Well… Time to see the results:
Yeah, "Social Democracy" is pretty much what I expected. Some people had similar results but the closest match for them was Social Liberalism instead of Social Democracy, which I feel would have been fitting for me as well.
Many paranoid Yankees would call me a "dirty communist hippie", but honestly, I've never really felt the "leftist" label was accurate for me, and I don't even identify myself as centre-left sometimes. In fact, while we Argentineans don't really have an equivalent of Christian Democrats here (unless you count Peronism/Justicialism, as some argue J. D. Perón's 1st presidency and the Justicialist ideology in its early years were Christian Democratic), I'd probably agree with them on a lot of points if they're like the ones in Uruguay or Germany. Meanwhile, Liberalism has sadly been twisted by authoritarian conservatives and apologists of the past century's military dictatorships in my country, as I mentioned in a previous post; if there was an Argentinean Liberal Party and they were more like their equivalents in Western & Northern Europe (not the Liberal Democrats from the UK, they're useless), not being insanely libertarian or totally subservient to corporations & monopolies or bordering far-right but instead being very much centrist, dedicated to representing small businesses, self-employed workers & farmers and willing to allow the existence of social welfare programs in some form, I'd also agree with them on quite some things. Both Christian Democracy and the kind of European Liberalism I'm talking about here would technically be centre-right... although Yankees would still call me a "dirty communist hippie" somehow.
There's another test, SapplyValues, inspired by 8values. I'm not going to show the questions and my answers, I'll just say they're different from the previous test and show you my results here:
Gonna live-blog myself doing political tests (because I'm bored)
I do care about Politics and there are a few things I'm already sure about, but I don't feel like writing a master-post with everything I believe in, so I'm just gonna post my results and various questions from the (sort of) famous 8values, along with a few other tests inspired by it. I'm well aware that those tests aren't completely accurate and are almost exclusively based upon what political debates in the USA are usually about, but I'll do them anyway and then I'll let you take my results and try to infer what exactly my opinions are.
Before I start, I'll leave here the link to an analysis of all possible 8values results (yes, it's from Reddit, but no, I don't really care about that right now), as a reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/PoliticalCompass/comments/fj1nh0/all_possible_8values_results_analysed/
