hi everyone! consider this the first public update on my secret project - Chromasynth!

i originally wanted to tell my story in webcomic format (previously named Spectrum Squad), but as i familiarized myself with game development, i decided to create a visual novel instead. it’s currently very much in the early stages, but i’m happy to show bits and pieces.

one of your tweets came on my timeline- you worked at youtooz??? what was that like?

yup! i was a concept artist for around half a year (2021-2022) and was unfortunately laid off due to downsizing. a lot of people experienced the same.

on one hand, it seems like a dream! being able to draw youtubers and memes as a job. the downside is that you'll be assigned things/people that may not be your taste. aka kofefe ahegao vtuber. and as an artist, there's only so much creative power you have. but that's a reality of working with brands.

ultimately, i'm grateful i had the opportunity. i was able to contribute to some cool official collaborations, like with ddlc, cookie run, and hatsune miku. but being apart from it means i can be more honest about how painfully embarrassing some of the stuff is. corporate cringe.

How would the human tadc au work? Like, the same in the pilot, they just look more human? Or is it like a whole different divergence?

pretty much the same, except instead of an entirely new digital form when you enter the circus, they're like costumes that stick to your human body! that's the design philosophy i went into it with, anyway.
