What are the stage of HIV Infection?

1️⃣Acute HIV Infection: During the initial weeks post-exposure, acute HIV infection manifests with flu-like symptoms such as 🤒 fever, 😴 fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, 🤧 sore throat, muscle aches, and 🌈 rash.

These symptoms are indicative of rapid viral replication in the bloodstream.

2️⃣Chronic HIV Infection: Chronic HIV infection is often asymptomatic, and individuals may remain unaware of their status.

During this stage, the virus replicates at lower levels. With proper medical care and Antiretroviral Therapy (ART), this stage can persist for years.

Gomukhāsana: “Go” means cow and “mukha” means face. The name of this pose means a face that resembles a cow. "It also means a kind of musical instrument, narrow at one end and broad at the other, like the face of a cow." (B.K.S. Iyengar, Light on Yoga). In Mr. Iyengar's version in “Light on Yoga,” the ankles and the backs of the heels are together so that they touch each other. The pose pictured in this post is a variation of that shape. If you can't come to seat in this shape, you can put a block or blanket under the bottom. In general, you do not want the knees to be too much higher than the hips as that will cut off blood flow to the legs. This will stretch the deep external rotators of the glutes, which will create elasticity of the legs and hips. This pose will create a totally different feeling of walking around and standing; the legs will feel lighter and less congested. You can add a side bend here or a shoulder stretch. Movements can be organic and explored. The body will let you know when something needs to be backed away from or adjusted. Please make sure and do both sides of this posture. To come out, you can walk the hands behind you, lower to your forearms and open the legs.
