For those looking for some fun in the sun, no trip to California is complete without visiting the San Diego Bay at Coronado, California. Coronado Island is home to lots of nature and wildlife and is home to a Navy SEAL training base.Coronado is Spanish for “crowned” and thus is nicknamed The Crown City. The island is one spot in the greater San Diego area, full of sandy beaches and tons of recreational activities like volleyball, and is home to the famous Hotel del Coronado. Visitors can drive to Coronado Island in just under 10 minutes from mainland San Diego.

Dark and Moody

I rarely find myself outside after dark. When I do, I really find myself. I swear there was more light out, but these pictures definitely carry that evening’s mood. The wisps of clouds with their faint tinge of pinky orange bring me utter peace.
