Ever since millionaire detective ended I've been craving a new detective anime. I miss you daisuke kambe.

I finally got my wish; Ron Kamonohashi Forbidden Deductions is pretty amazing.

It follows Toto our main guys and the genius former detective Ron.

There's just something about seeing the light come back into his eyes that's amazingly beautiful.

Ofc Ron gets popular bc he became filthy rich. He bought happiness, but it can’t beat the happiness he already has (Kim and Rufus)

Bonnie being the gold digger wasn’t surprising at all, I respect the grind but I think it’s a bit too much when she KNOWS how mean she was to Ron for the longest time. She really took advantage of Ron being lured by the high of social popularity.

It was kind of cringe yet nice to see Ron acting all Mansa Musa in school. Well what else would he do with the insane amount of wealth he has as a highschooler? Maybe upgrade his wardrobe, buy all the games he wants.

That diamond is way too big for his pinky for sure.

Ron buying the jet and the squad for Kim lifted her opinions little about the money. Would she be happier if Ron bought gifts for her in the beginning instead of straight cash? Shego reacting to the squad was funny tho

There’s no way that Ron carried ALL that money in his pockets. But I guess that moment served as a transition to the parallel of Drakken recklessly spending money.

Now that last scene at Bueno Nacho, real smooth there, Ron. Only Kim and Rufus as his friends? What happened to Felix ಠ_ಠ

I am shaking my fellow solarpunks by the shoulders, if Ron DeSantis becomes president people are gonna die. People are gonna get killed. Here and overseas. I feel it in my bones. And if you’re ‘fortunate’ enough to live quality of life is going to be dropping way low in the US if you aren’t some rich millionaire or billionaire who also happens to not be a person of color or queer in any way.

Does the system need a major overhaul/overthrow? Absolutely! But until we get there I swear PLEASE keep that man out of the oval office, he’s unhinged enough as just governor—as much as some of yall make fun of Southerners for being dumb and stupid and racist? sometimes i get a bit annoyed by people saying "they are all nepo babies" when people try to criticise this issue in f1 (to be fair a lot of it isn't productive or just mean spirited) when lewis and esteban and their families had to work their way up from the very bottom. no they aren't ALL nepo babies and even if they were, it still isn't a good thing.

or even when people say "lawrence stroll's only being a loving father" when there are literally drivers like george on the current grid who had been snubbed in the past and almost lost it all because of him. like okay fine he loves his son but stop pretending its some great and noble act when he has hurt so many people.

You and I are very similar anon, every now and then I hold in complaining about this for too long and end up getting very grumpy about it. Just last night poor @jamesvowles got this text and then I ranted about this exact topic

I also get very rankled by ‘theyre all nepo babies so you can’t critique mine’. One- I sure as hell can, and I will rightfully critique all of the ways they were given privileged access to a sport. Two —There are also different levels of privilege— things like Carlos and Checo and Mick having parental connections that helped them get a seat are the definition of nepotism- but are still less than Lando’s dad buying his seat (while he did still preform fairly well in f2), or Lances dad buying an entire team for him.

And then theres the fact that some drivers got very very lucky to get access to support from outside funding- they had to get it on their talent providing them opportunities for connections and without it, they would’ve had to stop racing entirely. Lewis, George, Esteban, questionably Alex, and I’m sure theres several others I haven’t done the appropriate research on to site all had this. Lewis getting support from Ron Dennis, George getting support from Toto- these are privileged connections that allowed them to get to F1. They deserved that help, their parents gave everything to get them to that point.

What annoys me a bit about ‘theyre all nepo babies’ and ‘lance’s only crime is having a loving father’ is… those other drivers had loving parents too. Lewis’ dad working something like four jobs so they could afford his karting, George’s dad selling his small business and working two jobs and night shifts for George’s, Esteban’s family selling their home for him— I have opinions about how f1 pushes children and families to chase possible bankrupting and questionable parenting for the chance at being millionaires on the backs of young, young kids.. but you cant argue their parents didn’t fucking love them when they were sacrificing everything in their lives for their son to have a chance at their dreams.

