hey, i’m karl crocker. i’m looking for really anyone from my timeline. my memories are currently as follows:

alex and i were best friends. i had a crush on him, but didn’t say anything about it.

i was REALLY obsessed with being “normal”. like, i needed the white picket fences and to seem like your average joe, even though i really wasn’t. once we met, i envied jake for actually getting to be just some guy.

the trolls actually had access to both the beta and alpha kids, but it was split on who had access to who. callie, jaynes, deeruk, dayveh, johnny, and roseta had access to the alpha session, and tavros, gamzee, kanaya, equius, aradia, and feferi had access to the beta session.

i became close to johnny, because i thought he was a human, a human who survived somehow. of course when we met in the new session, i freaked out on him. it was enough to make him think i was pitch flirting with him, and i think kanaya had to step in to keep me from actually attacking him.

the batterwitch, roseta’s ancestor, still existed, but i’m fairly certain she was a condesce-swapped mindfang? when i found out, it made me freak out even more. alex chose the worst time to tell me, when i was already freaking out about johnny being an alien.

gamzee ended up raising eridanus and nepetala. eridanus had a grudge against him for a while, but ended up understanding that gamzee didn’t really have much of a choice but to leave them, for timeline reasons.

Enquanto as raízes cresciam e se estendiam sob seu comando, o mundo ao seu redor desaparecia. O murmúrio do vento nas folhas, o canto suave dos pássaros e o cheiro da terra fresca se misturavam em uma sinfonia mágica. Estava imersa em um estado de quase transe, em que nada mais importava além da dança das raízes que obedeciam à sua vontade. Rosetta adorava a sensação de mergulhar profundamente em sua magia. Sentiu-se triste ao ver aqueles pequenos brotos tão abatidos, com quase nenhuma possibilidade de desabrochar, não poderia deixá-los assim. Assim, foi como se suas próprias energias permanecessem se fundindo com a energia da terra. Era um momento de pura harmonia, no qual ela podia sentir o pulsar da vida em cada planta, em cada raiz que emergia do solo. Mas ela não estava em casa e se perder na magia não era algo tão simples e, até mesmo, seguro para aqueles ao seu redor. O som alto de um corpo indo em direção ao chão fez Rosetta acordar e ver que, talvez, tenha exagerado um pouco no tamanho do pequeno jardim. Quando voltou seus olhos para a figura na chão, uma uma jovem, nitidamente irritada, presa às suas raízes. - Meu pozinho mágico, me desculpa! - estendeu as mãos, agora em direção a garota, tirando aos poucos as raízes completamente enroscado em suas pernas. - Eu não vi que tinha mais alguém aqui - um riso constrangido escapou de sua boca, evidenciando ainda mais as bochechas pintadas de rubro pela vergolha - Sabe como é às vezes elas saem sozinhas por aí pra explorar um pouco… Me desculpa...

Why do you focus on 5e? Obviously your content can be used in any other rpg that can accomdate a fantasy setting but it's very clear you don't like 5e all that much, considering the amount of patches you make to fix flaws in its design?

Friend, I think you've misunderstood me: I love 5th edition, I love it the way nerds love objectively kinda bad genre shows or middleaged men love broken down sportscars that remind them of their fathers. Love in this instance manifests as a desire to improve, to iterate, to imagine a less flawed version of the thing and through my efforts bring that version into being.

5e is flawed, but it's flawed in JUST the right way for my brain to start surging with ideas about how it could be better, which helps me learn to be a better game designer/modder as I test out how those ideas could be implemented or improved upon. There's a baseline level of stuff I like for d&d (how adaptable it is, how easy it is to onboard new players, the particular level of mechanical crunch) that the otherwise flawed system makes a great canvas to work with.

What you might've caught wind of is my vendetta against Wizards of the Coast and their Hasbro overseers; if I could I'd crash into their studio, plunder the IP from their vaults, and run off into the night making feral goblin noises. My ire particularly focuses on the fact that in trying to produce a market focused product that appeals to everyone they refuse to actually make anything of substance, leading to the marvel-ification of my favourite game.

5e is the system that feels the closest to the ideal game of d&d I've been chasing for two decades, and when something comes along that better fits that ideal you can bet I'll jump to that. I'm really excited about the OGL crisis spawned games (daggerheart, mcdmrpg, tales of the valiant) and I look forward to seeing what direction they take the TTRPG space. If I don't end up preferring any of them, I'll likely end up up using 5e as a roseta stone to translate good game design ideas between them.

hello cici ! i saw that requests are open! i hope you enjoyed your holiday :)) may i request a steven grant x reader in which she goes to the museum and sees the tour guide flirting with steven (not knowing (or knowing. hell, why not) that he’s in a committed relationship with you) and he defends y’all’s relationship and it can be fluffy or maybe even smutty if you wanna feed off of the readers jealousy? thank youuuuuu

Museum tour guide doesn't know he has a girlfriend, and is subtly flirting with him.

She's talking to him about how they're thinking of restoring the Roseta stone (because this woman knows that's the way to peak this man's interest) she's batting her eyelashes at him and asking if he wants to come by after opening hours to watch, and Steven is just so excited and starts going off on a tangent listing up all the artefacts that has been listed for the latest auction at Somersby that he still wants to see/hope they can get.

When he doesn't seem to get the hint, she ups the ante, touching his wrist when she speaks and then rests her palm on his chest. At first Steven being Steven, clueless and sweet, thinks: oh, maybe her balance is off? maybe she needs someone to hold onto.

So he doesn't pay it any attention and keeps prattling on. Until finally the poor woman asks when he gets off today and if he wants to grab a drink. Steven (still clueless as always) thinks it's a co-worker hang out thing and goes: sure! Let me grab J.B! (the security guard). Do we invite Donna too? I'd rather not in all honesty.

And the now exasperated woman has to shake her head and go: "No, Steven, just us."

And at this point, Jake is laughing his ass off in the mindspace and finally has to let him in on it. "Sunshine, she's flirting with you."

Watch Steven flush into bright red at the realization. Before he stiffens up awkwardly and then grab his phone and pull up a photo album named after you, and starts flicking through photo after photo of you and awkwardly tries to explain that he has a girlfriend and starts talking about you endlessly.
