Oh, I'm so glad you asked!!! I love the villains sooo much that I'm making an Ask blog revolving around them opening a bar lmao. I'm happy to see others who are invested.

Headcanons

Repo Mantis

I feel he was the first to be mutated with normal he acts like he gives no shit he's a mutant and we see him deal with humans. In my AU it's due to the fact he was mutated years before ROTTMNTs start. I mean he is not weirded out by the boys, he clearly knows Yokai exists. I have it set so he started doing work in the Hidden City and Draxum saw a nice unmutated human to experiment on and bam mantis man.

Repos trans too, idk man he's my favorite outside of Todd and you know? He's like me frfr. Repo def doesn't strike me as a top surgery guy, but also I feel his mutation helped his dysphoria a LOT because like I mean I've felt that.

Man is also very obsessed with his hair, and uses a lot of products. Doesn't care he's greying but he DOES care how healthy it is.

Repo can and will do drag. (Warren helps with his makeup and wig due to his claws getting in the way)

Hypno

Here's a lil angst one.

Hypno doesn't realize he fused with Doug. I can't remember the episode name, but it's the one in the botanical gardens where we get the flower mutant. We see that humans can literally be fused with plant life and possibly animal life. Also since we know Hypno wants to bring Doug back to life, hes passed away. Given that Doug was Hypnos hippo, and was most likely with him when he was bit, he doesn't realize he's been fused with his buddy.

He just knows his buddy is gone and he'll never see him again. That or he fully knows but is in denial. Warren buys him merch based on Doug as a way to make him feel better, since he's not the greatest at comforting people.

Hypno doesn't really have a label. He knows he's queer but doesn't care to label himself. He likes who he likes, and that's all that matters.

Hypno does drag a lot!!!! He LOVES doing drag! It's fun for him, and how he expresses himself!

A lil senario thing

Imagine that Repo was actually a fan of Warren Stone as an anchorman, imagine he enjoyed his jokes and commentary. Repos devastated he went missing, and genuinely invested in keeping up with anyone trying to find him. When he discovers his favorite anchors alive and not dead he's thrilled.

Due to the fact we know everyone Warren knew pre-mutation abandoned him he doesn't trust Repo, not at first. After all Hypnos is the only one who takes him seriously or seems to give a shit about him especially after he bungled everything with April. (He feels guilty about that gauntlet situation I will die on this hill.) So naturally he doesn't believe Repo at first. Repos pretty hurt, but man he gets it. These changes are big but he promises he's a fan and even knows other fans too.

Repo ends up taking Warren and Hypno to meet the others, sure they met when Draxum "hired" them but it was just a job and they didn't really to much time to talk after they got into action. I like to think Warrens was genuinely touched to see he has a fan base. I'm fully convinced post Warren and Hypno Sitting in a Tree Todd got Warrent a job as a Hidden City news anchor. Sure it's not what he had, but it IS something, and these yokai? They love him even if he's a worm-

I want to make an angsty ROTTMNT fanfic where it takes parts of the show seriously.

But not like a usual post-movie fic where the brothers express (or don’t) their trauma, or in general a fic putting the boys in whumpy situations.

No, I want to talk about Jupiter Jim fans being horrified when they see the reports about the people their favourite actor kidnapped and trapped in a twisted museum for who knows how long, and who only escaped thanks to the turtles. Fans feeling that crushing despair over finding out that your idol / parasocial father figure did something horrible, something that is surely a major crime.

I want to talk about Repo Mantis and his cat, his beloved pet that is the only soft spot he allows himself to have in his tough-as-nails line of work. The only living thing he can’t ignore the suffering of when money’s involved. Having to lock her in a cage because she got mutated (and in an indirect way, because of him) and now wants to eat him. Imagine that? Your pet suddenly turning into a monster and there’s nothing you can do about it except keep them away. Maybe even, him in an alternate universe deciding to get the cure (and revenge) from Draxum, knowing he doesn’t stand a chance against that Warring Warrior Scientist with no gifted powers and not even any hands.