The argument isn’t ‘lance’s dad shouldn’t have supported his children’s dreams’ its that these drivers with connected parents didn’t have to jump through extra hoops to get to f1, they had it paved for them, and the money they brought with them keeps them in their seats, while other drivers didn’t have that, and had their performance dropped, they would have been dropped too. They didnt get a chance to rest or make mistakes or risk losing a sponsor. The argument also isn’t ‘nepo babies can never be wdc’s’. Whether I like it or not, Max’s 3 questionable wdc’s amount to at least one total, your parents dont denote your talent. The problem arises when those parents directly hinder or harm the careers of other drivers in order to push their kid forward. Stuff like Esteban being kicked from racing point to give lance a seat forcing him to go a year without one, or George being kicked from PREMA with very little warning at a time he’s talked about desperately struggling with funding.

Those parents should not have had the opportunity to do that, it shouldn’t have ever happened. But where people get actually upset is when the fans of drivers who get that help don’t acknowledge that privilege, or the drivers themselves (like lando in particular) don’t acknowledge the privileges they’ve been afforded. Stomping your feet and going ‘you’re just mad you didn’t get that’ never diffuses a thing. I, and George himself even, have both said that even as a poorer driver, he got more opportunities as a white man than someone else would have. Both George and Lewis talk about how because they were men they had less to fight against than a female driver. Acknowledging your own benefits kinda kills the resentment you could hold against them for getting that help. Nobody should be expecting 24/7 grovelling realistically, but a mention every now and then would be nice, or just understanding those reasons are valid reasons not to like a driver. I can argue all I want that George doesn’t have a posh accent.. but for some people him being British is too much of a reason not to like him, and thats fine. On god, more George and Lewis left for me.

Yes this is the millionaire tax evader sport. Yes they could still be doing more to better the chances for less privileged drivers. Yes they are racing in countries with horrible human rights records with so little complaint… but ‘everything is fucked so what’s the point’ is a nihilist way of thinking, where as I would rather point at drivers like Lewis and George and going ‘if they can do it, so should you.’ Because that incremental change is what will lead us to a better over all

I am- MORE than sure there are nuances to this discussion I’m not covering here in my very subjective personal opinion on the matter at 11 am on a Monday morning, but rambling about it made me feel lighter and more chill about the whole thing, so I don’t really regret doing it, lol. This isnt a call for action, just a longwinded whinge. I’m British, I think everyone should have a whinge every now and then and they’ll be a lot happier.

Gale's Analysis: Ron Stoppable is the Epitome of Secret Badass

Ron Stoppable, The buffoon, the sidekick, the loser, the guy with a naked mole rat.

Suffice to say, Ron at first impression is just a weird teen. And for those that have made that assumption, you are right. Ron is weird. He follows the beat of his own drum. Yes he can get swayed by fads, yes he is afraid of monkeys and yes he is often losing his pants more times than a person should.

But today I will be talking to you about why this guy is not only a secret badass but the best example of one.

To be a Secret Badass.

Now there is a trope called Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass, this trope often involves an unassuming character (usually seen as a joke or weakling) and then revealing that they are actually super powerful, competent in some way shape or form.

Now I actually dont think this works for Ron because, with this trope, the individual KNOWS what they are doing is a front. That unassuming action is mainly something they put out there while the true self is the competent individual who is either Super smart, super strong, or super skilled.

But here is the thing, Ron isnt putting up a front, this is his personality. He is a bit of a slacker, doesnt follow trends, is obsessed with cartoons, goes trick or treating, gets caught up in kid stuff, everything Ron does is because he is Ron.

But thats why I think he counts as a Secret Badass, because Ron isnt Hiding the fact that he is a badass, he has NO IDEA HE IS ONE. He just performs the actions by accident or instinct without it really having it sink in.

Now to go further into what I mean. Ron thinks he is an untalented slacker idiot, a coward that struggles with girls, and a guy that cant fight or be the cool athlete.

But in truth Ron is actually a genius, athletic, smooth fighting badass.

