Simblreen 2020 Day 2: Tales of the Sands - Opulence

“Now traveler, you must understand that the hidden Palace does not only contain those horrifying statues, but that it’s also home to great riches. Gold-plated domes betray its wealth to anyone who dares to come close. Many an adventurer has ventured into the Palace, seeking to obtain treasure, but none have come back.“

Simblreen day 2 starts off a little late, but no matter. Let’s see what we got this time:

First of all, you get 9 new domes all slaved to the dome from day 1 (included). You also get some nice recolors for said dome. Speaking of recolors, you also get 9 recolors of the BB Niche and 4 coin recolors for the Soul Cairn bone pile. You also get some floors and terrain to match the pile. Of course, we cannot ignore the most unique part of this set: the columns. You see, these are no ordinary columns. These are four ordinary 3-story columns and wait for it,...

Four 4-story columns!

Yes, you read that correctly. I have figured out how to make columns taller than 3 stories. They support weight and all. If you’d like to make your own, feel free to use any of mine as a base.

Everything has been compressorized. Previews and collection files are included, as are the master meshes. If you downloaded Day 1, replace those collection files with the new ones. If you haven’t downloaded any of the two, don’t worry, the collections in day 1 and 2 are now identical.

Historical and fantasy dresses for Maxis body shapes, CU to EU. (Edit: find them for fat body shapes here.)

All ages share the same extensive swatch; recolors can be either standalone or repo'd to AF. Everyone has a fat morph, teens and adults have preg morphs. All required meshes are in the archive, including a default replacement mesh for afbodydressmedieval that adds the preg morph (see details under the cut). Polycounts are low, ranging from 2,214 to 2,276.

The swatch

Everyone gets the same recolors but the children don't have necklaces. For non-AF recolors, don't forget to choose either standalone or repo'd.

I included all files even the ones made by the creators credited (mainly for AF) because I edited them in the following ways: • disabled EF on the AF recolors (since EF now have their own mesh and recolors), enabled them for YF when needed, • fixed shoe sounds when needed, • fixed small texture flaws when needed, • edited file names for clarity and consistency, • changed sortindex numbers so that all sets appear tidily one after the other in CAS, • all recolors are now categorized as everyday & formal and 10 of them are also enabled as outerwear (I'll specify which ones as we get to them).

1. Maxis

For all age groups, these 3 recolors will appear in the Nightlife section of the CAS catalog, as if they had shipped with the game (no cc star).

As long as you have the Nightlife expansion, you already have these 3 for AF. However, you'll see I still included 3 Maxis files in the AF folder: they're optional and their function is to disable the Maxis recolors for elders so that they're only available for Y-AF, and to make the red dress (#3) available in CAS (it's hidden by default).

Still in the AF folder, you'll find 2 optional texture default replacements for the red dress: "NoShadow" removes the inter-boob shadow (that shadow doesn't exist on the other 2 recolors), while "NoShadowNoNecklace" is if you want no shadow and also no necklace.

Choose one of the two files at most, and note that if you pick "NoShadowNoNecklace" the necklace will also disappear from recolors 1 & 2.

2. Wawa

Stunning textures by Wawa. There are no recolors #41-94 (I'm not even sure that I want to know if Wawa got around to doing them, these were already so much work 😅 So pretty though).

3. Sunni + 4. RocketHorse + 5. Nikki + 6. Alexasrosa

Sunni texture is from MTS, @rockethorse textures are from here, Nikki textures are from TSR, Alexasrosa texture is from MTS.

The Alexasrosa recolor is enabled for outerwear.

7. Parsimonious + 8. All About Style

Textures made by Arthelope, ChibiSylphe, HappyMoonBelly and Welkin found on Parsimonious (I made small fixes on the ChibiSylphe ones). Textures by All About Style found here.

Arthelope 1-2, ChibiSylphe 1-2-4, Welkin 1-2 and AAS 1-2 are enabled for outerwear.

9. Slig

Textures by Slig.

Since CU don't have necklaces, they really only get 3 recolors. In the CU "Slig - repo'd to AF" folder, keep either 1-2-3 or 4-5-6 depending on which AF version you choose (if you keep all 6 for AF, you should still only keep 3 for CU or you'll have duplicates).

Medieval and fantasy dresses for TF, AF and EF. Each age group gets one mesh and the same 233 recolors. The TF and EF recolors can be either standalone or repo'd to AF. This is the foundation of a multi-part project: subsequent parts will give you body shape conversions of these dresses, with all recolors either standalone or repo'd to AF.

