Busan, uma das mais bonitas e movimentadas cidades da Coreia do Sul, com o maior porto do país e conhecida pelas belas praias, montanhas e templos, é o cenário ideal para a Hansei University, uma prestigiada universidade em moldes americanos, fundada em 1986 por Han Yongdae.

Sendo uma Universidade tão recente, a Hansei é baseada em costumes muito diferentes daqueles apresentados por muitas das universidades mais tradicionais da Coreia do Sul. Com um discurso baseado nos ideais de liberdade americanos, as opiniões se dividiam entre aqueles que não gostavam de ver tantos estrangeiros circulando entre o campus e os que achavam que a modernidade oferecida pela instituição não poderia ser mais adequada para o momento.

Como todas as grandes instituições americanas, a universidade também oferece um ótimo programa de intercâmbio, além de receber tanto alunos que podem pagar por sua estrutura de ponta, quanto bolsistas, desde que tenham notas suficientes para passar pelo rigoroso processo que seleciona alunos para bolsas integrais e parciais todos os anos. Além disso, dispõe de uma moradia dentro do campus e as famosas fraternidades e sororidades a la greek life, contando com suas próprias regras, organizações e até disputas internas, por que não? E estando em constante expansão, também oferece uma vasta estrutura para que os alunos possam desenvolver suas habilidades esportivas, caso optem por entrar para os times ou apenas para praticar esportes, culturais, com as companhias de dança, teatro, acapella e orquestra, e também profissionais, já que a Hansei deixa à disposição de todo o corpo docente e discente um programa completo de estágios, contando com suas próprias empresas, centro médico, centro de ensino e editora.

E por fim, é claro que nem tudo são apenas flores. Por trás da fachada de tolerância e liberdade do lema da Hansei, sempre há quem goste de quebrar as regras e causar o caos. Mas se quiser fazer parte disso, não conte a ninguém e lembre-se: Esteja pronto para tudo. A liberdade pode custar caro.

La ponction lombaire

Pas vraiment un prompt, mais un clin d’oeil à un certain Docteur Amir Ramana, rencontré au hasard d’un RP ... bisou @heirsoflilith !

“Blanche préparait son matériel, l’air concentrée. Cela faisait longtemps qu’elle n’avait pas réalisé de ponction lombaire et si ses mains ne tremblaient pas, elle se sentait néanmoins nerveuse. D’autant plus que le patient, lui même stressé, la bombardait de question stupides qui l’empêchaient de réfléchir correctement.

Elle vérifia une nouvelle fois la position de l’homme, palpant la peau pour être bien sûre de ses repères - les crêtes iliaques, l’épine lombaire, l’espace inter épineux… Puis elle attrapa l’aiguille. 

Un visage lui revint en tête, comme à chaque moment identique. Celui d’un jeune médecin d’origine indienne croisé lors d’un séminaire aux Etat-unis. Elle n’oublierais jamais son prénom - Amir - son incroyable regard vert et or, mais surtout son calme olympien.

C’était l’homme le plus patient et le plus doux qu’elle ai jamais rencontré, gardant son calme et son ton mesuré là où même elle perdait le sien. Il lui avait raconté quelque chose, une fois, à propos de Ganesh, le dieu hindou de la sagesse. Cela lui allait bien. 

Elle entendait encore sa voix guider son geste, tandis qu’elle se penchait sur le patient avec l’aiguille, inspira et expira doucement, prenant exemple une nouvelle fois sur ce parangon de douceur et de sûreté.

Elle se demanda fugitivement où il était, ce qu’il faisait, ce qu’il était devenu.

Puis elle appuya la pointe sur la peau. Le patient ne frémit même pas lorsqu’elle enfonça l’aiguille. Elle trouva le trajet sans difficulté, recueillit les quelques gouttes de liquide céphalo rachidien dans un tube à essai. Puis elle retira prestement l’aiguille, pressant une compresse sur la minuscule goutte de sang qui perlait, avant d’appliquer un pansement.

Puis elle examina le liquide à travers la lumière : trouble comme mélangé à du lait. Le diagnostic était sans appel : méningite. Encore une fois, elle ne s’était pas trompée.”

The real Ceci N'est Pas Deep answer? I'm a Luca kinnie and I loved Edgar's design from the moment I fucking saw it, so the only logical result was to ship the fuck out of them.

But I really got hooked on it after joining an RPTwitter community and seeing a few artists post content regarding Edgar and Luca potentially having a past before the manor! That shit's incredibly interesting to me; Emma's one of my favourite characters because of her pre-manor relationships, and Mike & Margaretha intrigue me for the same reason!

Also, I was big on VAL before Edluca, so my first instinct was to just throw this mean little twink into the walking personality disorder that is their relationship. (Officially, I write for platonic VALE, though! qpps? Big time. They balance each other out.)

I'm pretty sure there's no canonical interaction between them, unfortunately. (Ignoring promo art & the Alchemy Essence, ofc. Electrolysis and Golden Ratio definitely interact.)

Holy hell, the last time I posted on this site was October 13, 2014 and the time before that was February 10, 2014. 

A lot has changed about roleplay since I left!

For starters.... when I was around, everyone was on roleplayer.me and had RP Tumblr accounts. APPARENTLY during the last 2 years everyone switched to Tumblr exclusively and then stopped for some reason and went to Askfm and then that got ugly so everyone switched to Twitter. Of all places, Twitter??

I have been back on RP for like 2 weeks now so I feel like I am educated enough about RP Twitter to say that it sucks. Everyone just tweets about stupid shit that no one really cares about (including myself) and there is SO. MUCH. SUBTWEETING. I was told that RP was “past the idea of needing to put each other down” but I really don’t think that is true. RP has just grown a pair and doesn’t need secret sites to make their feelings about people known - which could be a good or bad thing. 

On RP Twitter the idea is ‘Don’t tweet an opinion you think other people might not like because then half of RP will be down your throat calling you names and making fun of you’ and it kind of sucks. I’m not really sure if ‘popularity’ on RP is a factor anymore, as far as I know it’s just the Wantmores and everyone else. ‘Families’ aren’t as prominent as they were in years past and there is a lot more single RPers than in families. Do people even date anymore?? I haven’t really seen any couples. Bummer. I don’t think there are any NEW roleplayers, out of the 300 or so people that get on and participate most of them have been around for years. RP is really dying out. I have seen a lot of people come back but I don’t really expect a lot of people to stick around.

I guess the REAL place where RP is is Skype and who’s got time for that anymore. 🙄
