SADIE WASN’T A DRINKER BY ANY MEANS. in fact, she would usually tap out after one glass of wine, having always hated the way being inebriated made her feel. so tonight she sat at the bar in the mystic grill, her glass of red wine barely touched. the human more so enjoyed conversation with the bartender and other patrons than the alcohol, but felt ridiculous not having a drink of her own. a slender digit moved around the rim of the glass as the restaurant’s night life met a small lull, conversations gradually becoming hushed. she wasn’t alone at the bar for long, though, as someone who fit nearly every ‘ tall, dark, mysterious ’ archetype slid onto the stool next to hers. 

the brunette slowly lifted her head to get a better look at the stranger’s face, timid smile settling upon wine stained lips. “ hi there, ” she said finally, having always been too friendly to pass up on an opportunity for conversation.
