Last weekend following the recommendation of @hiisihiitola we travelled with @artemyirudnyi to the village Vershinino, located next to Kenozero, in Arhangelskaya oblast in Russia, to learn more about local paganistic traditions in particular connected with earth. We heard about establishing connection with earth through a traditional round dance. I guess, we got lucky again! Ole Jorgen Hammeken and I have become finalists in the #FusionNow Polar Night contest and we are going to the Kola Peninsula in the darkest time of the year. Five artists from five different countries - Australia, Greenland, Japan, Italy and Russia will work in one of the world's northernmost art residencies, trying to see how to make small communities in the Arctic a better place to live.