Yes, I am being 100% serious. Ron is all of those things

Please bare with me. I can explain

Ron the Genius

Now throughout the show Ron doesnt really make much of an effort to do his homework. usually settling for a passing grade. While Kim, his best friend and the star of the show is constantly getting A's and showing her intelligence on the regular. At first glance it is very hard to see oneself think that Ron is smart, ESPECIALLY compared to the intellect of others in the show, Like Wade, Tim and Jim,Dr.Possible (Both her parents), the super scientists they have helped or fought. But Ron is actually pretty smart.

Ron's intellect shines when he takes an interest in something. Like cooking, able to easily ace Home Economics, create the Naco (Ron received a $99 million royalty payment on the further sales of the Naco up to that point in time "Ron Millionaire" ) A testament to his cooking genius. Figure out Niche connections that Kim had overlooked.

Ron's most impressive intellectual feet was actually when he was pretending to be a genius (Naked Genius). Rufus had snuck into Drakken's brain gain helmet and became super smart. So Ron had Rufus do his home work, and the result was having people shocked by how brilliant he is. Resulting in Shego and Drakken kidnapping him to make a doomsday device. Which he actually manages to create!

And after that, he was able to complete his math homework with ease, even earning an A on the next assignment.

But for those of you who think thats a fluke. Allow me to introduce, evil ron

After getting his good swapped with Drakken's evil due to a faulty invention gone wrong at Villain con (Episode Badboy). Ron becomes a super villain. Able to create SEVERAL evil weapons of destruction. Creating schemes to COUNTER Kim's approaching his Lair and even stall Kim for long periods of time to prepare for his True evil plan. He created a plasma catapult, a weather generator, and several gadgets that helped him keep Shego in line. (He was so smart and evil he MADE SHEGO INTIMIDATED).

Ron is often inhibited by his self doubt and laziness. Often feeling that the world around him is so vast that it is not worth the effort to try, but when push comes to shove, Ron is smart enough to rival intellects that surround him. He just needs to have a bit more confidence.

Ron the Athlete

Ron is typically portrayed as clumsy and lacking in bravery. He tends to "trip over his own feet" in most episodes, often in comical or socially embarrassing ways, and during missions it is common for him to comically fail to do something that Kim has done flawlessly—for example, he might ski backward down a mountain and collide with a tree just after Kim has successfully navigated the slope. He also loses his pants often on missions.

But in truth, we as the viewer fail to realize how impressive Ron is. Sure he will accidentally do some insane feat in extreme sports but its seen as a fluke. But we dont actually understand how athletic Ron is until the movie "A Sitch in Time". Where Ron is half way around the world and has trouble meeting Kim for Missions. So Kim's solution, have Monique help her out. And Monique is a pretty typical teen, seems decently in shape, and strong willed. It would make sense that she could be a possible replacement.

WELL THAT IMMEDIATELY BACK FIRES. Its revealed that Monique is WAY OUT of her depth, she comments that maybe after 10 years of training would she be ready to take on another mission like this. Which really puts into perspective how impressive it is that Ron is able to keep up with Kim in most situations. Ignoring the comedic relief.

But another clear example of his athleticism is his ability to run. While initially using a super suit to make the football team and become the QB, (in season 4). Ron eventually lost the suit and had to play the game with his own skill, and he won the game by Running so much he out ran everyone on the opposite team to the point of exhaustion and scored a touch down. Becoming the team’s Running back instead. While played for laughs as this was because he is so used to running for his life, it is still should be noted that he ran fast, and dealt with very athletic individuals.

He also is shown to have incredible reflexes, avoiding traps and danger through dance and rather amazing feats of physical prowess. (And this is without mystical monkey power)

There is more to it but Ron is a surprisingly good athlete, and probably one of the few people that could keep up with Kim. Making him such a reliable side kick.

Ron the Smooth Player

But in all seriousness, Ron's luck with girls is actually not that bad. He had girls take interest in him through out the series. His first crush being Amelia (an attractive upper classman that developed a thing for him when he got a new haircut “The New Ron”. And flirted with her with some success in "Ron Millionaire"

Then there was Tara, a Cheerleader that showed Ron interest for sometime. Such as in "Sink or Swim" when the cheersquad was trapped in Camp Wanaweep

Even using terms he used at times. like "Badical"

Though Ron never did catch on that She was into him and she ended up dating Josh who was Kim's former lover interest.

