The answer. It is one of the ambitions all creatures desire to uncover during the passing of their mortal or immortal years. Mortals tried to find answers on the earth. The other side, the immortals, the undead, knew that one of the purest history ‘books’ to exist is within our blood.

The bloodline is sacred, it could be older than the oldest immortals and reveal truths even the wisest didn’t know, which is why killing the bloodline is the highest punishment one can give.

In the immortal world, also known as the netherworld, there are three powerful households. They carry the oldest lineages and know most of society’s dirt. Therefore, they are feared as much as they are dispised.

Their families have rarely come to a lasting truce, despite many of its younger descendants fighting for the harmony between the three main characters in high society. All of their efforts end up in broken ambitions and cold-hearted socialites.

There is a rumor, however, that this situation is direr than the picture allows the common eye to see. The immortals are running out of magical elements, and therefore an energy source to maintain eternal life. Only the king of the netherworld has sufficient power to revive and create new magical power. But another problem arises with this statement:

Amidst the council of eternity, the head sorcerer, as well as the head of the council, looks around the room. Everyone is in deep thought as to finding a solution for their dying dimension. In the past decades, several members of the council, as well as prime heirs of the three lineages, have been murdered unexpectedly, leaving the council with a handful of members.

The sorcerer sighs, hoping it hadn’t needed to come to a point they had to mess with the universe, but he as always but his people before anything; even at the risk of inter-universal balance. His vice president immediately sits up a little more straight, her eyes wide in shock as she gives the council head a dumb-founded look.

“We cannot mess with time like that!”, and everyone in the room understood what she had read in his mind. There was no need for much more context since they have tried so many different things already. One of the very few options left was one of the easiest to come up with: time travel.

The sorcerer sighs once again, knowing perfectly fine how the VP thinks of such things, but does he really have a choice right now? “I know the risks better than anyone else, Hari. Which is why this is a task I can only entrust to you.” His eyes have not once looked into hers, and she knows he will maintain this attitude, especially after he has spoken those words to his colleague and friend.

Before she can even utter another exclaim of shock and refusal, the council members raise their hands with their heads bowed in shame, each and every one betraying the woman, agreeing that she must be sent back in time. Hari falls back into her seat, hurt flashed through her eyes, but she gathers herself and stands up.

“If that is what the council of eternity deems the solution,” she looks the head sorcerer dead in the eye, “very well, then, I will take my leave.”

“Y/N, slow down. Dear Lord, why do you refuse to run like this in P.E back in high school?” Park Sunghoon, your life-long friend, complains as he finally catches up with you. You only give him a teasing smile before seating yourself at the very back of the lecture hall. A sea of students coming at the moment the clock strikes 9 and your handsome TA not long after.

“Y’know, you can also start the swooning at least a few moments into class when he has actually done something simp-worthy,” Sunghoon mutters from beside you, scooting a bit away from you in case simp behavior is contagious. He is not going to stoop that low for someone when he is the most beautiful person himself. You give him a side-glare but return to staring at Park Jongseong with hearty eyes nonetheless.

“Him being a TA is simp-worthy enough.” You mutter.

“Aha, so you agree that you are a simp?”

“Shut up and focus on the class, Sunghoon.”

“Right…like you are”

The class ended earlier than scheduled as Jongseong suddenly rushed out of the lecture hall after receiving an urgent call. You sulk a bit, but it also gave you some time to copy the notes Sunghoon took while you were staring at the TA with intensity.

“In another world, I want us to be strangers.” Sunghoon dramatically says after you finish copying his hard work with a cheeky smile on your face. You suddenly feel a gush of wind from right beside you and a presence that felt heavy.

“Keep on wanting, Park.” An unfamiliar voice speaks and you whip your head to the right side to see a woman dressed in dark tones looking at the two of you with an unamused expression. You turn back to your best friend, only to see him gawk at the woman with equally surprised eyes.

He barely makes it understandable, but he does manage to stutter out an exclamation. “D-did you…j-just materialize…like poof?” Gosh, Sunghoon, please.

The woman ignores his question, or even better, his presence and her eyes look straight into yours. “Yang Y/N, I need you to come with me.” And if this were any other woman who did not just appear out of the air, you would have laughed and continued talking to Sunghoon.

But from the sheer seriousness of her tone and the fact that she did appear out of nowhere, you better listen to some entity you do not know.
