apolo-cheese for infodumping. but i REALLY need to let all of this out about Ryonna (for crash team rumble, in case they join in, my choice really.)

OKAY. SO. ACCORDING TO THE LATEST CRASH TEAM RUMBLE COMIC, APPARENTLY. JUST APPARENTLY, MOJO IS STILL CANON. (maybe. we dont know if team rumble is also canon to the universe, anyway.)

IF COTT/MOM STUFF IS STILL CANON, THAT COULD ONLY MEAN ONE THING.

We Know Ryonna has changed in Its About Time, she's no longer an aggressive rarely loyal brute like she was in Tag Team Racing or the love-struck, attention-loving Cortex fangirl she was in COTT/MOM, but what if i told you... Some of her sides from the games are still there, but toned down a LOT?

Ryonna could still show a bit of those sides, like sometimes when protecting Cortex, their angry side shows up, demonic voice included. PLUS... SHE DID MENTION THAT IN ITS ABOUT TIME, THEY THOUGHT CORTEX WAS CUTE...

THE PAST RYONNAS WE KNOW AND LOATHE (or love) ARE STILL THERE, But Ryonna has still been fixed. She's not like she was before, they're more likable now.

Oh yeah. by the way, before she joins in, i have an idea for what she is before she joins the tournament. We all know she and Cortex are inseperable (and of course they're his sidekick), so Cortex definitely brought her along, only to find out she wasn't registered into the tournament. Doesn't matter though, because she's his warm-up masseuse, emergency nurse and cheerleader! I might make concept art of her later today if i can... this heatwave is killing me..

Oh yeah, also... Introducing Ryonna's current (superior) counterpart... The it's about time Ryonna!

Info: Ryonna is the professional bounty huntress who works for Cortex. Ever since they went in a wild time-travel/dimension-hopping adventure together... (including first meeting when he first got out of that temporal prison...) Cortex and Ryonna have grown pretty close. Like in a supervillain-and-sidekick kind of way! ...Except they actually have a lot in common in regards of energy and action. Of course, it took Ryonna a while to get into Rumble, after all, who was there for Cortex when he got hurt during a game? And who was there to help him get ready for those matches? But now that they are in... She and Cortex could cause even more trouble than ever before (Only if they're in a team together, though.)! Sure, Ryonna can be quite a powerhouse-sized klutz at times, but their surprising strenght and role as the scorer sure does wonders on the each team (especially if Cortex is in it)! Plus, looks like Cortex finally found a henchperson that is as evil and full of energy as he is, despite her supposed role to be a bounty huntress to hunt down and capture Crash and Coco. But oh well, they DO make a good duo!

Anyway, Ryonna can grab things with not just their arms... But also her ringtail!! and their favorite weapons are her two fists: "the Birdchirper" and "the Stargazer". And well... I think that's it. I'll draw and demonstrate her attacks another time.

Fun facts: - Ryonna is omnisexual and a trans woman!! appreciate the legend!! - Ryonna, during the events of Its about time, used to call Cortex "Boss" and "sir" but after the battle with the N. Tropies, they decided to call him "master" after realizing that they liked the sound of "Professional bounty huntress and sidekick"! - their hc voice actress is Kayleigh McKee (or any other trans voice actress) - In the italian version and/or any other version her alternate name is "Ryonessa" (The name's pretty catchy, too. dont get me wrong.)

A discovery: (a forgotten character is possibly coming back in It's About Time??)

posted by: CrateTalker280 on October 2nd, 2020 Okay, So... Does anybody remember Ryonna Lemurs? You know, the Bounty Huntress who worked for Cortex and who appeared in Crash Tag Team Racing, Crash of The Titans and Mind Over Mutant?

Like i mentioned, she worked for Cortex as his race partner in Tag Team Racing, but she also worked for him as his assistant in Crash of the titans and mind over mutant respectively, (even though their personality in TTR and both COTT and MOM was completely different.)

Well, what i've discovered in playing the game on my ps4 is that... I recently found out something in it's cutscenes. You know, when you finish N. Sanity Peak, there's a cutscene playing right? well, the Cortex part of the cutscene was playing, but i noticed something different. Which shows it right in these screenshots i took.