Next there was Zita Flores

The ticket girl at the theater Kim and Ron often went to. And was Ron's love interest for most of season 2. Ron managed to win her over and even dated her for a bit, tried to impress her by playing a game that she and her friends played. But unfortunately it sort of fizzled because they both didnt really agree on what was considered a date.

And next up we have Yori

(I had a crush on Yori as a kid, so I am including her image solely for that)

Meeting Ron when he was part of the student exchange program, for the Yamanouchi Ninja School. n the episode "Exchange", Ron shows repeated interest in Yori. He was having trouble fitting in yet she was kind and helped him out every step of the way. Ron proves himself when he helps save the school and Yori believes in his abilities. Though Ron like with other girls failed to see that Yori "Liked him liked him" until their second meeting.

Though the third time they met Ron and Kim were and Item and Yori was cool with it. Which is nice to see they are gone good terms

Bonnie was on the list but it wasnt because of liking Ron it was more about liking either his Money (Ron Millionaire) or His popularity in "Homecoming Upset"

But interestingly most of these relationships, Ron is not trying to be someone he isnt (except Bonnie). And he is winning these girls over. Showing he has some sort of charisma. But for main proof, lets look at the main Relationship we are here for, his one with Kim.

This right here is proof that the boy has some sort of charm. Sure they had been friends for years and it had been slowly building up to the point when they FINALLY admit it. Sure the guy that Kim Fell for in So the Drama was basically just a calmer and more Confident version of Ron but actually an evil robot.

But the beauty is the relationship itself. Ron goes to such lengths to show Kim how much he cares and is willing to do anything for her. Fearing she would dump him because its senior year and Cheerleaders only date jocks/Popular stars. Boy joins the football team. Kim wants to go on more romantic dates, boy gets a job to pay for it. Ron also shows to be encouraging and while a bit of a worrywart is great for Kim.

So in conclusion Ron can be smooth... in his nerdy true to himself way

Ron the Fighter

So did I mention he has mystical monkey power?

During the Season 1 episode "Monkey Fist Strikes", Ron was exposed to ancient magical energy from four jade monkey statues which imbued him with "Mystical Monkey Powers", including an instinctive knowledge of the martial art of "Tai Sheng Pek Kwar" (大圣劈挂, translates to "The big saint divides hangs") as well as superhuman speed and strength. Though after the episode its believed to have been lost.

Until the Episode "Exchange" in which has him at the Ninja school. He gets some training. Allowing him to learn how to fight better. Even letting him tap into the martial art he thought he lost access to. He was able to wield the Lotus Blade and Beat Fukushima (a talented student and traitor of the school)

Ron may not always fight in the show but when he does, he unveils his true ability. One example is during the Movie a sitch in time. When he found out Shego had basically ruined Bueno Nacho and seperated Kim and Him by sending him to norway. In his rage he flipped an incredibly buff and genetically enhanced Drakken with one move and destroyed the Time monkey, thus saving the world.

Ron also showed that when turned evil he is actually a very vicious fighter (his reluctance and more timid nature removed) he easily bested well over 30 super hero clones in seconds, and was agile enough to out match a super strong Hego.

Ron in the finale "Graduation" shows his greatest feats of fighting, besting the super strong alien invaders (see picture above), then proceeding to go super saiyan blue.

And he threw the two aliens into orbit into their crashing space ship presumably ending them. (I am not kidding its right here)

Ron is an absolute fighting badass, only held back by his self esteem. But at this point, I think he really is unstoppable

Ron the Secret Badass

All that aside, sure there is the monkey kung fu, the bouts of brilliance or even the impressive game. Ron was basically a normal guy flung into a world of crazy super powerful people and because he wanted to keep close to his best friend managed to climb insurmountable odds and become someone spectacular.

Ron may not think much of his abilities but he really is Unstoppable

Okay, when I tell you how much I love that Lewis Nixon married a Japanese-American lady after the war and they didn’t have any children and just traveled the world together living off his families’ riches... so good. 

