Introduction.

Welcome to the Hannibal Project, the result of a fan who really isn't over the show and (to quote Shopenhauer) who's pendulum swings between misery and boredom at a worryingly violent pace.

I'll be making a different post talking about my starting plot idea that we can all work with and change but one thing certain is that there will be heavy influences from the book following Red Dragon, "The Silence of The Lambs", of course we'll revisit the work together to make it fit the show's already established show lore, just like Bryan Fuller did back then with Red Dragon.

We're probably also gonna need original characters, and if somebody wants to join as a reader, give advices without roleplaying we'll be happy to have you!

"Castings" will also have a different post, with all the requirements specific for different characters. I don't know if I'll do a casting, maybe a Google doc with writing samples, but I intend to take in everyone, so if you don't get a certain role, I might ask to audition again for some other open roles so that you can still join if you'd like^^

Writing Samples will be posted in case, to welcome the person into the group, I'll myself be posting my entry as Will when I have the time to write it.

Surely I can anticipate some requirements.

Whether it be your OC and Fin's being friends supporting the other's blossoming relationship, or other such things- I just find that kind of link between characters helps make the roleplay more fun!

The RP will always start near the start of the MHA series. I like to RP through the series from the top, in each RP. I also enjoy incorporating each of the movies (as I can) into the RP, depending on how far I get.

Do note that I keep tabs on the timetables of the roleplay. I have my personal headcanons for when things happened (approximately) and some events can be moved around, but I do try to keep tabs on the timeline overall. I am not against meandering and messing around between major events (that's literally the bread and butter of the RP), in fact- I encourage it! Just know that (much like real life) time is a resource.

Note: My timezone is EST! Also, I will not be doing any RPs that are particularly angst-heavy, as that isn't my style. I prefer fluffy (smutty too) romance, but I will do some angst (since fluff and smut cannot exist in a vacuum). If you're here just to torture a couple, please contact someone else, that's not my jam.

Soulmate AU Info

The Soulmate AU I’ve crafted starts with one of the base ideas of a generic Soulmate AU - the first Words your soulmate will ever say to you (if you have any) are written somewhere on your body, in your soulmate’s native language and specific handwriting. These Words are pitch-black until spoken to the target, and once spoken, they will glow- until the target realizes who their Soulmate is. One cannot die until their Words have glowed at least once, so there are some who are incredibly reckless as a result. There are some who wander the world, their Words having been glowing for years- but with no idea as to who their Soulmate is.

The Words begin to feel as though they are burning if a Soulmate is in danger- it can range from a faint uncomfortable sensation to an intense agony, like one is being branded or cut through with a blazing knife (the strength of the burning sensation depends on the danger the Soulmate is in, with life-threatening being the most painful). Any injuries that occur to one’s Soulmate’s Words can be felt by the other person, on their Words. Words are also located in generally the same location, and Soulmates can be polycules or couples, or anything in between- and range from romantic to platonic.

Some actively seek out their Soulmate(s) for the sake of the power boost such a meeting offers. To meet your Soulmate is to have your stats suddenly see an increase- though it isn’t always the best. Heroes have been tied with Civilians. Villains have been tied with Heroes. Soulmates of powerful or important individuals (if an important individual has a Soulmate) have to be careful due to the target on their back, since if your Soulmate dies, so do you. It’s not an immediate death- but within the course of a month, if one’s Soulmate has died… They will wither away as well, the speed at which it occurs depending on their willpower, but none who have Soulmates survive beyond a month after their Soulmate’s death.

Sections of Hero Agencies have been dedicated to protecting Pro Heroes’ Soulmates, and kidnappings have been known to happen when a Villain finds their Soulmate. Civilian pairings are the safest- but by no means happen all the time. Some think the Words are a curse, but there is no way to remove them.

There are also some Quirks that are Soulmate-centric, and thus do not affect those without Soulmates.

Toshinori Yagi has spent years keeping All Might’s Soulmate tie a secret. He made sure his costume’s sleeves were long enough that no one would ever see the two simple Words written there- dodging questions about having a Soulmate every chance he could. He’d never met them, his Words were pitch-black… Two simple Words, in scratchy English: Oh, hi!

