When I'm overwhelmed by the bleakness of the world, my suffering feels inevitable. Everything around me feels final and limiting. Meaning and purpose feel distant or even absent. My present situation feels like the only one available to me and any kind of change feels impossible.

In such a state, there is no way for me to break out of the cycle of suffering. My actions will be mostly reactions to my misery, attempts to temporarily assuage the pain I feel. But by acting in this way, I only guarantee further suffering down the road. I need to see what I must do to bring my suffering to an end, but I cannot because my attention is completely distracted.

My only hope is an encounter with compassion. If I can muster some self-compassion then I might be able to help myself. But otherwise, I will need the compassion of others to assist me. Compassion is action that meets needs, and when some of my needs are met, I gain an opportunity to be free enough from my suffering to see clearly again.

it always makes me so sad to see other people, especially other queer folk, shame a label for being “too specific”

A label is supposed to IDENTIFY, if it doesn’t properly do the job than that’s when it becomes “what’s the point?”

Plenty of people go unlabeled because they CANT find the right label

Plenty of people use a bunch of different labels because they can’t find the right label.

“why say your pansexual, bisexual works just fine” no it doesn’t if it doesn't properly describe the experience someone is having and wants to convey (being attracted to all genders without a preference)

“Why use omnisexual, pansexual works just fine” no it doesn’t if it doesn't properly describe the experience someone is having and wants to convey (being attracted to multiple genders with a preference)

“Why use gynesexual, pansexual works just fine” no it doesn’t if it doesn't properly describe the experience someone is having and wants to convey (being attracted to femininity regardless of gender)

All of what I listed goth under the umbrella term bisexual, which fit under the umbrella term queer which fits under the umbrella of “relationships with other humans”. Humans get more specific because they want to be able to describe their experience. Humans desire connection.

It may seem cringe to but these are people identities, these are peoples lives. People can go their whole lives feeling like their ignoring themselves and their identity because of a label they picked whether it be hyper specific or super vague. These labels are for no one but themselves and a means to convey identity to build a bridge to others. Two things can be true at once.

Not to mention the amount of neurodivergent and autistic people like myself out there feeling separated from humanity altogether and may pick a trans identity less than conventional.

Your experience is your own and not everyone’s like you. Be educated and try to understand where someone is coming from. And if you can’t bother, then don’t ruins someone’s day (and maybe even life) with your comments.

Its already a terrible life just learn to be tolerant of how people cope.

For Hope Week, these two brothers choose to see behind the scenes of the Yankees. Gerrit Cole accompanied them, and they got to do so many great things and have fun. They have Muscular Dystrophy. They will never play the game of baseball, but they got to throw out the first pitch, raise money for their cause, announce the game with Michael Kay, and they had a great time!! I'm happy for them and proud of my team for making their dreams come true 😁😍

They are beautiful boys, and their smiles have made my day!! I love to see big, powerful organizations give back to others like this. This is how it's supposed to be done!! Thank you, Yankees, for making these boys very happy and by doing so, making me very happy!! I love the Yankees ❤️

LET'S GO, YANKEES!!!!! Please keep sharing the wealth and setting a great example for us all. Kindness and compassion are priceless!! So are the smiles on those boys' faces 😁😍🫂

I cannot let this Father’s Day pass without honoring my late son, KEVIN, who was killed on March 9, 2025 by a drunk driver. We had just celebrated his 52nd birthday one week earlier. His wife, 7 year old daughter, my wife and I, and his 2 brothers miss him terribly. I would like to thank my tumblr friend,dinosaurwithablog , for helping me through all the grief.