The AF mesh is my edited version of iamliz13's alpha-editable gown. The TF and EF meshes are my conversions of that edited mesh, both on new files. AF and TF have fat and preg morphs, EF has a fat morph. Polycount: 3,260.

All textures were initially made by the very talented people credited below. None of this is reuploading other people's work however, as I edited almost all textures and all recolor files properties. I did make those edits on the AF recolor files of the original creators whenever I could, so that you can replace my edited recolors with the originals if you prefer and still benefit from the repositorization.

The meshes

The AF mesh

Iamliz13's AF alpha-editable gown mesh has already been edited by others (I know Dicreasy made a preg morph edit) but if I was going to convert it for 10+ body shapes, I had to get very familiar with it and make sure it was to my exacty liking. So I made my own edit. If you already use Dicreasy or anyone else's version and you want to stick with it, that's no problem since I used the same file. Just make sure you delete my AF mesh.

What I edited: • there was a row of vertices at upper lap level that didn't have the smoothest bone assignment, that's been fixed • the hips were narrower than the standard Maxis AF shape, I widened them to match • remade fat and preg morphs, in line with the Maxis AF shape.

Here's the result, on a recolor that makes use of the alpha part around the abdomen and then on one that doesn't (click to enlarge):

The recolors

Edits I made: • many recolors had some skirt texture bleeding on the left thumb → that's fixed • almost all recolors had issues with the shoe sole and/or underskirt texture not matching the mapping quite right → that's been fixed (you can't tell the difference on a standing or sitting sim but it shows when they're relaxing on a bed or a lounge chair) • most recolors had their shoe sounds set to barefoot → changed all of them to normal shoe instead • many recolors had blank bump maps unnecessarily inflating file sizes → that's been cleaned up • some AF recolors were also enabled for EF → they are now YA-AF only since I made proper EF conversions • changed sortindex numbers so that sets appear one after the other in an order that made sense to me.

All recolors are compressed and tooltipped (not mfBSOK'd, sorry if that's what you prefer). Swatches are included.

If you're not a fan of the clothing categories I chose, you can change clothing categories in bulk using the Outfit Organizer or the BSOK editor. The latter will also let you mfBSOK everything, if you want.

Iamliz13's dress has been recolored so many times, I could have added even more but I had to draw a line for the sake of my sanity. To be honest I'm already pushing it lol. The io / @serabiet textures are from this post.

All of the AF recolors are on the same files made by the people who created them, except "MohicanTunes 5" because I couldn't find a custom file for that one. I edited their sortindex numbers and enabled them as outerwear.

🔬Technical details

CU, TM, AM, and EM are on the same files as AlmightyHat's. Edits I made: got rid of unnecessary blank bump maps, recategorized as underwear-swimwear instead of underwear-sleepwear-swimwear, renamed files for consistency/clarity, tooltipped, changed sortindex numbers, made the repo'd versions.

Everything else is on new files, even Androgyny UF (I tweaked the mesh to straighten up the bindings, then ended up with different meshes for the bindings and the no-bindings versions, both tweaked - just went with fresh files because at that point might as well).

These outfits are based on iamliz13's AM Viking Tunics and retextures by Lothere and Wawa. I tweaked them in a few ways detailed below and made age & frame conversions so that the same 110 recolors are available to TM, AM, EM as well as Androgyny TF, AF & EF. The recolors can be either standalone or repo'd to AM-EM (AM & EM share the same mesh and recolors).

All have fat morphs; all have preg morphs except EF. Polycount: 2,162.

The mesh for AM-EM is an edit of iamliz13's Viking Tunic mesh (on the same file). I made some mapping and bone assignment tweaks, added a preg morph and redid the fat morph:

I initially made an EM mesh conversion but ended up scrapping it because it was too similar to the AM mesh as the outfit is quite bulky. That's why AM and EM have the same mesh and recolors.

All AM recolors (and the TM recolors in the case of Lothere Saxon Collar) are on the same files as the linked originals. Beside the edits mentioned above, I also: • deleted the unnecessary blank bump maps to reduce file sizes (on all recolors except the Lothere Saxon Collars, which have functional bump maps) • changed all shoe sounds from heavy boot to normal shoe • enabled all AM recolors for EM and changed clothing categories • changed sortindex numbers so that sets appear one after the other from least to most formal, with Wawa's "maille" recolors at the very end • compressorized and tooltipped everything (as I always do even if I don't mention it every time).

The TM and F Androgyny recolors are on new files and follow the same rules. The Androgyny F recolors are BSOK'd (my usual legacy BSOK, not mfBSOK).

