RSOM cliffhanger ending theory

Okay, so this is entirely based on the ARC reviews I’ve seen floating around on the internet. First of all, some of them mention that there is a reason this book is published after QOAAD. Some also mention that some old characters from other books appear, but that we also meet some characters for the first time chronologically. There was also a review mentioning that the epilogue had something to do with TID, and also one saying that the plot twist at the end is that ‘someone’ is found ‘somewhere’.

This book takes place during CoFA - so I think the person from TID that we see in the epilogue is Brother Zachariah. And, apart from Johnny Rook being one person we see chronologically for the first time, I also have a feeling the epilogue has something to do with Malcolm and The Black Volume. Why? Because I believe Malcolm, as well as The Black Volume, will appear in TLH and CC has to make us buy Chain of Gold - what better way to do that than to feed us some more info about the mystery and leave us hanging until November?