It wasn't like the sneak peak we saw once (which of course, wasn't final game footage), Now instead of just having Cortex, N. Gin, N. Brio and N. Tropy in the same cutscene, we got another character's silhouette in it. I suppose it had, yellow eyes or Something like that?? and their size looked familiar, especially the tail part... So this raises the question: Is Ryonna actually coming back after her long absence from the franchise? Or is it a new character? Because the last time i saw her in mind over mutant... Her design was different, especially the eye color. What i showed before was her tag team racing design. Now look at their COTT/MOM design

Keep in mind, she hasn't showed up in a game since Mind Over Mutant and was completely absent in Nitro-fueled despite the Tag Team racing characters (Von Clutch and Pasadena O'Possum) appearing as playable characters... So, maybe these screenshots mean she's coming back? I don't wanna say i hope so, but i do remember liking her when i was playing COTT on my Wii back when it first came out, so i think there's a possbility she's returning... But in the meantime, I'll just continue to play the game and see how this goes. No, i'm not posting spoilers. Please be respectful.

Fun Facts about Ryonna Lemurs. (My Cash Banooca OC)

part 1.

Unlike her master (who's singing is good but can go off key at times. example: "KILL THE BANDICOOT, CRUSH THE BANDICOOT, SMASH IT IN ITS HEAAAAAD!"), she sings in a serene and lulling voice, but when its loud music, she sings out like that one girl singer from Nemona's end credits

Good friendship with N. Gin, somewhat ok "friendship" with N. Brio, inseperable Bestieship with Cortex.

Despite her objectives being hunting her enemies down and help Cortex in his evil plans, their other task is also to keep cortex safe, happy and take care of him.

Has shown a little bit of interest in Ninja skills. I mean, can't blame them, her boss fight reveal appearence in the Cortex boss fight from the 11th dimension showed that.

Incredible soft spot for cute stuff. (especially Cortex being adorable)

Even though she hates the Bandicoots (calling them Bandi-clods and all), Ryonna geniunely cares for them, especially Coco. (she still doesn't like Tawna that much though since they're both enemies and rivals.)

LITERALLY SPOILED CORTEX ROTTEN WHEN THEY WERE IN NEON CITY. WHY? Because Cortex got too used to getting what he wants. Congrats, you klutz, you doomed us all.

While waiting her turn to be playable in Crash Team Rumble, Ryonna wasn't only assigned to be Cortex's warm-up assistant and emergency match nurse, they were also assigned to be his cheerleader! and she's not bad at it, it reminds them of back what she used to do in high school, too.

Crush on Dingodile. But will not cry or get furious if he says he's not interested in dating her.

even though she's mature, she shares the same braincells as Cortex... So, yeah she can act a little bit like he does. but only just one bit. like 10%.

Her tail is used mostly by Cortex for reasons. Including sleepy time stuff.

Speaking of Cortex, he lets Ryonna carry him when he's extremely tired or in need of a hug. But she also has the audacity to take care of him a lot, like patting his back so he can burp or rock him to sleep to soothe himself.

A Lemur's Current Duty

"Yes, yes! The kind we keep shut! We have to go through, find my siblings, and fix this before some putz with a big evil plan and a bigger ego does something monumentally stupid!"

[Meanwhile... In the villains' base, Cortex is scratching his butt, yawning. After that, the mad scientist walks away, still tired, or bored. N. Tropy, meanwhile, is standing before his rift generator, monologuing. in the meantime, Ryonna, sat down with her legs crossed and her arms behind their head, is leaning on a device which Cortex starts to tinker.]

N. Tropy: Uka Uka unknowingly paved the way for our bright future. Once my Rift Generator is complete, dominion over all of time and space will be within our grasp!

[While he's saying that, Cortex silently mocks him by doing a "blah blah blah" hand gesture. Typical of him, of course. Except, Ryonna starts to silently snirk at it, since she thought it was pretty funny. Once they feel like N. Tropy is turning his head at them, they stop doing that and get back to what they're previously doing while N. Gin and N. Brio are walking towards Cortex]

Dr. Neo Cortex: N. Gin, N. Brio... You had some little projects you wanted to tell me about?

N. Gin: Master, my mechanical marvel will hypnotize you an army!

N. Brio: And my potion will make me-- (ahem!)--Them unstoppable.

[Cortex, uninterested, keeps tinkering with the device. Ryonna in the meantime is just waving "Bye-bye" at them while having a smug smile on her face.]

Dr. Neo Cortex: Right, yeah, fine, sure, have fun with your... Rayguns or whatever.

[As N. Gin and N. Brio turn to head to their respective rifts, they bump into each other. N. Brio angrily tries to kick N. Gin, only for N. Gin to dodge and bite down on his shin.]

