemon, Even though Bubba is the leader, he considers himself the leader. He goes so far as to jump out of his pokeball before Sadie has a chance to summon the others. He respects Bubba and Crawdaddy cuz they known her the longest , but finds himself getting Jealous of Judas, Bart, and the unnamed Rocruff egg, cuz they tend to get to cuddles before he does. He ESPECIALLY doesn't like Bart because he always seems to be pushing Sadie and Nanu together. Sometimes he can be overbearing and may get her into trouble, but at the end of the day, he gets food and cuddles. And she couldn't be happier without him.