I want to talk about Meat Sweats running away from the video station, from the crazy hog people who tried to eat him (and up until now he could ignore that he was in fact food in a way, he could ignore his mutation when he cooked pork for himself alone) who he only escaped from because his monstrous form could overpower the group. Thinking about how he had almost managed to get his life back, but ended up reliving the worst night in his life by being transformed live on stage after he’d almost convinced the audience everything was fine. Maybe, him finding Warren Stone, and the two of them have a conversation about the specific sucky situation of being famous but having everything (your source of income, the love of your fans, even your body) ripped away from you thanks to five teenagers and their associates. You know, there’s another person who could relate to that... except he knows and acknowledges who was really to blame for the rampant oozing, and has more love in his heart than hate.

I doubt anyone would read these, but they sit irremovable in my head like Splinter watching Scorpion Treadmill, and I wanted to share at least the idea with some of you. I can’t be the only one who obsesses about minor characters and non-lore episodes in this show in this way.

How aware do you all think the villains are of the Turtles’ age? Like Warren Stone, Hypno, Repomantis, etc. Of course Draxum knew but the others never really got an intro did they? Like they were all humans who just suddenly got thrown into this mutant/yokai world and they start brawling with these turtle ninjas that just kinda appear. But they don’t know they are just kids, right?

Do you think there is ever a moment of dawning horror? And do you think it would be like ‘omg these annoying ninjas that have been defeating me every time are kids?! Seriously?!!’ Or would it be more like, “ohmygod I’ve been attacking and trying to kill literal children?!’

I like to imagine that once they find out they go from ‘I’m trying to destroy you!’ To ‘you are the obnoxious neighbor kids that keep running through my yard’

For your grandpa Draxum AU it would be interesting if Casey Jr being sent back 2 years before the apocalypse started, caused more butterfly effects than Jr would ever be able to comprehend.

Off the top of my head, what if Casey going to repo mantis’s yard for scraps and materials for his builds causes Repo’s pet cat to be mutated first. So instead of Repo having a monster for a pet, he gets a cat for a kid.

Casey who had never met or been told about Mrs. Nubbins sees this and thinks that his makeshift uncle had lost his daughter towards the beginning of the apocalypse.

How well would he respond to that

(For those who need context on the au)

This is the perfect opportunity to push my “Repo Mantis’s a regular yokai” agenda. As far as I remember we don’t see any proof of Repo Mantis pre-mutation, so my sister and me joke that he’s just a yokai who lives on the surface, that just hasn’t bothered on correcting anyone who assumes he’s mutant.

Casey Jr accidentally changing the timeline is a constant in this au (some seeds of that have already been placed in my other posts).

For Mrs.Nubbins to be mutated in to a human-car thing, she’d have to have consumed human is some way. So here’s my explanation: Casey Jr while digging for scraps gets bit by Mrs.Nubbins, Jr didn’t see what bite him but starts to panic. In the apocalypse the thing most likely to bite you would have been the Kraang Hounds so Casey Jr immediately leaves back to the lair to disinfect the bite out of a panicked habit.

As for Repo, he would question everything he knew if one day he saw his cat was now a kid. Cause he’s pretty sure he knows how kids are made, but now he’s beginning to have doubts. The stork stories might have some truth to them after all. He kinda accepts it, it’s still Mrs.Nubbins after all. Plus she’s adorable and could make costumers easier to deal with. You wouldn’t yell at someone about their business being a scam if they’re child’s right next to them would you?

There’s a show on TV called “Rico to the Rescue” who’s this repair guy fixing botched houses.

My brain immediately went “Repo to the Rescue” but it’s a show where Repo ‘says’ he’s gonna fix cars but either makes them worse or repos them.

And the Mad Dogz are gathered around the TV like, “Man, what kind of chump would fall for this??”