Also, every time I hear more and more about Grace Nixon, I can see if Nix was half the person he was as portrayed as in the Band of Brothers miniseries, I see why her and Nix would get along so well (And why she was basically able to get a lifelong alcoholic who couldn’t get two marriages to work to straighten up, how she was able to manage to live through a literal internment camp, where she literally did the jitterbug and said she was lucky because her internment camp came with “cute boys,” and then how she joined up as a nurse to serve her country and prove her loyalty even though she was going to be a professional cellist in order to escape the camp). 

Like, she’s literally my favourite person in this narrative.

And if this doesn’t convince you, I found her obituary and the fact that this was in her obituary, A LEGEND:

“In 1956, Grace married Lewis Nixon. In marriage, Grace and Lewis had a wonderful, loving life. They happily travelled the world, listened to music, supported charitable causes, and raised pets—among them Anubis the cat, Nicholas the one-eyed dog, and Peter the rabbit—as well as feeding a neighborhood family of raccoons and the annually migrating Mr. and Mrs. Duck. Grace and Lewis often spent time with their nieces and nephews, teaching them cards and backgammon and playing for keeps over the children’s allowance money.”

First off, MR. AND MRS DUCK.

Secondly, TEACHING CHILDREN GAMBLING AND FUCKING PLAYING FOR KEEPS FOR ALL THEIR ALLOWANCE MONEY IM SCREAMING THATS SUCH A NIX THING

(Also this is on top of the footage of her behind the scenes with Ron Livingston who played Lewis Nixon in Band of Brothers, and Grace flat out saying he was much more handsome than her husband, Ron Livingston trying to defer and be gracious, and be like, “No, no, THIS guy was the handsome one,” and Grace basically being like LOL NO I KNOW MY HUSBAND AND YOU’RE HOTTER THAN HE EVER WAS. A QUEEN.)

Yes, Scientology is an evil cult that ruins people’s lives, yes, he spent a lifetime as a con-man and pathological liar, but I feel this should be said: L. Ron Hubbard was not just a good writer, but a great writer, even in the context of the Golden Age, which had no shortage of them, and he was a popular one as well, regularly topping reader polls in Unknown and Astounding.

His contemporaries, like Asimov and L. Sprague de Camp, were in awe of him (at least until things started to get weird with Dianetics). He was the first major writer of scifi to prioritize characterization over a science fiction idea, to write stories that dealt with neurosis and everyman protagonists over adventure stories where an engineer solves a problem, and because of that, his 1930s-40s work has aged so much better than nearly everyone else from that time. 

His best work, in my opinion, was not his scifi but his fantasy/horror, published mainly in John W. Campbell’s Unknown, a magazine he created for horror and fantasy (the two were, really, one genre until the 1960s, like twins conjoined at birth, there was scifi and then there was everything else, witch’s brews and dragons). They include Slaves of Sleep, which starts with a millionaire in modern times who was cursed by an Ifrit inside an artifact he finds, so that every time he goes to sleep, he wakes up in an Arabian Nights realm ruled by an evil genie queen, and whenever he wakes up, he vanishes from that world back into ours, and it’s unclear which is the dream and which is reality. This was a major theme of Heinlein’s work, the blurring between reality and fantasy in a story to the point where it was unclear which is which. He wrote two other fantasy novels with a similar theme: Typewriter in the Sky, which starts as a traditional pirate adventure story, but then there is a sound of a typewriter clacking in the sky, and then everything in the story is rearranged. 

The most fascinating work of Hubbard’s fantasy/horror, and the one with the best insight into his psyche, is Fear, a psychological thriller where a man is visited by demons and ghouls after mocking black magic, and it’s not clear if he’s hallucinating them or if he is going insane, and both possibilities are equally horrifying. There’s no Soldier of the Mist (or Gene Wolfe in general) without Fear. The reason this story is the most fascinating insight into Hubbard as a man is because I actually suspect that L. Ron Hubbard, who wrote about the blurring between fantasy and reality, and had a tendency to write nervous, unheroic, nebbish main characters, may not have been a complete scammer. I think he was the kind of scammer that believed his own bullshit and got high on his own supply, a pusher and user simultaneously. This reminds me of stories Scientology insiders tell where he would have auditing session after auditing session when he felt tormented, something it’s hard to imagine a completely cynical fraudster would do.

