Want to list my favorite underrated/forgotten animated series/animated movies
Stargate Infinity
Used to watch it as a kid, don't remember much but it's good I guess.
Xyber 9: New Dawn
This series is looking good and characters are interesting, I used to watch it as a kid. Don't remember much though.
Sandokan trilogy by Mondo TV.
I love it so much, as well as Emilio Salgari's novels.
Farhat: The Prince of the Desert.
Another Mondo TV's animated series I watched and it was fun actually. But I didn't watched season two.
The Magician is a French animated television series.
Watched it on TV and it was good.
Alpha Teens On Machines or A. T. O. M.
That's was interesting and cool series. I used to watching it a lot. Don't remember much nowadays about ut but having blurr pieces of the memories watching it.
Life with Louie
That's was funny and heartwarming. Louie's mom and dad reminds me of my patents lol.
Galactik Football
That's so cool and I miss it.
Oban Star Racers
That's was good when I was a kid, my adult self - why they're don't have noses? XD
Underrated Animated Movie
Gisaku 2006 or 2005 year
It's really incredible detailed and wonderful landscapes and characters and a plot is so interesting. But my country dub is don't have a good one for this movie. Huh. Anyway I have this movie on DVD. I can rewatch it soon. Why there's never get a sequel.
NASCAR Racers
That's was cool. Watched it several times on TV.

I see. Never heard of that series before. I really respect Italy having its own widely varying vintage popular culture.
The soap opera Nihal fainting is definitely a huge meme in Turkey. She even faints during the university entrance exam lol. She faints a lot (a lot) in the book as well but in the book it is a clear medical condition whereas in the soap opera it comes across as attention-seeking or something she does to get out of difficult situations. (It might be tied to the way women used to use health problems to get out of situations that you mentioned at Topkapı Thursday).
With Hatice it is less the fainting that is memefied (since other female characters in MC faint too) and more the crying.

Me: you know, it's so weird that Verne was pretty popular in the English speaking world, and yet Emilio Salgari, who was also big in the rest of Europe and Latin America, remained unknown and untranslated until very recently.
Emilio Salgari: so Sandokan is about this Malayan prince turned pirate because the British came, slaughtered his family and put a British man on the throne. The British man is evil and wicked, and while the Malayan prince is fearsome, he's just and even merciful sometimes. The first novel ends with his marrying a British lady, lady Marianna, who chooses to join him in his way of life.
Me: ah, yeah, that was a thing, yeah.

“Sandokan Against the Leopard of Sarawak” (1964) was renamed “Throne of Vengeance” for the DVD release.
Though he is associated with the role of Hercules, Steve Reeves only played Hercules twice out of a filmography of 60 movies.

Round 2 Port: Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece) vs Sandokan (The Pirates of Malaysia)
Monkey D. Luffy is stretchy and bulletproof-- unless sea water is involved. Sandokan is only human, but he's won many battles, become a rajah, and gets motivated by hatred of the British.*
*In case it needs to be clarified, Monkey D. Luffy is not British.
[the pirates MAY use any special skills or equipment they possess. They may NOT call on any friends or creatures to assist them. For the sake of this tournament, all pirates CAN be killed and cannot come back to life during the fight. Remember: this isn't about favorites, this is about fighting power. Los que habéis leído a Salgari seguro que os acordáis de "La perla de Labuan". Pues la isla de Labuan es así de guapa.
Y por supuesto, está en Malasia. Carol Andre era la perla.

If I knew that I will never watch Sandokan animation series again I'd would hide my DVD in my drawer. 😭 I mean I seen Two Tigres on TV back then but now I can found only second season of it.

I've always drifted towards clever characters, but my childhood self was fascinated with how Sandokan from the titular novel overcame every challenge with a mix of inhuman physical strength, iron-like willpower, and raw magnetism. The scene where someone attempts to flog him and he responds by lifting them up effortlessly and stating that he has in his veins royal blood and will not tolerate being insulted rewrote my brain chemistry.

Apparently the Turkish actor Can Yaman will play the lead in a new Sandokan adaptation:
I really don’t know where this would land in a potential “whitewashing” conversation.