N. Tropy: Hasten your steps!

[After that, N. Gin and N. Brio stay away from each other and go to their respective rifts. N. Gin runs while N. Brio is just waving the pompous peacock off, annoyed.]

N. Tropy: By my calculations, our enemies are already moving against us. And We. Will. Prevail...

[N. Tropy smiles menacingly, but then he of course, in the middle of his moment, gets interrupted by the sound of a stereo, playing a song. His eye twitches as he turns around to see Ryonna rocking out while Cortex is still tinkering with the device, meanwhile, the lemur lady is humming a little, as well as banging her tail on the ground to the beat while the music plays. N. Tropy gets annoyed. As he turns around he notices what's Ryonna doing, along with noticing a boombox stereo next to her, playing the music, suddenly he shoots the boombox, reducing it into ash, Ryonna of course gets startled when he did that, and so does Cortex, Ryonna then turns at him annoyed]

Ryonna: Hey, that was my boombox!

N. Tropy: So? I thought we agreed that you wouldn't fool around.

Ryonna: This isn't called fooling around, it's called minding your own business. Besides, what are we supposed to do anyway, tinker with stuff and do nothing?? I came here to break a leg and some bones! So, where's the action, where's the thrill, WHERE ARE THE EXPLOSIONS?!

N. Tropy: If you want to do something then how about you do something productive and not slack off at once?!

Ryonna: I'm not slacking, i'm relaxing. And heck, I don't even know what to do before our enemies get here! So, what's the point if i got nothing to do?

[N. Tropy snarls at her. Annoyed on how she's talking to him like an impulsive thrill-seeking moron. But then he gets an idea on what she would do.]

N. Tropy: Now that you question that last part, I do have a task for you.

Ryonna: FINALLY, That's all I was asking for! Now, what's it gonna be? Break intruders' bones, get some rare but powerful treasure, test out the rift generator, capture some people, guard the entire base top to bottom, build deadly traps, or maybe--?!

N. Tropy: It's none of them.

Ryonna: Uuuugh!

N. Tropy: Though i've got one question for you... Have you ever experienced with technology before?

Ryonna: Tech-no-lo... Wait a second, of course i have experience! Though it's been a long time since i've worked with technologic stuff, but i gotta say im a FAN! All the tinkering, all the coding, all the calculating, it's just so futuristic and that's definitely my aesthetic as a whole along with my tough-as-steel version o' it, y'know, one time i hacked into a supercomputer and despite a few errors here and there I successfully ran out of the scene with a USB Disk full of important information inside my back belt pouch! More importantly, I do recall that time I--

[While the ringtailed huntress continues on with her infodumping about her experience for technology, Cortex is quite suprised on what she's telling... Which causes him to have an inner monologue and talk to himself inside his mind]

Dr. Neo Cortex: Wait, how does this oversized furball have involvement in technology..?! She can steal treasure... And she's a genius, too?! As if the bounty hunting part wasn't enough... I don't know if i'm starting to like her... Or HATE her!

[Cortex of course, enrages a little during that last part. But in the meantime, Ryonna is still rambling on and on]

Ryonna: And more importantly I knew about the codes about deactivating a radioactive machine that was gonna--

[N. Tropy groans while facepalming in annoyance, Ryonna then stops talking after noticing that]

Ryonna: Oh, I-i'm sorry, was I talking too much?

N. Tropy: A lot. [Ryonna of course, after he says that, starts to pout while having puppy dog eyes, indicating that she feels bad for talking too much]

N. Tropy: No matter though, because this task will certainly be of your interest.

[N. Tropy then puts a technologic device which is used like a monitor to watch the bandicoots' every move. Ryonna, looks at it, extremely confused]

N. Tropy: Now, I want you to keep an eye on the marsupials through this device, in which you'll have to watch the progress our enemies are making, and if something happens to our two comrades, you'll have to notify me. Do you understand?

Ryonna: .... I really don't. THATS IT?! JUST MONITORIZING THEM LIKE THEY'RE BABIES?! I Thought it was something else that had to do with tech! Though... I do think it would be good to me now that i think about it... Hold on, why don't you also do it? I could help making the rift generator, after all i did say-

N. Tropy: Look. Ryonna, I do know you want to help me but the rift generator HAS to be worked on by somebody who knows how it's features work, more especially how time travel and interdimensional travel work. And you working on it? Honestly, I dont see it in you, you may be experienced with bounty hunting, technology and anything else you may mention, but time and space?! I don't think so. I am the master of time itself, and I shall get to work on it. In the meantime, you stay alert on our enemies, Cortex will keep doing... Whatever in the world he's doing, and I'll make sure the rift generator is complete. Have we come clear on this one, Ringtail?