In The Unknown Terror, a millionaire (John Howard) leads a remote jungle expedition to find the legendary “Cave of the Dead” where his wife’s (Mala Powers) brother had disappeared long ago. Instead, they stumble upon a mad doctor who has created a horde of foam-spewing, fungus-covered monster-men. In The Colossus of New York, when a brilliant scientist (Ross Martin) is accidentally killed, his preserved brain is transferred to the body of a giant robot so that it can continue to serve mankind. But when it gains awareness of its own hideousness, this steel colossus embarks on a rampage of destruction. In Destination Inner Space, when an object of unknown origin is detected in the area of an underwater laboratory, scientists investigate and come face to face with the object—an extraterrestrial saucer! They board the craft and discover a mysterious cylinder, which they take back to the lab for closer inspection. It is then that events take a monstrous turn!

Alright, someone needs to issue a definitive ruling on what The Naco actually is. Ron Stoppable's invention debuts in "Bueno Nacho" and eventually makes him a millionaire. He describes it as "taco meets nacho" and he clearly invents it by wrapping an order of nachos in a giant tortilla.

Bueno Nacho adds it to the menu at some point and the recipe is modified a bit (lettuce and tomato were not part of the original creation). The real question is how to approximate the food that was clearly not meant for actual human consumption in real life.

Fun fact, while recipes would make sense as a "useful article" and therefore should be protected by patent law, they aren't considered novel and have to be protected by copyright or trade secret law. That actually benefits Ron, who I am sure never registered with the Patent and Trademark Office.

Babish had to try it twice (first here and then here). He had to redo it because he didn't include bright yellow queso or ground beef . . . and I think that's right. Both are things integral to the platonic ideal of a Naco.

Will Friedle and Christy Carlson Romano made Nacos together too. I think they basically get pretty close. Theirs are shaped like tacos and not dripping, but close.

I think if you're actually trying to capture what eating a Naco is about (based on the show), there are a few notes you have to hit:

It needs to crunch when you eat it.

It needs to be basically dripping with grease and cheese.

It somewhat needs to be shaped like a bindle.

All that said, I do think there is a Naco approximation readily available for anyone -- and that's the Crunchwrap at Taco Bell. Though not shaped like a bowl, it's basically taco filling in a tortilla with a tostada for the crunch.

Additional Fun Fact: Taco Bell used to have menu items that people approximated even closer to the Naco that were discontinued.

The thing Ron makes just isn't wieldy enough, tasty enough, or worth it to attempt to try and make an approximation of it in real life. So make a Crunchwrap instead, use Joshua Weissman's recipe (don't waste any of your life eating at an actual Taco Bell), and replace the tostada with tortilla chips, because who has the time?

Why does she stay?

Meta incoming. There have been fanfic written on the topic, and boy am I inclined to write one myself... But the question that has been brought, is: why does Shego stay with Drakken when he never succeeds?

She has the mercenary skills to work anywhere and for anyone, clearly, but chooses Drakken.

She already has money ("Ron Millionaire") and can get money without help ("Clean Slate") so she's not with Drakken for the cash.

She loves destruction and chaos ("Car Alarm") and is most excited by the chance for violence, especially against Kim (see: any episode in which she fights Kim; "Ron Millionaire" in which she attacks Kim and Ron with a giant laser canon, damaging the lair; tries to kill Kim with a giant blender in "Two to Tutor") and despite those opportunities to work with others who might offer her more money and security like Junior ("Two to Tutor, "The Big Job") or more destruction (Motor Ed, ("Car Alarm") she goes back to Drakken.

Her solo attempts are short-lived and massively halfhearted (the end of "Cap'n Drakken" or the end of "Go Team Go") and when Drakken works with others, she's jealous and/or bored/annoyed, yet she sticks with the plan ("Mad Dogs and Aliens," "Partners," "The Mentor of Our Discontent," "Car Trouble," "Steal Wheels," "Odds Man In"). She sticks awfully close to Drakken and keeps an eye on him and these other partners in crime when he chooses to work with them, and she's paying more attention in these scenarios than her typical lazy level of participation. Usually she only gets excited/energized when it's time to fight/cause some destruction, but in these episodes she's more aware of what's going on, OR displaying jealousy/annoyance. It's quite clear she doesn't want Drakken working with anyone else, but she's the side-kick so doesn't interfere. Not much at least... And not until her very position is threatened by Warmonga, does she finally come in and actively interfere. But she's completely and totally okay being the side-kick!

