I feel so odd being the only person in my friend group who knows like anything about sam and max, because I know the ending of 305 but no one else does, they don't even know the horrors I faced smh

*SPOILERS AHEAD EVENTS IN TDPH, THE MAIN COMICS AND ONE EPISODE IN THE CARTOON ARE MENTIONED!!!*

Sam and Max are the yin and yang of each other, they balance eachother out and can never be separated.

Their remaining pieces of rationality and normality they have is held up by toothpicks and eachothers company.

It's the moments where they are seperated (to me at least) show where they would be without each other: Bad day on the Moon Episode 9 of the cartoon; A glitch in time, 105, 303, 305 in the telltale games, show that they're in horrible places mentally and sometimes physically without eachother, but somehow each time they're reunited in the end even if it means breaking time and reality to do so.

Every timeline they're destined to meet and find each other.

You can interpret this as platonic or romantic, however you like...

ough I love character analysis and your so correct,, adding on that not only that Sam and Max are yin and yang but the creator literally said Max was Id and Sam is the ego in psychology terms, and you quite literally cannot have one without the other because that's how you make decisions,,,, also Max's British guy calling himself a "superego" is apart of the id and ego thing that wasn't even him just being dramatic THEY MAKE ME ILL