[Ryonna looks disappointed, but yet she doesnt have no fear, she tries to stand up to him, but she fails to. she just sighs and looks away]

Ryonna: I... Yes, doctor.

N. Tropy: Good. Now, get to work.

[Her ears floop down in disappointment, she then gets close to the device and starts to look at it, beggining to watch the bandicoots' every move, all while still looking bored.]

Sudden Kick-Out

[The Bandicoot sibs and Lani-Loli, after defeating N. Gin, run through the rift after Akano, the mask of Dark Matter. What they don't know is that somebody was watching them. And it was none other than Ryonna. Ryonna, surprised to see N. Gin was defeated, decides to quickly inform Dr. N. Tropy (mostly) and Dr. Neo Cortex about what happened]

Ryonna: Bad news, Tropes! It appears that the little furbabies have defeated N. Gin!

[N. Tropy, annoyed, face palms. He, of course, knew this was gonna happen. Considering how bumbling the other scientists are compared to him (in his own opinion)]

N. Tropy: Of course they defeated him that easily...

Ryonna: It's sad too since I did think that "Rawkit-hëd" concert was a neat idea from his part. That's not all though, it appears that the furballs are heading towards Salty... Waft or... whatever it's called.

N. Tropy: It's Salty Wharf, Ryonna.

Ryonna: Whatever. t'least that's still a long road ahead, which means that'll give us plenty of time.

N. Tropy: That's correct. In fact, that will give us more time to get the rift generator to be finalized. Though now that I think of it, we may need to think of a back-up strategy before they find a way to get to Tranquility Falls...

[Upon hearing that, Cortex stops whatever he's doing and clears his throat. N Tropy and Ryonna then turn around and pay attention to him, much to the clock-wise scientist's annoyance and the lemur's confusion]

Neo Cortex: And if i tell you about my plan that i've had in mind since 50 minutes ago?

[N. Tropy looks extremely not amused, not interested in whatever he's plotting, Ryonna however is thrilled to hear about his plan. N. Tropy of course, decides to say something which catches the lemur's attention]

N. Tropy: Absolutely No--

Ryonna: Shh! Let him speak, he's up to something!

N. Tropy: [long sigh] This better be good, Cortex.

[Neo Cortex, noticing that Ryonna and N. Tropy want to hear about whatever he's plotting, decides to explain it to them.]

Neo Cortex: I was thinking that I could set up into the 11th dimension, when i'm there i can set up a little base with the help of my lab assistants. Once the bandicoots get there, I'll tell them that i will meet them at the mountain. And since i'll bring in my blimp, I shall make a 'few' notifications to it so it will be impossible for those morons to beat me, and once they'll be out of the way, nothing will ever stop us from "dominating all of time and space" or whatever it is. You know, just so to do my part?

[As Cortex finishes his monologue, Ryonna looks surprised, N. Tropy however is not impressed. Which makes Cortex look annoyed about their reaction]

Neo Cortex: Ugh, do you even have anything to say about it?! Seriously, it's like you don't appreciate the hard work i--

Ryonna: Wai-Wai-Wait! I actually like this plan.

Neo Cortex: ..You do?

Ryonna: Yeah! Though it could need a few tweaks here and there, but hey, I think it's pretty good! Maybe I can help you develop it a little more so we have a much higher chance of winning, If... That's possible of course.

[N. Tropy then gets an idea. he decides to pull out his tuning fork and pushes Ryonna towards Cortex]

N. Tropy: In that case, listen up you two, I've had a slight change of plans. So, I will stay here and focus on completing the rift generator, while you, Cortex, will go to the 11th dimension and put in action... That potentially-failing plan of yours. Oh, and Ringtail is coming with you.

Neo Cortex/Ryonna: WHAT?! US?! WHY?!

N. Tropy: Well, it's simple, it's that you're both equally the most annoying people, except one is much more mature and capable on their job, and one is extremely short-tempered who will need to be accompanied and watched over so he doesn't mess up.

