@alyssa-dimitriou I’ll go. Who doesn’t need an escape every now and then?
Perfect! I’ll pick you up on the way out, aye? I was thinking we could head up to Redding? It’s a bit of a drive but there are some beautiful trails out there.

Girl, I have never been to New York. But you look cute as fuck in this picture.
I haven’t either; it will be a new experience for me. Thank you, sweets.

Dachaigh || Selene Macsuain - Headcanon -
Selene’s eyes strained to look at the laptop screen she had been working on for the last 4 hours, blinking in frustration as she tried to focus. The abstract was written by a new graduate student who, quite obviously, was a pompous ass. Shaking her head and hitting print, she wandered over to the pinter and collected the poorly written document and sitting back down and reached for her pen. It was as her hand moved into her bag that she felt the journal which contained her most recent poems. It has been a while since she had posted any on the network or on her other social media and she was starting to feel the absence of it. The last couple of weeks a depression had set in but the fog was beginning to clear. Sick of the routine, she had decided to head up along the North coast.
Finishing off the paper work, she packed up her office and headed out, texting Alyssa to say she’d be around in the morning to pick her up before their road trip before heading home. Pulling out an old bag she shoved it full of some bits and pieces and logged onto the network, looking over her conversations and those of others, closing her laptop again with a faint furrow in her brow. It was a niggling feeling she had been experiencing for a few weeks, but one she didn’t quite know how to verbalize. Maybe the answer was in some fresh air and getting away from the overwhelming work. Sighing, she decided to turn off her social media for the weekend.
Sunday evening when they finally made it back, Selene’s head was much clearer. Whether it was from the fresh air or the fresh conversation she felt a bit more like her old self again. Dropping her bag in the corner of her apartment she stripped down and headed for the shower, deciding to wash away the remnants of a trek amongst the woods and ready for the week ahead. Dachaigh, home, she need to make LA home for the time being. For a long time she had felt like she was passing through, but she needed to put some roots down. There was no better place to do it.

Wow that is so beautiful! I wish I was better at things like that. I will grab lunch with you during my break!
Thank you! Do you paint, or anything? You will, that’s excellent! There’s this place called The Griddle Cafe, we can meet there.

Ride Along The Coast | Javier & Alyssa
It didn’t take as long as Javier thought it would be to make friends. Though he wouldn’t call most of them friends. People he had met online that he didn’t mind getting to know better. He did find that some of the girls he did meet he was more fond on spending time with them. Alyssa caught his attention when it came to her liking bikes. Something they both shared.
After their conversation they made plans to meet Friday to go for a ride along the coast. When he mentioned a seafood shack he liked, she seemed kind of put off, but he did manage to change her mind. With the address in hand, he grab an extra helmet for Alyssa and left his place around five thirty. The drive over wouldn’t take more than thirty minutes. He locked the apartment door behind him before heading down to the under ground parking.
The traffic wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be. He weaved through the cars and took a right up the street that would lead to where she was living. Part of him wondered if this Cavin would be coming out to meet him holding the gun she said he had. He pulled up to the place, it wasn’t too bad. He parked the bike and walked up to knock on the door. He thought about texting her but it would be too impersonal. He took a step back and waited for her to answer.