She has little drive to enact plans herself; she's lazy and prefers to relax and take it easy (see: all episodes where she's lying around tanning, filing her nails, reading magazines, or going on vacation). Her typical approach to plans is to laze around and offer sarcastic quips with the occasional helpful comment until there is evil to be done.

So to recap...why does she stay? Not money. Not evil opportunity. Not position or rank.

She saves Drakken in countless other episodes at risk to her own safety. Well, that's her job you say? Yes, however.... She comes to Drakken's rescue off the clock in "A Very Possible Christmas" and, at threat to her own life, does the same in "Graduation." In "Clean Slate" she bails out of annoyance when she sees the plan will fail, but comes right back to Drakken at the end of it. But "Graduation" is most telling... If there was ever a time for her to bail, that's it. But she chooses to go after Drakken and even seeks out help to do so, taking extreme personal risk.

So, why does she stay?

Because she wants to. She LIKES working with Drakken. It's as he said, they are an evil family. Whether you ship them as a couple or not...they're the evil version of Kim and Ron; they're the lifelong friends/old married couple. However you want to describe it, they're the villain parallel to the heroes. And not just because the writers want a parallel. Drakken's and Shego's relationship was allowed to evolve onscreen as much as Kim's and Ron's was, and who we see them as is who they are.

It is clear beyond doubt, that Shego is with Drakken because she wants to be. No one is forcing her, and she's not there begrudgingly or because there is no better option to meet her wants and needs.

She wants to be with Drakken. That's why she stays.

"Capitalism loves Trans People" If you are Transphobic. You are siding with Capitalism. Why are the most Rightwing Figures Anti-Trans, yet Pro-Capitalism? Why is Donald Trump, Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ron DeSantis, even more moderate/establishment Republicans like McConnell all Anti-Trans. Yet they profess undying love to Capitalism. Yet they demonize Socialism and Communism. Communists Scholars and Leaders warn you about Reactionaries. And Anti-Trans is a reactionary position. It looks at progress being made for a Minority, and seeks to undo that progress and harm that vulnerable group of people. If you think Democrats/Liberals love Trans People as much as they love Capitalism. We have a Dem President in the USA. And we have hundreds of Anti-Trans legislation going into affect across the country. And where's the Democrats coming to help? They are just standing by useless as ever. But they still have the power to break a Strike. If you think Corporations love Trans People. Then understand any benefits Trans People get are conditional. Corporations exploit Trans People, just as much as any worker or minority. We've seen corporations willing to restrict Trans People's right to Healthcare, if those Trans People aid in Unionization. It is true some Corporations love the appearance of being progressive. But this does not stop at them including Trans Folks. But also Muslims, Black Folks, Indigenous Folks, Latino Folks, Gay Folks, etc. Does this mean these Corporations love these groups? I think you would have to be a Child to believe this is the case. Does Amazon love all these groups, as they exploit their workers? Many of these workers being Muslims, Black Folks, Indigenous Folks, Latino Folks, Gay Folks, and yes, even Trans Folks. It is genuinely silly for "Communists" to say being against Trans People is being against the bourgeoisie. When you are all repeating Fox News talking points. Fox News being a reactionary bourgeoisie program where a millionaire and product of nepotism goes on air and screams about minorities (whether those minorities being trans, exploited migrants, or muslims). Communists need to stand with Trans People. Communists embracing Reactionary Positions and Politics, will doom any and all momentum Communist Movements have. Communists have screwed themselves over before for not embracing Civil Rights, Gay Rights, etc. And Communists especially screwed themselves over in the West over these issues, when they had opportunities to use these issues to help Minorities but to also help their Movements grow. You either stand with Trans People or with the Reactionaries. I know who I am going to protect, uplift, support, and help.