[Shocked by this news, Ryonna is extremely confused and angry, perhaps a mix of both emotions too. Cortex, on the other hand is being very stubborn due to hearing this]

Neo Cortex: EXCUSE ME?! I do NOT need her to accompany me in this! The great Neo Cortex is a lone wolf, a bald eagle, a burrowing hamster. Thus I dont want her to help me, nor watch me over!

Ryonna: Yeah, and I am a Professional Bounty Huntress (PBH for short), not a babysitter! And by the way, what happened to my initial task on watching over what the little furbabies are up to--

[N. Tropy then throws the monitor at her it hits her face a little but it didnt hurt that much, the object ends up in their hands, still extremely confused]

N. Tropy: Bring that with you, it still works in other places away from here, it's not like it needs wi-fi to work. Now you all know your task, so you better be off.

Neo Cortex: Alright, fine. I'll just have to activate my blaster's teleport function for us to get there. Just a single shot and--

N. Tropy: Actually, I got a better idea.

[The evil scientist and the Huntress look at eachother, confused on what idea he's got to get them to the 11th dimension. Cut to the latter, a quantum rift opens up, and the two hooligans yelp and fall into the snowy ground after getting their butts kicked by N. Tropy (literally). while their faces are planted in the snow, he looks at them with a smug smile in his face]

N. Tropy: Good luck, though i doubt you'll have it.

[he chuckles evilly and the rift closes. Cortex lifts his head up and coughs, he in rage, then slams his fist on the ground and grumbles under his breath]

Neo Cortex: Stupid, insolent, overbearing, egoistic, pretentious son of a-...

Ryonna: [muffled] Huh, this ground's actually pretty soft, Wonder if this is the 11th dimension!

[Ryonna then lifts her head up and sees that they're of course, in the 11th dimension]

Ryonna: Ohhhh, there we go. You know, I never witnessed or felt snow since forever. So, i think s'a breath of freezy air. Hahah! Get it, because, the air's fresh but its more cooler than it is--

Neo Cortex: One more pun, and i'll end you.

Ryonna: Okay, okay i'll stop. So, all we have to do is just build that base, right?

Neo Cortex: Ugh, yes of course, why?!

Ryonna: Well, because we got plenty of time to spare! Currently, the bandicoots are in Salty... What was it again? Wrath? Waft--

Neo Cortex: (annoyed) Salty Wharf?

Ryonna: Salty Wharf, thank you!

[Ryonna finger guns at Cortex, who is still annoyed he has to work with her, but he needs to focus on his current task anyway. Meanwhile, Ryonna turns on map mode for the monitor and it shows off all of the places of the 11th dimension, so they, of course, can focus on planning. Cortex then looks at the tablet while she's rambling]

Ryonna: Anyway, we got time until they get here. So, all we have to do is just build said base and get your blimp here. We can find out where we can put the latter and I think we can put iiitt... Right at the mountain's cliff, juuust a few miles away! Now how do we get your blimp and some metal here--

[suddenly two quantum rifts open and tons of pieces of metal and tools fall to the ground, and the blimp then flies through the rift and arrives in the 11th dimension, the two look extremely surprised]

Ryonna: What just happened??

Neo Cortex: Beats me. But you know how these rifts work. Now, to contact my assistants and get them her--

Ryonna: Uh, I don't think you have to, doc.

[Ryonna points at another Quantum rifts which various lab assistants fall out from. every single one of them fall into the ground, some are getting up, shivering from the cold. Cortex and Ryonna in the meantime are extremely surprised about all of this. they then look at eachother]

Ryonna: Well, heh, what do you know, the rift brought us exactly what you asked for!

[Cortex then gets annoyed and inhales, already done with all of this and just wants to get to work already. (and he's also done with Ryonna's nonsense, too.)]

Neo Cortex: Do you happen to have some snow clothing?

[Ryonna then gets tons of winter clothes out of her back belt pouch. When noticing that, Cortex was out of words, not to mention very confused]

Ryonna: Can't go anywhere without them!

Neo Cortex: WHA- H-how?????

Ryonna: My pouch is like a black hole if you think about it. Oh yeah, do you need something? I dont think staying in the cold weather like that is gonna help you.

Neo Cortex: Ugh, I do NOT need your help! I'm completely fine! Just stop wasting time and give them those!

Ryonna: Alright. Careful though, surviving this breeze-y isn't easy.

[She then walks out off-screen, Cortex just rolls his eyes in annoyance and facepalms, he then just looks very disappointed.]

Neo Cortex: Ugh. Why did I have to team up with her?
