Note
7, 15, 39!
7. Have tattoos?
Yes, I have 2.5. I have a Harry Potter quote (until the very end) on my left collar bone, a scribbled in heart on my left wrist, and an outline that I let my then-boyfriend put on my right hip that I totally plan to cover up with daffodils (they mean renewal). In my defense, I was young and dumb.
15. Favorite movie
This tends to change a lot based on mood.  I rewatch Winter Solder fairly often. My dog is named after a character from the Boondock Saints. And I really like watching musicals while I clean so I can sing along. And Disney movies when I’m sick.
39. My favorite ice cream flavor
Chocolate chip cookie dough!
Nosy Asks

where saint sebastian goes to die
and in this tethered dress of feathers and yellow-gold daffodils, i feel it coming
oh, how you stood there so carefully, your big body heavy and moving to the cadence of your deep, diaphragmatic breaths—your jewels clanking to the sounds of your inner lover screaming
and i’d gone for the veins, cut with every box-cutter i could find until the sewing machine drawers and cookie boxes emptied on their own
and oh, how unrequited and pathetic i feel that i long to live and i live to long for this strange and alien validation
so tell me about your life, you brown-haired fool
tell me about how much you hate growing old, how much you think i am lying when i debate you’re unsure of loving me
tell me about how much you love my company, how much i’m crazy for thinking and feeling what i think and feel best
tell me about how much you love that i ran away from home to be with you, how much you love me when i cry to you in the same messy bed we’ve been sleeping in—the same bed i withdrew myself to you in an upheaval of my thinking
but just wait. hold the confusion, my giant—because there’s still so much we don’t know about each other...

Set up an altar, serve them cakes, and let them know they are not forgotten. If you wish to communicate with deceased friends and family, this is the best time of year. The veil thins the night of Samhain, making communication easy. Do NOT, however, entice spirits, disrespect them, call demons, or perform any other magic that is anything less than respectful. I repeat, don't do it. Samhain is also a great time to practice divination in the form of runes, scrying, tarot, tea readings, etc. Reflect over the previous year and perform blessing spells to ring in the new year. Astral projection and lucid dreaming is also much easier to perform on this night, but remember to be safe, Banishing magic, especially those for bad habits, are especially strong on this night. Please note this is not a complete list but a brief overview of symbols, colors, herbs, deities, and the like. _______

walls
when i was sixteen i dropped out of high school so i could listen to patti smith’s “piss factory” every day. really study it you know without distraction or lazily painted concrete walls. or the smell of cookies and fruit punch and rubber. or the hot, poison breath of my mother pressing against my neck. no walls, i wouldn’t even notice um
but now the walls were bright green and i was very, very pissed off. boys and girls were separated, like i had any will or want to merely think about their “dicks drooping like lilacs” i just wanted to get free and eat fast food french fries, maybe get a job at The Gap like that kid with the pisces tattoo on his big toe and get some goddamn money and RESPECT. if i got out i could go to the beach and live in a mobile home and watch men masturbate to me on the bus. i could be a big star, i could do anything.
too bad, chad. i have to wash these pathetic plastic dishes. if i scream too loud, i’ll Get It again and i’ll sleep all day, maybe two. if i lie i’ll get out faster, but if i get out too soon i’ll have nowhere to go. so i just keep on shuckin popcorn, my hands go numb and my heart does too. i reach out for the hand that connects me to the other paper dolls, but i’ve been cut. got cut a long time ago. i’m stuck here in this piss factory too, i think.
okay, freedom. i start drinkin until my head falls down, way down. until i lose it completely. no more peaches or honey or gum, but ive learned what a buckwheat noodle is and you can have it for nine dollars and some tax plus you gotta tip me. i mine for thrills until everything becomes completely boring. i lie and tell everyone that i’m jewish, but i’m honest about anything that i have to demonstrate as reality, as truth. truth? truth!
my head gets knocked against a fence and boxed between some hands, and mothers milk is daffodil flavored now, so i gotta get out of here. gotta learn to twist some more knobs, new knobs until i make enough to take the Big Bus Trip. everything is a crime now, i miss those lime green walls. i miss that bitch that used to tell me what to do. anyway, i have to cut my hair now. i have to cut my lip now. i have to bleed 1,000 times now. i have to go shopping. it’s fine.
i swallowed my saint christopher so i pray to saint anthony to help me find it. i wind up coming up from OUT of a toilet. can you believe it? and i’m stuck in the bowl for years, chasing fame and thrills and trains and My Dog and jingle when i’d rather be chasing cherry blossoms and music box notes and You.
now i have a little money, and no one knows my name. the sheets are soft and so are your legs and you smell like my third grade classroom. home. you’re my home. i’m home. now those walls i’ve been runnin from, the ones i’ve been trying to avoid, i want to paint a nice, calm color and hang pictures up of animals in people’s clothing and me and you eating ice cream and laughing or, like, whatever.
