No Outdoor Shadows Part II (Part I is here) Not Shipped with the Game The meshes for the CastawayStories and s2store rugs / flowerbeds have been edited ls_rugs_NoOutdoorShadows needs to load after the LifeStories buy.bundle

I've only remembered to remove outdoor shadows on one (!) rug I've converted so I updated the above forgotten ones

Lost. Still having no idea of what to do or how to do it. Without north or much hope. Nothing but empty ideas, his desire of feeling better, of thinking about the future clearly, and not like it was a gray cloud of rain. He was looking for it. A place to fit in.

A trip in a red car on the road. The air hitting him on his clear cheeks, stirring that ginger hair. Old music playing on the radio, the sun burning his legs a bit. Nerves and silly laughter, caused by his unexpected decision. Laura asking "Everything okay, Gabe?" He nodded quickly, only to reassure his mother that he had made the best decision of his life. Was it, though? The car stopped.

“I can’t believe my baby boy is leaving.”

“I’m not leaving, mum.”

“Okay, just... call me each now and then. I love you”

“I love you too” he said. 

He took both suitcases in his hands, and said goodbye. Once he saw his mother's red car leave, he allowed himself to turn around to observe what was around him. It was a green meadow, sunflower blossoms and poppies that gave life to old stone signs. The were hundred of different centenary buildings, visited by thousands and thousands of students over the years. That was it. The university campus.

requested Castaway Stories conversions    cs_campfire  1253  (bv)    cs_toiletstall  1286    default_cs_bonfire  1496  (uni) Sims can’t flush toddler potty balloons or aquarium fish down the stall’s toilet but I don’t think the bg toilet stall lets sims do that either. The bonfire is a default replacement for the uni original (no more bear chairs on fire). Thanks as usual to @hugelunatic for their kind and smart help!

LifeStories Reward Bar fixed! Lunie and I don’t remember it but I must have repo’d the bar to the bg loft “Fjord” counters at some point? Doing that broke the bar’s functionality, so I’m very sorry. Thanks to the simmer who let me know sims would foot-stomp when directed to use the bar, and thanks to @hugelunatic for helping me fix things (as usual). In testing, I noticed that on residential lots, the bar works as expected. On community lots my sim could tend bar, juggle tumblers, and eat/sit on a stool at the bar. Unfortunately, she couldn’t order or be served a drink since the bartender kept wandering off. I think that particular community lot is corrupt but please let me know if it’s the Reward Bar itself and I’ll try to fix the wandering bartender problem. @delonariel’s default replacement bar glass is shown. I’ll update the LS notes with this info but here’s the updated bundle.

Hi! Yes, they have! @lowedeus defaulted them with slightly different better snowy textures but I haven’t been able to find their post for a while now. I re-uploaded them here but I will remove them if Lowedeus asks (hello Lowedeus!)

I would love to download the Shakely furniture conversions from Life Stores with your recolors, but I'm totally confused as to where to download it. I see the buy bundle notes at sims2artists but the rest in confusing me. I only want the Shakely stuff, so do I need all the othe bits? Do you have links to the meshes and your recolors? Thanks for any help. :-)

Hello :-)The pirate wood and yeti recolors of the Shakely set are here.The buy bundle notes should be easier to understand if you go ahead and download the archive.

All the other bits?ls_buy.bundle contains all the rewards, the Shakely furniture, and the Bali furniture. Removing anything from a bundled file is not easy but you can hide things using this how-to.

A friend and I agreed the neighborhood pine trees from CastawayStories are really pretty and I started working on them... and realized Freezer Bunny had already shared them :o Not only had I liked their post and downloaded them but I had even put them in their tidy little cs folder? Three shapes/sizes in three colors each with snowy states for Seasons; at least one ep is required. Thanks and credit to @freezerbunny-sims​ , saramkirk, Gwenke33, and @lowedeus

Hey shasta, sorry for the dumb question, but I'm confused about the lifestoriesbundle. I downloaded some of your recolors for lifestories items and and the bundle and everything works, but there is so much stuff in the bundle that I don't want and deleting stuff is impossible/leads to bad results. Do I absolutely have to have the whole bundle or is there a way that I could just somehow get the items I want without having my catalogue full of stuff I don't need?

What!? You don’t like the LifeSaver Lamp!? D:Editing a bundle isn’t really recommended, not because you’ll corrupt your game or anything… it just doesn’t work very often :/But you should be able to hide the objects you don’t want.(Save a copy of the bundle somewhere you can go back to if needed.)

Open ls_buy_bundle in SimPe1. Select the Object Data (OBJD) from the Resource Tree.2. Select the object you want to hide from the Resource List.   For multi-tile objects (e.g. beds), edit the one with shortest name.3. Under the Catalog Sort tab, untick any ticked boxes in the Function Sort.   optional: Untick any boxes in the Room Sort if you use that when you “shop”4. Commit after hiding each mesh you don’t like5. Save.

Especially if it’s something you are sharing, they’re hard to edit and most simmers like to pick and choose their cc.I don’t know why the MATYians bundled the LifeStories objects together… A bundle might load faster than lots of separate files and/or require less oomph from your computer when it comes to gameplay or maybe they just wanted to see if they could.

It won’t necessarily harm your game but the Big Three (Delphy, Inge Jones, and Numenor) do not recommend bundles.Merging one mesh and its recolors is less problematic and @keoni-chan has a tutorial here. It’s really best for personal use only though. I merged a few of my Simblreen treats and regretted it immediately - simmers like to pick and choose their cc.
