On 5/8/1973, Legendary soccer (yes, we know most of the world calls it football) superstar Pelé (born Edson Arantes do Nascimento) and his wife Rosemeri dos Reis Cholbi visited President Nixon in the Oval Office. cirilla was born to the renowned damocles belby and his wife rosemeri figarello seven years before he would create the wolfsbane potion . his potion , while a godsend to lycans abound wasn't created by sheer good will . see , cirilla has an older sister , sierra , and when she was nine and ciri five cirilla was attacked by a werewolf near the belby estate after she had snuck out at night to catch fireflies . the attack left sierra extremely scarred and since she survived the attack , a werewolf . ciri was too young at the time to know what was going on with her sister , only that there were certain days that sierra would have to go downstairs to the cellar and not be seen again until the next day .

unbeknownst to cirilla , her father , damocles , was creating a potion . his aim was to find a cure for lycanthropy , to give his daughter back a normal life , but his efforts failed . there was no magic powerful enough to do that -- but perhaps there was magic that could help in some way . sierra told her father how she wished she could keep her mind when she turned , and that's when an idea struck him . he could help the werewolves keep their human facilities . prevent the animal from taking control and causing destruction

and with that he succeeded . he created the wolfsbane potion after two long years , his own daughter his willing test subject . as hard as that might be to understand , they had little choice . when he was sure of his creation and the potions success he announced it to the world , setting his name in the history of the wizarding world and giving his daughter something to ease her fears . as ciri grew up she and her sister became very close , and despite her being younger , it was always end up being ciri who stepped in to defend her sister from those who would say hurtful things about her condition . she felt sorrow for her older sister who would wander the estate's grounds on the night of the full moon , alone but with her human mind . how hard that must've been for her . so ciri wanted to do something about that .

with her father's blessing and assistance , she began the process to becoming an animagus so that she could accompany her sister on the nights of the full moon . it was a long process , tiring , and she nearly gave up a few times but she did it . at the age of fourteen she became an animagus . a remarkable feet , but what was even more remarkable was her form . her animagus took on the form of a bear , a fully sized , american brown bear . bigger than she was in her human appearance . for the years in which ciri attended hogwarts alongside her sister she would be with her on the nights of the full moon , keeping her company and keeping to the safe parts of the forbidden forest .

it wasn't much of a surprise that cirilla was sorted into ravenclaw , what was surprising was her interest in and talent for quidditch . she didn't come from a sporty family , and had never shown much interest in it until she arrived there . but she was determined to join the team her second year , as it was full in her first . ciri was incredibly nimble and quick on the broom , her small stature allowing her to remain unseen for just fleeting moments --- but long enough to catch sight of the snitch and grasp it .

she's a member of the potions club as she inherited her father's skills to potion craft , she often makes wolfsbane potions and sends them home to her sister who graduated hogwarts last year . she knows that there's already plenty available to her but she wants to feel helpful .