He could never let anyone know All Might had a Soulmate. The target that would be painted on such an individual… They would never survive.

Toshinori’s stat increase was that his timer as All Might doubled, and even after episode 49 of the anime/his fight with AfO, he can technically turn into All Might for a few minutes at a time- but his power is still greatly diminished. Diminished far too much for him to continue his work as a Hero, though it does help in split-second circumstances, if he burns through what few minutes he has in a momentary burst of strength.

Fin’s stat increase was a general increase to their strength, speed, and stamina to near superhuman levels- they can lift up to 550lbs after meeting All Might, and run up to 24mph (though it takes a little bit to get to that speed). Their Quirk remained as it was, with no noticeable increase- though at the time that Fin met Yagi, they didn’t know ‘Quirkless’ meant something a little more when it came to them.

Generally, when I RP in this AU, one of my first questions for others about their ships is: What Words they want their ship to have, and where. This helps immensely in setting up the starter.

NOTE: There is an alternate take on the Soulmate AU, which you can add somewhere in one of your early messages as 'Intense Soulmate AU', if you are interested/would prefer this variant. Soulmates (while they still have the Words and the boost and everything of the base AU), upon meeting their other half, are also able to feel a lowered version of their other half's emotions/physical pain from then on, instead of just being limited to feeling a burn when their soulmate is in danger/feeling pain inflicted upon the other half's Words.

Hello there, one and all. I'm not looking to replace anyone; I just want to broaden my plate for RPs. I have had such a bad spider verse brain rot, and I want to RP it some more. I'm looking for some FXF and MXF, maybe MXM too. I RP as near anyone, but I love RPing as Miles or a gender-bent version of him. I like rping as Gwen as well and, most of all, the spider bros. I'd also love to RP as Doc Ock, the female version. She was so damn cool. If I do RP as the younger spiders, they are all going to be aged up. No pedo stuff here, thank you!!

I would love to do an alternate intro for Miles to become Spiderman; maybe he was able to save the original Spiderman from being attacked? Maybe he got his powers but still lost his father to an attack? So much to do with that; I also have an OC I would like to use as well. I love to see other OCs. And as for Female Doc Ock, well, I just don't want her to die; I thought she was way too cool.

About me: I'm 29, you can call me Daz (she/they) and live in the a Central Time zone.

Length requirement: at least one paragraph (5 sentences) per post. Most of my own posts will be around 4ish paragraphs.

Posting requirement: At least once a week. I can either post once every three days or a few times a day depending on my energy and mood.

Writing preferences: I write my posts in third person Ask me as a dm to send a writing sample if you need one. Any triggers can be discussed over pms once we have set up how to communicate.

Communication: I have rped over both Google docs and discord. We will have to set up a chat over discord either way to plot and chat.

Setting preference: I prefer fantasy or historical as a setting because I find researching history for rps fun. I can be convinced to do rps in modern or future settings.

Rating preference: I'm still a bit shy when getting to know new friends so the rps will be SFW. Any sexual scene would fade to black. Once we are good friends we can talk about NSFW stuff if you'd like.

Character preference: All of my own characters will be preexisting. I very rarely create ocs just for an rp. But I don't mind if your oc is new or old. If your own ocs live in a world you worldbuilt I might eventually create ocs for it or make aus for my preexisting ones. All of my ocs are humans/humanoid.

OcXCannon?: As stated above I am more interested in roleplaying my own ocs. I do not mind if my rp partner decides to roleplay a cannon character they are fixating on.

Plot preference: I'm more interested in meeting other creator's ocs first. Seeing who gets along with or hates my own characters. Once we find out who gets along or conflicts with who it'd be easier to come up with more intricate plots. It is easiest for me to write in a romance, horror, buddy comedy genre. Though I can try to write other genres I would probably lean back onto those three.

Bonus for artist rpers: I'm autistic so speaking through drawings is an easy way to get to bond with me quickly. Sending doodles back and forth gets me immersed in the world. Drawing isn't a requirement however, I just thought I'd mention.