This dress caught my eye when I saw it on @nervosims's Ayizan ❤️ It's originally on an AF mesh from All About Style, retextured by Sherahbim here and beautifully recolored by @simbury here.

I fixed and edited some things on the AF mesh, then converted it for: • Maxis-size TU, AM, EU • Melodie9 fat TU, AU, EU • Momma Lisa AF-EF

Everyone has a fat morph, adults and teens have preg morphs. The recolors are categorized as everyday, formal and outerwear. Custom body shapes are BSOK'd.

The swatch

All body shapes get the same recolors. For AF I'm only providing my edited mesh: you need to get the AF recolors from Sherahbim and Simbury. All other recolors can be either standalone or repo'd to AF.

The meshes

All F meshes are 2,088 poly. All M meshes are 1,904 poly (I did a chest transplant rather than just squish the boobs).

Most notable edits compared to the original AAS mesh are I fixed the wonky wrists + removed a thingy on the back that I'm pretty sure is supposed to be a tag but it would only work with textures that offer some back cleavage + reduced the bust & fleshed out the back to better match the standard Maxis shape.

@deedee-sims's Dolores gown converted for AF-EF Momma Lisa and AM-EM Trans Momma Lisa. This is sort of an add-on to DeeDee and @esotheria-sims's Dolores Completer project, which is where I got all the beautiful textures from ^^

They have fat and preg morphs, categorized as everyday and formal, BSOK'd. Polycount: 2,393. Previews and details under the cut.

Mesh notes: I removed the shoes that were part of the original AF mesh to eliminate clipping, lower polycount by about 400, reduce file sizes and make the outfit more historical-simmer-friendly (the shoes were modern pumps). The walking animation is not affected by this change.

Here are some nightgowns/undergarments that could work for both historical and modern hoods. They're for a bunch of body shapes:

They're based on Kalynn06's Simple Shift and these colorful recolors by @2fingerswhiskey. I made edits to the textures and original meshes (detailed below).

All body shapes have fat morphs, teens and adults have preg morphs. All get blockfeet & sexyfeet options. Polycount: blockfeet: 1,912 // sexyfeet: 6,464.

• All body shapes have the same swatch and the non-AF recolors can be either standalone or repo'd to AF. • The Kalynn recolors are categorized as sleepwear & underwear, the @2fingerswhiskey (2FW) recolors are sleepwear only. • All recolors for the non-Maxis body shapes are BSOK'd.

Textures originally from here and here, though I added the skirt caps (see next section).

Mesh edits

The included TF, AF & EF meshes are my edits of Kalynn's: I lowered the shoulders to Maxis nude mesh level, smoothed the front shoulder spikes, remade the fat and preg morphs...

and fixed the missing skirt cap textures on all the recolors.

The TF, AF and EF meshes are on the same files as Kalynn06's. I don't think they would mess up other existing recolors but let me know if they do (actually the sexyfeet meshes may look weird with other recolors because of a strip of texture on the original textures that gets in the way of the sexyfeet mapping - I had to delete it on Kalynn and 2FW's recolors, you'd most likely have to do the same on recolors made by other people).

For blockfeet and cleavage to look optimal on the trans body shapes, you may want to use showerproof skins made for trans sims. The sims on the previews all have bodyshape-appropriate skins from this set.

They're categorized as underwear; the recolors for the custom body shapes are BSOK'd. I thought they would work well with the steampunk outfits I shared here and here (+ more upcoming).

All body shapes get the same 6 colors. Non-AF body shapes can be either standalone or repo'd to AF. Exceptions: EF uses slightly different textures and is standalone only, Melodie9 fat EF (efFat) is either standalone or repo'd to EF.

Maxis-sized TF, AF & EF don't require any meshes (they will pick-up your sexyfeet default replacement meshes if you use any). For the others, I included my fully morphed blockfeet and sexyfeet meshes (and also sexyfeet + smoothhands for MartaXL): choose one mesh for each body shape. If you already have underwear by me for these shapes, you already have these meshes.

What I edited on Ja's TF, AF and EF files: • EF didn't have their own textures to accomodate elder breasts → now they do • AF and EF were repo'd to TF and were not available standalone → now the AF files are the parent files, TF can be either standalone or repo'd to AF, and EF is standalone only with her own textures • they had unnessary blank bump maps → that's cleaned up • they were categorized as underwear, sleepwear & swimwear → now they are underwear only • the AF files weren't enabled for YA → now they are.

I also minimally edited the file names for clarity and optimized loading times, still preserving Ja's chosen names for these undies (names that differ across ages, but they really are the same undies).
