IoRyuu Fanbook/Fanzine Guidelines

Introduction

 ●     Ioryuu Fanbook/Fanzine is a project to create something together with both the Western fans and the Japanese fandom for the love of Ioryuu. This zine has no theme because we want everyone to have creative freedom, but if you need some ideas about what to draw, there are some suggested themes/prompts later on in this document.

 ●     We will have Artworks and Writing in this Fanzine/Fanbook. If anyone wants to make a comic for this project, that’s allowed too!

 ●     We plan to have afterword in the last pages, so you can write what you like about Ioryuu and what it means for you, or you can skip this step if you want.

 ●     Everyone will be credited by the name AND social media of their choice. You can decide not to include your social media and name, but we highly recommend it.

 ●     The fanzine/fanbook will be available ONLY in digital form. Preorders can be placed starting in July.

○     Preorders will be placed through bigcartel. Please follow our social media accounts for the announcement of the zine’s  bigcartel page opening~!

○     This zine is FREE and NOT FOR PROFIT.

 ●     We are looking for a translator! If you feel comfortable translating English to Japanese and/or Japanese to English, please let us know!! We’re hoping to have someone help others translate their writing into English/Japanese so that both the Japanese-speaking and English-speaking fans can understand and enjoy every written work submitted.

 We’d also appreciate it if this translator could help us translate the guidelines into Japanese. Our project leaders cannot speak Japanese, so we are trying to use simple English because we do want everyone who is interested to have the chance to join even if their English isn’t the best.

 ●     If there is something you don’t understand please tell us, and we will try our best to explain it.

 ●     Everyone participating will get a digital copy of the fanbook/fanzine

Rules

You can draw other Boueibu characters in your work, but please keep it IoRyuu centric.

No explicit work allowed. This includes R18 & Gore artwork/writing. Subtle hints are allowed if it’s minor, but we want this to be suitable for all ages.

The artwork/writing you submit must be new, made for the zine/fanbook. If you have artwork/writing that has never been posted online or sold, that’s fine to  submit.

No stealing other artwork/writing. If we find out that you have been stealing, we will have to remove you from the project

Please keep it to male Io and male Ryuu, but you’re allowed to draw any theme. For example, if you want     a fantasy theme or cat theme, go ahead! We love having you explore and put     unique your ideas into the art/writing

 Main Artwork

●     Canvas Size

○     2122 x 2976 pixels measurements

○     Allow at least 42 pixels for bleed room.

●     Full color illustrations are required.

●     Background must have something it can be simple shapes or a complicated background, please don’t leave it blank.

●     All files must be submitted in .psd and .png

●     Traditional art is allowed provided it is cropped and scanned.

●     The art must be new. No past art may be used.

 Writing

●     2500 word minimum in english. Maximum of 8000 words.

●     Fully proofread with little to no grammar or spelling errors.

●     Written in English so everyone can read them. If you want to write it in your mother language first, that’s fine so long it get translated to English before submission.

●     The writing must be new. No past writings may be used.
